a great book to read is called , “The truth about Waster, Christmas, and Halloween”. Also, the only things God wants us to keep Holy is the Seventh day Sabbath and to be Baptized of the Holy Spirit and for us to have communion service’s with unleavened bread, grape juice and not fermented wine, and the washing of the feet. Jesus never celebrated B-days or Christ-Mass. Jesus not not mix paganism with anything Christlike, these are creeping compromises that being about confusion and make us like the world and not a peculiar people, set apart.
My parents were missionaries, now pastors, they didn’t really celebrated Christmas, when I got married I noticed my husband’s fam celebrated Christmas just to show off new clothes and to give gifts, but nothing about Jesus. I decided I wanted to celebrate the Lord those days and I told my parents I wanted to cook something, get together, sing as much as we could, and pray for those who are need salvation, that’s what we do now, and we eat our favorite food, we stay together during 24 and 25 and we have been able to bring other families and explain to them the real Christmas is Jesus in your heart, it has been a blessing, I don’t care too much about decoration but my Savior who loved me /us so much that left his glory to humble himself to become a human like me, to save me. Oh thank you dear Jesus, thank you! Blessings to you all.
For me, it comes to Exodus 23:22-26 and Deuteronomy 12:28-32. Everyone can determine for themselves, of course, but for me, I see pride and anger when I speak against Christmas. I will celebrate God’s feasts, and that gives me so much peace that I didn’t have about Christmas. We really need to follow God’s peace and do what He is leading us to do, and allow our brothers and sisters to do the same for themselves. We can tell eachother what we believe and why, God tells us not to argue about it and to not lord it over eachother. I love you guys.
what stands out to me is that in the book of judges, Gideon was told by God to tear down the altar of Baal and put up an altar for God in place. so pagan origins or not, it’s what the world knows about Jesus now and we should use this time to celebrate Him while leading others to know Him as well and allowing our light to shine in this time
Deuteronomy 12:29-32 When the Lord your God cuts off before you the nations whom you go in to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land, 30 take care that you be not ensnared to follow them, after they have been destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire about their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods?-that I also may do the same.’ 31 You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way, for every abominable thing that the Lord hates they have done for their gods, for they even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods. 32 [2] “Everything that I command you, you shall be careful to do. You shall not add to it or take from it.
@@SimplySami13 I agree with this caveat : it should look nothing like the world. Here’s why: over in the Corinthians 8 Paul talks about how we can eat any food, but if we are told that it has been offered to idols and we eat it anyway it looks to unbelievers,or those young in the faith, like we are in agreement with the worship of that idol. It then becomes a stumbling block for those people if we then try to minister to them about Jesus. Why would they receive what we are saying when they just saw us partake in worship of an idol. If we are going to be truly effective in reaching the lost we can’t look like the world while we’re doing it.
I don’t do Christmas, as it is celebrated on the same day that pagans celebrate the re-birth of the Sun god. They believe that the Sun god dies on the winter Solstice, 12/21; is dead for three days, and then comes back to life, so they celebrate his birth on 12/25. Interestingly enough at the Vatican in St. Peter’s Square, on the Spring Equinox, the symbolism of the Sun gods conception is played out. When the morning Sun strikes the Egyptian Obelisk in St. Peter’s Square (which is a phallic symbol of the Sun god Nimrod of Babylon), it causes its shadow to fall on the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica (which represents the womb of the moon goddess Semiramus). This symbolizes their annual sexual union, and nine months later, the reincarnated Sun God Tammuz is born, on 12/25 Christ-mass is a creation of the Roman Bishops and Emperor Constantine in the 4th century, which combined their worship of Sol Invictus, their Sun god, with the Messiah of the Bible. Besides that, Messiah was born in the fall, not in the winter.
Well, aren't we to celebrate God, daily? Does that mean we "take a break" because pagans are "celebrating" their false gods? That doesn't make sense, to me...
That's way too complicated. The6 do their pagan thing. We should celebrate Jesus's birthday. Just like we can do All Saints Day or Reformation Day on October 31. Just like instead of bunnies and candy on Easter we focus on Christ. It's all focus.
