I have been listening to Southern Gospel Music for over 50 years and have never heard this song till about a week ago. How have I missed this beautiful and strong song. Listen to the words. They are amazing.
What a singing testimony!! These boys have been so blessed by God with wonderful voices. I know each one of them give all thanks and praise to the Lord. I've listened to this song no less than six times today and each and every time I have gotten chill bumps up and down my spine and arms. Thank you Lord for Jimmy and Dailey & Vincent.
I just found out yesterday that this was written by Don Reid of the Statler Brothers. I knew they sang it but it just sounds/feels like an old time gospel classic! I love it so much.
I've had the pleasure of seeing Dailey & Vincent in concert about five times and going two more times next week and once when Jimmy was with them. WOW! Is all I can say. Fantastic!!!!
Gaither homecoming. singers are the one single things that gives me so much Joy and Peace every time I hear it . Brings tears of Joy everytime. Thank you
And what he gave that day on the cross not one bit of love has been lost Hold my hand Stand up and say If you were there on that day On the other side of the cross On the other side of the cross The side that no one could see On the spirt of things yet to come On the future of you and me what he gave that day on the cross Not one bit of love has been lost Hold my hand stand up and say If you were there on that day on the other side of the cross Hold my hand stand up and say if you were there on that day On the other side of the cross
According to the Bible- if you are born again, you were there spiritually with Jesus that day on the cross. :) It's in one of Paul's epistles. I'm sorry that I don't remember which one.
I thought I must be the only one to notice. Nothing wrong with another group doing their own interpretation, but I do prefer it in the little bit quicker tempo as done in the Statler’s original version. Jimmy has a spectacular voice.

It's great that some of these country/bluegrass stars can mix in Christian music along with their regular sound. Big respect.
So great he continued with his singing after the Statler Brothers 👍👍👍💕💕💕💕💕

Jimmy just knows how to sell the song--Daily and Vincent are naturals and Chris Davis is a monster bass singer. Great presentation.
Love love it. Like Jimmy Fortune.
It doesnt get any better than this. Thank you Jesus.
I Love this song both here and when Jimmy did it with the Statlers. Amen!!
He does have so much talent. But let's remember songs are only words to music until God anoints the song!
Can't get enough of Jimmy. Thanks for all the uploads. (May 5, 2021.)

Beautiful but waaayy too slow.