Perhaps someone will find this interesting...Point 1. The Catholic system that created Christmas/Christ Mass in the 4th century also taught and continues to teach, that the Lord wasn't actually physically born. That, Mary not only became pregnant through Immaculate conception but that she gave birth through "Immaculate" means. In other words, they declare in their Catechism, that Mary was not "Defiled" in any way, and never stopped being a virgin. No pain, no blood, etc. Not that she was a virgin, gave birth, and then was returned to "Virginity", but that she never seized to being a virgin. Point 2. Why didn't the Apostles tell us the birth date of the most important individual to ever walk the face of the Earth? Could it be because they received and declared Him as the eternal Creator of the Universe? Personally, as a redeemed believer, and Pastor, I don't celebrate Christmas, as I don't see what it has to do with the Lord period. Trees, stockings, mistletoe, Santa; what does that have to do with the Lord? It's not being prideful to simply ask the question, "Why do people choose their tradition"? The truth is, the majority would celebrate Christmas regardless. The common thing I hear is, "The Lord knows my heart". I agree, He does, and He knows you have chosen a tradition of men, created by a theology that denies His finished work upon the cross and declares they, and only they, hold the keys to salvation, that feel the need to re-sacrifice Him on an alter daily around the globe. Is it fair to suggest, that the Creator of the universe deserves more than a repurposed pagan celebration adopted by Rome? The same church that gave us Halloween.
@@YaakovBuchner I agree with this full. That why I don’t feel that these pagan derived accoutrements, such as Christmas trees, reindeer, mistletoe, holly, etc., should be brought into the churches. Nor should Easter egg hunts, trick or treating, or any other pagan ritual. However, celebrate the birth, cross, resurrection, and glorification of Jesus all day everyday! Folks can do whatever they want away from church, as they do, but the churches should be holy and set apart from man made glorifications of worldliness. He is calling a spotless bride. Without worldly stains on her garments. He loves the details. Also, as His body, we can ask Him what He feels when we partake in this rituals. If we give Him time to answer and show us how He feels about things, it will help us understand how He wants to be celebrated every day.
I am a born again and my husband is lukewarm. We had been doing the whole Santa thing since the kids were little and we both have disagreements on continuing the man made tradition with our youngest. By the grace of God, the Lord placed some heavy convictions on my heart and guided me out of the darkness; praise God. I left the new age movement in January of this year and have been working diligently to make it a point of the true meaning of Christmas with the littles. No Santa decorations, just very simple garland around the house and a little tree. I feel so grateful that the Lord is waking me up, I just pray that it’s not too late for our children.
Wow I could have written this myself! Veryyyyyy similar journey, born again this year from the new age, hub is lukewarm and not wanting to think too much about changing stuff. I’ve been on fire for Jesus and hungry to learn and grow! You go girl!
I have been so blessed by your ministry. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for leading me here. Thank you, Angela and Mike for obeying God’s call and teaching His church ❤
It is so amazing to hear this. The Holy Spirit put this on my heart last year. As the truth of it all was being revealed to me, it was unsettling for me to ignore it. I kept asking and praying with what to do, specifically the Christmas tree, and The LORD revealed this to me in a dream. I was in my house and I saw a huge mantle above my fireplace. On the left was the most creepy, offputting nutcracker I have ever seen. And to the right was the tanakh (Old Testament writings) GLOWING with this aurora , like I have never seen before! Immediately upon waking, I knew this was the LORD spoke to me. And what did I do? My flesh took over and I still decided to set up my tree because of me feeling bad with my children not having one. As I was setting it up, I had the worse feeling come over me, dread, doom. I knew the Holy Spirit was grieving inside of me. In the middle of setting it up, I immediately stopped and decided to take it down. We got rid of the tree and decorations, and I had immense peace come over me, one that feels from God.
I stopped celebrating Christmas after I had a creepy dream about it as well. I was conflicted, still wanting to cling tightly to my enjoyment of celebrating it. Then a had a dream. I knew the Lord was showing me to stop.
Wow ❤ praise God for your obedience sister. Job 33:14-17 In a dream, in a vision of the night, When deep sleep falleth upon men, In slumberings upon the bed; Then he openeth the ears of men, And sealeth their instruction, That he may withdraw man from his purpose, And hide pride from man.
Angela, to be honest I found more anger coming from the people celebrating Christmas including my very own family. Even from those whom I thought I could be vulnerable with. No one cares to stop and think. Their cozy festivities are everything. I was genuinely looking for the answers. I was lost… (probably still am) in my search for the truth. Everyone I tried talking to, attacked me. As if how dare I even ask or question Christmas. This all started when I watched Truth or Traditions by Jim Staley. The biggest thing I took away from his message was: No matter what we feel about Christmas, it all comes down to: What does He think? If we live to glorify Him, our Lord and savior Jesus Christ… what does HE FEEL? You know? It made me think. I just so desperately want to please Him and not fall to any side.
That’s fair. I did receive a comment from someone here saying it was a “dumb” question to ask (meaning, ‘of COURSE we should celebrate), so I suppose the anger can come from both sides of the aisle if the person is not being led by the Spirit of the Lord. I agree with you, I just want to please Him! Thats why there’s been such a wrestle.
I agree with you. I learned all that about the holidays last year and I still haven’t told anyone about it. After reading about what you went through with your loved ones, I am quite nervous.
In spite of Jim Staley’s past legal issues, his “Truth or Traditions” video should be viewed and heeded by all true believers. It’s profound and edifying. Glad you viewed and considered.
My favorite discussion of this thus far. Well done. And I was afraid to subject myself to more on this after seeing some others addressing the topic in a far different manner.
I have Never heard such Holy Spirit inspired conversation that brought me to the Saviour and Not to what every one else is saying. I will definitely be sharing this with my family! You make your perspective God centered, not you centered.
It’s interesting to me that just over two years ago I came across your podcast in regards to New Age and crystals and tarot when I was struggling to fully release it and I was looking for confirmation. And I’ve been wrestling with Christmas for three years and this year has been seeking extra confirmation and your podcast has been put before me by someone again, thank you for making this video!
Hi Angela, I want to start by saying that this year will be my first not putting up a Christmas tree. It’s not that I feel convicted not to, but I also don’t feel led by God to do it. Much like other changes I’ve made in my life recently-such as no longer feeling the need for false nails, wearing makeup every time I work, or dressing up for gatherings-it’s a shift that feels like part of my personal walk with Him. Last year, I did put up a tree during my deconstruction, but it fell flat. While I was excited to decorate at first, it wasn’t fulfilling in the way I had hoped. I watched your video from last year about celebrating Christmas a few months ago. To be completely honest, it seemed like your stance at that time leaned more toward your personal enjoyment. That being said, I offer no judgment, as I have plenty of my own shortcomings and sins. I wondered if you would address this topic again this year, and I’m so glad that the Lord led you to do so. The honesty and humbleness in this year’s video is such a stark contrast to last year’s, and to me, it reflects the fruit of the Spirit in your life. It shows a lot of growth in your faith, and I truly commend you for it. Am I celebrating Christmas? Yes, but only to share Jesus’s love with others. THIS is what I feel led to do by God. I’m planning on gifting items to others that will help them in their walk with Christ. For instance, I want to gift my family members new Bibles, as I know they are believers, and encourage them to spend more time in His word. My intent is to use the holiday to fully glorify God and to make it an instrument for His glory. To me, putting up a tree doesn’t necessarily add to this. Do I think the tree is demonic? Not at all, just as I don’t believe makeup or fake nails are demonic. They simply don’t seem necessary to me, much like fancy decorations, no matter what time of year it is. When you spoke about your recent choice to put up the tree, it seemed like there was genuine guilt in your expression and body language. I really appreciate your vulnerability in sharing about your past idolatry of Christmas and the desire to have the tree for your daughter’s first Christmas. That’s such an honest struggle to navigate, especially with the memories and joy we want to create for our children. I’ve also experienced negative reactions from others when I’ve made personal decisions about Christmas, so I understand the hurt that can come from feeling condemned. For me, as I focus on returning strongly to the Lord, I don’t feel led by Him to partake in the “ritual” of putting up a tree. I use the word “ritual” because it feels distinctly different to me from something like having house plants. The tree feels like more than a decoration-it’s a symbol and part of a traditional yearly celebration that involves so much focus on decorating and adorning it. I want to pray for you as you continue to let God search your heart and guide you toward the ways He wants you to glorify Him. I agree with you wholeheartedly that we should celebrate Jesus-His birth, life, ministry, death, and resurrection-every single day. I pray that we continue to honor Him with every breath we take and every action we make. Thank you for your humility and honesty in this video. It’s been a blessing to watch your journey unfold.
Thank you for taking the time to watch the entirety of this video, and for leaving such a thoughtful, kind comment to follow. I appreciate you sharing your own journey and for offering your prayers. This comment touched me. May God bless you
@@heavenandhealingpodcast That’s exactly what I prayed my comment would do, Angela. Thank you for your kind words. To me, I feel the Holy Spirit constantly reminding me that some of these things we focus on-like the tree-are not important, even trivial in the grand scheme. We know what truly matters: to love and follow the Lord our God with all our mind, body, heart, and soul; to teach what Jesus taught us; and to bring His love to others so they may know Him and follow Him too. I do believe the debate over things like this can be a distraction, but I also believe whatever God leads you to do-whether that’s having a tree or not-that’s what you should follow. It’s between you and the Lord, and that’s what matters most. I pray for His love to fill your cup and overflow in this time. At first, I wasn’t going to respond, but I feel led to share a confession with you, knowing you can return prayer for me. One of your videos helped me realize how smoking weed was negatively affecting my walk with Christ. While I didn’t stop immediately, over the span of a few days, I felt more and more convicted to let it go. Eventually, I threw everything away, and I don’t miss it at all. However, I am still struggling with nicotine addiction and the habit of drinking beer before bed to “help me relax.” I know these things aren’t necessary, and they’re holding me back from fully relying on the peace of God. I humbly ask for your prayers as I continue to surrender these struggles to the Lord. I trust that He will deliver me in His perfect time, and I’m striving to be patient as He transforms my mind through His Word. Thank you for listening and for all that you do to glorify His name. You are a blessing, and I’m so grateful for the ways you’ve shared your journey with others like me.
@heavenandhealingpodcast I haven't watched the video but I can see from this comment you've chosen to put up a Christmas tree. Please sister, Jeremiah 10 God clearly forbids us having any dealing with the cutting down and decoration of trees... (it's definitely about a Christmas tree) ... please research the origins more and have nothing to do with this pagan ritual. All the "decorations" have pagan roots.. even the door wreaths. The Lord tells us to abstain from all appearance of evil.. once you see how the pagans use these decorations and their meanings behind them, you won't want to partake in any of it... (learn not the way of the heathen). I just watched your video on wicked and you said about our children "missing out" yes we do want them to miss out on witchcraft and evil.. CHRISTMAS is just another form of it but sparkly wrapped as a warm Christian season when it has nothing at all to do with our Lord. Please rethink the tree and research further 🙏
OMGOSH I really love your interpretation of the tree of Life and the Christmas tree and it being the tree that we can eat from. It's actually inspired me to start looking at all the edible kind of decorations I can make for my tree next year and start doing that as a representation of that! Thank you!
My husband told me(when I was wrestling with this years ago- when we first got married) that the evergreen tree represents Jesus who lives forever and never dies, the lights represent Jesus’ light of the world and the star on top represents the star that the wise men followed to visit Jesus. I’ve never heard of that representation of the Christmas tree like that before but that was a beautiful way to look at it. And now we tell our children the same thing! As well as the actual reason for the season in addition. ❤
This is lovely. I like to believe that there's a way we can take these counterfeit holidays from the evil one and make them good. A celebration of God and His gifts of family and friends, good food and fond memories. God can do all things and He triumphs over all.
@Tpane17 When I read your comment the 1st scriptures that came to mind were- Exodus 32 .. the entire chapter but this was the one that came to mind instantly. 5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, 👉“Tomorrow there will be a festival to the Lord.” 👈 6 So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry. The Children of Israel also thought they could take unholy things & reclaim them. This wasn't a comment meant to judge anyone. Just wanted to share what was put on my heart.
Going back to Halloween. In Nehemiah chapter 9.. October 31st was a day of repentance and reading of the word of God in the assembly! I was so blessed to see this. October 31st literally belongs to the people of God! Thank you for your expository ministry. I pray you and your husband and family be mightily blessed by God! In Jesus' name! 🙏
"If its not the 'holy spirit' its an unholy spirit"...... This 💯 I just heard you say this while listening to the video you made about the Wicked Movie 🎬 & this was actually a statement I applied to Christmas & the 'Xmas Spirit' / 'Holiday Spirit'. Our family was convicted by the Holy Spirit to no longer participate in Christmas or any other Secular Holiday. It's been about 7yrs now. We thought we would miss it at first. However as young babes in the faith we were unaware that when God asks us to eliminate something that doesn't please him he will replace it with something he considers Holy. So we have now been keeping The Feast Days (Gods Feasts mentioned in his word) 🎉 Not only do God's Feast Days help us to better understand him & his Character.... Every. SINGLE. One of them point to Jesus Christ of Nazareth ' Yeshua Hamashiach 📯❤️🔥✨️🕊 If you or anyone else is interested in this topic for further study. Below are some scriptures for consideration 😊 PEACE & GRACE TO YOU ALL 🙏🏼 Deuteronomy 16:13-15 Leviticus 23 Exodus 23:14 1 Corinthians 5:8 Zechariah 14:16 When God's Kingdom is established on earth, all nations will keep his feasts.
With the whole world coming to my doorstep on Oct. 31st, I will buy a shipping container full of treats to hand out. With the whole world's focus somewhat on Jesus on Dec. 31st, I will sing Christmas hymns & choruses from dawn til dusk, and put a decorated tree on my car, if it means taking the opportunity to declare the Good News of His coming!
To everyone struggling with this topic…. The wrestling is there by conviction of the Holy Spirit and that’s a wonderful thing. It gets dangerous when we wrestle and ignore that conviction after justifying our point to continuing in those very things we were convicted of. We are wrestling for a reason but it’s easier to continue celebrating something we have done our whole lives. It’s extremely hard to abstain from these traditions of man (still very much alive in the church today) some people are cold and hateful either way. Stand with your convictions brothers and sisters. We could argue all day if we should or shouldn’t celebrate worldly celebrations. This one however is slapping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ name on a pagan day of celebration. Mixing the profane with the holy. Look deeper, we don’t need facts to stand on our convictions. He doesn’t want us to worship Him in the ways the pagans worship their gods… and as far as the “Lord knows my heart” guys, the heart is wicked and deceitful above all things, who could know it?
The Lord does. We don't. Just because one day shares with another, don't you think that any day chosen there would be a pagan celebration on that day too? They don't own days. Every single day is Jesus's day. I believe that the problem is in the idolatry around Christmas. The spending money you don't have, guilt over gifts, depression because someone died around that time. However. Christmas celebrates love. The secular world has tried to commandeer it. It's up to everyone to use discernment. We aren't celebrating in the way of pagans. I don't see orgies, human sacrifice, or bonfires. We do things differently from the secular world. We don't drink, spend to excess, or use Christmas as a vacation from reality. It helps avoid those traps by being poor.
Thank you so much for your obedience to the Lord and your vulnerability! I have been wrestling with this for a while now & this gave me such good revelations!
Still listening, but loving this! Our little church has been teaching on the Lord's feast days! It's been amazing to experience them and the conviction of our community to as well. God is so good. As I'm typing this it reminds me of when he pursues his people through the old testament. They stray and they come back because he calls them back. He does the thing, always. Your testimony here as you wrestle with things is a beautiful picture of how God works in our lives and brings us deeper into communion with him and knowledge of him. So far in my own journey or wrestling with anything worldly, including Christmas, the draw to God and his ways has become stronger. The goodness of the law, the Word, has become clearer and the desire for anything less dissipates. Christ is the Word, the Word at the beginning, the Word given to the people, the Word made flesh, the Word fulfilled, perfect. And we are made in the image of God and through Christ are made to be more like him, the Word. And that work being done in us by the Holy Spirit will be completed, perfected. Just wow. Here we are in the process of this learning to love the things of the Father. Love the invitation to this conversation, love you, and God bless your family as you seek Him and spread the gospel.
I truly appreciate how you incorporated Scripture from 1 Corinthians 9 to support your perspective. It really resonates with me, and I found this video to be quite meaningful and enriching. Thank you for sharing!
The stars don’t belong to pagans either yet they use them for astrology. It’s how you use the thing. A fir outside and appreciating it’s beauty for being a part of nature is godly, but bringing it inside and decorating it is different
Hi there sister. Like you, I was delivered from witchcraft, and what you're doing with your channel is wonderful and needed. It is my decision to no longer celebrate Christmas or Easter, not out of paranoia, not out of fear, it's simply a matter of personal conviction. I hold no judgement against Christians who choose to celebrate. The truly unfortunate part of this topic is that it's driving division amongst believers, which is something I'm certain the enemy is enjoying. He absolutely is the author of confusion.
I think that with the trees it’s more because they are dressed up, and people put gifts under the tree and the gifts come from “Santa” and we’re making it kind of like an idol. We sing around the tree we all gather around it and wait for Santa and his reindeer. Like I don’t know it seems kind of like a ritual.
Thank You Lord for having her share her journey and wrestling! I have been wrestling with things like celebrating the worldly holidays and if I should celebrate them, or not. Idolatry and the roots/history were my concerns. Thank you for your obedience to share my sister in Christ. Most important is to seek out the Lord and ask Him what He desires for us individually.
I’m feeling mixed about Christmas this year also. It must be a move of the Holy Spirit. He does it every so gently so it can be in our own doing. I had a dream almost two weeks ago that God was prophesying to me through me. He was telling me that all these Christmas traditions are an idol. I remember seeing images of Santa, a sled, among many other Christmas-like images. I couldn’t shake the dream off and it’s still festering in my spirit. I’m saying this as I’ve got a Christmas tree up and am wrestling with what to do. Part of me wants to do away with all of it and the other part feels stuck with the tradition because I would have to explain to everyone including my family why we won’t celebrate because it doesn’t sit right with me anymore. Lord lead me and help me and do not let me be lead astray!
the Christian celebration of Christmas was invented by Romans as a way to co-opt and tame the raucous pagan holiday of Saturnalia, which was itself essentially a celebration of the days getting longer after the winter solstice. I don't like Christmas or Thanksgiving if you want to celebrate do you we have free will
This is probably the best most rational commentary I've seen on this topic. Thank you Angelamarie, for all you're doing to advance the Kingdom. May you and yours be blessed in all ways. 🕊️✝️🕊️ Btw~ How fitting YT decided to sponsor your vid with an AC/DC advert 🙄 Christ is King 👑🙏🏻
The last 5 years or so I have felt less and less drawn to the extras of Christmas…trees, lights, decor, and wanted to focus on the reason for the season only which is Jesus. It helped me simplify back to what is most important and let go of the dilemma what is pagan/worldly vs what is Christian. I highly recommend this to believers. ❤
I recommend a non covetous, stress free approach to gifts. Possible approaches: make homemade gifts, do experiences instead of a zillion presents like a road trip or ice skating, do stockings plus 1 gift, draw names, or do the "something to wear, something to read, something you want, something you need " approach. I did tool boxes for my children and added 1 or 2 tools each year.
Very interesting! I clicked on this video open minded (not thinking Christmas is bad) that it might be not for christians. Very informative and I totally agree. We have relatives that are very hateful and aggressive about how Christmas is a pagan holiday and judging us. Creates a lot of family gathering into unhealthy debates.
Thanks for speaking up about this topic and willing to be vulnerable. Praying that the Lord continues to reveal His righteousness, His truth and His ways that are higher than ours, according to His divine will, plans and purposes for our lives, through Yeshua (Jesus) our King ❤ I hope I can share a bit of what my family has been led to by the Holy Spirit, to help shed light on how God is moving in His children. Christmas was my favorite celebration as a child. As an adult, I came out of new age/ witchcraft and practicing Winter Solstice. After studying and seeking the truth, and finding the true Yeshua (Jesus) Halleluyah! I stopped practicing / observing all wordly holidays, as I didn't want to take part in the enemy's feasts. (1 Corinthians 10:20 AMPC) As someone who sees in the spirit, I've seen the effects of people bringing christmas decorations and trees into a church building. It is an open door to little spirit demon gremlins and all kinds of evil creatures. The first time the Holy Spirit showed me this, a sick feeling came over me, and I watched as these little demons ran around in the spirit, dampening the atmosphere, and causing little problems. These things are pagan, and they are open doors. The birth of Yeshua (Jesus Christ) our King likely occurred around the feast of Tabernacles or Sukkot in late summer/early fall, not winter. What people don't know, can (and likely does) harm them. Praise God for His grace as we continue to learn to walk in His ways. He is such a patient and loving Father. I am now married to a preacher, and we have been led by the Holy Spirit to observe and celebrate God's biblical feasts. We celebrated Passover, Rosh Hashanah, and Sukkot this year, and were so blessed by the glory of God and His presence, joy and miracles! These were so much better than any easter, gregorian new year, or christmas I'd ever celebrated growing up. They celebrate our King in a way God asked us to celebrate and meet Him in His Word. We want to share this joy and blessings with others by encouraging them to learn God's calendar and celebrate His moadim (appointments with us) feasts, in the new covenant. 💛 This year, we're celebrating our first Hannukah, (by choice, to honor God, but it's not a feast like the others.) Its true meaning is actually about removing pagan defilements and idols, and celebrating our true living God! (And interesting enough, this is the first year in a long time, that it lines up between Dec 25-Jan 1. What a transition.) 👑🔥🕊 We are having our first child this winter, and are glad God is teaching us about His feasts, so we can raise our family with the traditions that God asked us to celebrate. My (saved) siblings who have children, are teaching them, and transitioning into new traditions away from the world. And the children are receiving it, fine without the pagan ones, and happy to take part in new experiences for the Lord! We don't judge other believers for celebrating what they choose to do. We know everyone is on a walk and in different seasons with the Lord. (Romans 14) We obey the Holy Spirit in how we're led, and feel led to share what we've learned to bless others. We pray that all God's children will continue to be led and sanctified by His Spirit, to come into the fullness of living in His kingdom on earth. To our Almighty Yehovah God be all the glory forever and ever! 🎉🎉🎉 Thank you for all you do for Him, and for being obedient to the Holy Spirit. May God bless you, your family, and your ministry ❤
I haven’t listened to the full video yet I want to make it clear. There is hostility on BOTH sides. Me kindly not participating in Christmas makes people furious. They feel judged and angry by me simply opting out. Telling someone “ no thank you, I don’t celebrate Christmas “ causes anger in people that is CLEARLY not fruit of the spirit.
People probably think you are an atheist when you say that. I would make sure would say that the Lord has convicted you not to celebrate it. I think when someone says merry christmas, the right answer is Thank you. Just like when I was an atheist, when someone offered prayers I would say thank you. It's a greeting of good will. Also people are used to the rejection of Jesus in response to Christmas. They may be assuming that you don't like Jesus. It's looking at the intent. We weren't able to have kids so every time people would assume I did and act surprised, I would feel hurt. Well, that was in me. Because most people have them and are curiously wanting to share in conversation. I used to say something to make them feel bad for assuming. Now I just say we weren't given that blessing but many others, thank the Lord. And then I change the subject. Not everything is an attack. Sometimes human nature is to seek offense. At the same time, I don't celebrate halloween. Usually I am met with confusion and questions why or we move on. Sometimes we want to perceive offense as well, even when it's not there.
I don’t really see much hostility from the folks who are convicted not to celebrate. But from the other side, yeah, a bunch. It’s not enough that the whole world thinks we’re weird, we don’t need our Christian brothers and sisters to tell us we’re in the wrong, or call us JWs. I even heard a Christian TH-camr state that those who don’t celebrate holidays and expose their origins will not be saved (he used way harsher terms).
It’s very interesting people get so activated by this. I didn’t even know this was a big argument amongst Christians. I guess I haven’t shared with believing friends I’ve stepped back from all the Christmas craze, not out of fear but just because it’s my decision and not really anyone else’s business. 🤷🏻♀️ It makes me wonder if Christian’s have always disagreed about so many things and has social media just revealed this as we all express opinions with people we don’t know even know? 🤔
She was speaking about the fact of having an altar for Yahweh. That was the altar that was only in the temple. The Jewish didn’t have them in their own homes. They did celebrate the feasts but the altar was at the temple.
The part about the weddings is actually in the Bible. They had celebrations and that’s where Yeshua did His first miracle. When the Prodigal son came home the father had a celebration because “ my son was dead and is now alive again.” 💯👍🏽
Angela, thank you for this. I love your long form and I listen while I stock shelves at work. I have most if these plants, especially spider. Mine blooms and has babies all the time! Pagans do not own every day or the concept of celebrating. I am celebrating Jesus. Period. I celebrate Independence day and my birthday. That doesn't mean that if there is a pagan celebration coinciding with it that I am celebrating a pagan day. That's the point I make to people. Christmas should be about love. And mostly it is. I turn my back on the commercial aspects for the most part. I love winter so I the decorations are really beautiful. A tree is beautiful. And no one will see the appearance of evil in celebration of Christmas. I keep watching and editing... I love your idea to bless someone. I am a grocery store worker so I don't make much. However, I am going to pray on this and see if this isn't something my husband and I can't raise for a person here in town next year. I sell on ebay and my husband crochets. A friend bought us a brand new oven one year feeling moved by God. She was one of many seeds planted in my mind. God bless you.
This is a beautiful testimony and one I wish more would hear. The gift of giving is something that I feel is sadly absent among many in the body of Christ. I understand how many are struggling and I also understand that just as many are in a position to do this. Giving doesn't have to be extravagant; sometimes even a tank of gas can completely change a struggling individual's trajectory. The Lord will bless you as He knows your heart.
I know this is late....have watched a few of your videos in the past few days. Please keep doing what you are doing! You are a BLESSING! And yes, I understand it is the Holy Spirit/Christ in you and I am so grateful for your obedience! I have always celebrated the fact that Jesus came down in the flesh! I have always put on the presents, "from Jesus" and explained to my kiddos that if it weren't for Jesus, we wouldn't even have life! That we wouldn't have the "ability to work" and make the money to buy them with! That we don't know exactly what day our Savior was born on but that we don't have to know everything and since "All things were created by Him and for Him"....yeah....nuff said....sending Love
I’ve learned quite a bit from Brother Robert Breaker. His videos on Christmas break down the Pagan ties that you were looking for. We ‘regard the day’ as others in our family due but our Christmas decor consists of a nativity set. Our daughters birthday is the week before and that’s what we do gifts for - birthdays. God bless, what a wonderful ministry you have here!
Have you noticed that the nativity scene is completely wrong? The wise men (we have no idea how many there were) were not at the birth of Jesus, and they didn't arrive until much, much later. Jesus was a small child and when they did come, they visited Jesus and His family in a house, not a manger.
I have to say that I disagree that rejecting Christmas as a ritual means that we have to abandon everything “of the world”. I don’t use my phone for “rituals”. In fact the Lord has convicted me to be sure that I am in prayer to Him each day before I look at my phone. I do think that rituals are not good. You’re right we shouldn’t avoid living because of fear of man though. But I think that those who choose not to celebrate Christmas, can do so without judging others. I’m currently trying to find my footing in all of it because I feel so convicted about participating in the activities surrounding Christmas and birthdays etc. I feel like there’s some responsibility to share our convictions but without judgment and make sure that we can back it up somehow. I’m still praying about all of this.
One year, while going through my divorce, I didn’t celebrate Christmas 🎄. Someone was confused and concerned by my lack of decorations asking if I was a Christian
@@GrandmaKnightLife it’s so difficult because if you decide you can’t bring yourself to participate you must be a “heathen”. I feel like if I don’t feel like “Christmas” is enjoyable or something that is adding to my world, and I honour Jesus EVERY OTHER DAY, that I shouldn’t have to feel guilty for it.
Thank you! I’m sorry you went through so much too ❤️ it’s difficult for so many people over the holidays. And I think it’s often hard for people to understand others.
I forgot to mention the 2 videos that really helped us go deeper on this subject: "Truth or Tradition" by Passion For Truth Ministries, & "The Christmas Question" by 119 Ministries. So much information contained within that helped us make our decision.
I went into prayer and fast about this this year. The Holy Spirit said, "They created a new religion, I'm not in it." I received this after remembering telling Jews that GOD'S yoke is easy and burden light, because of all their man made practices that made following Judaism difficult and all about self and works.
I had some pagan friends. They would specifically insist they are NOT practicing or celebrating Christmas but Winter Solstice. If I said Merry Christmas they'd get irritated. When we exchanged gifts they pointed out that these weren't Christmas gifts but Winter Solstice gifts. This was after they were exchanged. If Christmas was pagan then real pagans wouldn't be so adamant that they aren't celebrating Christmas but Winter Solstice. Its about INTENTION. I am not longer friends with them, they were super toxic and hurt us. My mistake I won't make again. I didn't know they were pagan when we became friends.
But what about those that aren’t Christian that celebrate it the same way? Trees, gifts, wreaths. I guess we could celebrate his birth, but to me it would look like any other day.
Well I am celebrating the birth of my Saviour and do did the Angels! The fulfillment of prophecies throughout the OT from Genesis and the way I was taught now being old, the fulfillment of some of Gods feasts that are)were a dress rehearsal for the coming of Messiah! The rest of the feasts will be fulfilled when Jesus returns. If we cancel Christmas we are in fact cancelling Jesus as it is a world wide recognition of our faith. By cancelling it we are doing the enemies of Christianity a favour who want this holiday cancelled.! Everyone loves Christmas, nativities choirs etc. Nobody needs a tree and nobody is being pagan. Yes some get drunk etc but their own responsibility? No Christians do ot are worshipping trees plastic, pine or decorated Jesus is not against joy how very puritan. As if celebrating Christmas is the worst sin. I have been thrown out of pious. Christian groups for celebrating the birth of Jesus!😮 ONE day btw. I sing carols, have a nativity up and have lights in the window and candles. I can't be bothered with a tree now my kids grown .A light in the darkness as Jesus is! Wonderful joy so much to celebrate, Hallelujah the fulfilment of Gods promises and we witness this to the world.
Brothers and sisters, my teenager who does wear a cross, recently bought a necklace with a star pendant. I explained to her that stars, suns and moons are pagan symbols of the occult and New Age, and that she should not be wearing them. her reply was that God created the stars. True. But I still feel she should not be wearing them that is giving consent. I re-explained the spiritual battle and that’s giving consent by participating in it. I got nowhere because…it’s a pretty necklace and teenagers don’t think. This is why they are so susceptible to the enemy. Any suggestions? Besides praying Holy Spirit reveal that to her to convict her. Not looking for condemnation or judgment on my parenting skills or lack there of. but just looking for any helpful suggestions. We’ve only been saved for a few years. Thank you God bless!
Finishing this up and I enjoyed it. I don't agree with eliminating the lies of Santa etc, but not correcting celebrating Christs birth at the wrong time of year. Kind of like the argument that if you're getting rid of the tree then ditch your other house plants too. If we care about truth, won't we take it all the way? Let's be truthful and celebrate his birth more accurately? That's what I'm wrestling with currently. Also it seems like we want to capitalize on marketing to spread the gospel, but Jesus in the flesh was rejected. So, I'm not sure it's a good reason to keep going with it. The Lord will convict people whenever he wants to. Obviously I could be wrong and one day find out there were more convictions at Christmas than any other time of year, but it seems like an argument that isn't really backed up by scripture. Again, love your sharing and inviting this conversation. We obviously don't have to agree on everything, but I wanted to share some of my wrestlings. God bless you and your family.
28:30 the difference between Christmas and halloween is that. Christians are celebrating christ at christmas and partaking in christian teaching where as during halloween most people are partaking in strictly pagan rituals and are not celebrating the christian counter part of all souls day. All souls day was on a different day and was moved near halloween to christianize the samhain festival. The word halloween comes from "all hallows eve" yet we are still emgaging in the samhain festival and not teaching people about jesus or focusing on the lost souls and instead are strictly dressing up as evil characters and trick or treating none of which has anything to do with christ.
As for why most churches do not celebrate the Feast days, I do believe that many churches are mini Catholics in their traditions. Most of the holiday are born of Roman Catholic origin. If you study the meaning of the word Christmas or Christ Mass, it is very Catholic. I was saved out of RCC.
"Are we counting on Christmas to give us joy. Is it a placeholder for the dark months?" WOW!!! I finally have language on why Christmas has changed for me...I no longer made it an idol, so I was stuck with whether to celebrate or not.
First I wanted to say hello. I am new to your channel and I really like your content and what you’re doing .God bless you and your family 🙏.I just wanted to say it does take a lot of courage to come out and speak about this subject because it is a very big one and I can totally understand your confusion about celebrating it because I was also confused at one point. It’s really hard to let something go that you think is related to Christ your whole life, it’s beautiful it’s spiritual and it’s just overall a wonderful feeling but when you get deep into the Bible, and you find out the truth about it ,It is not to be celebrated. I am going to send you verse that’s in the Bible and there’s a few more mention in there, it never says anything about Christmas but it tells you what not to do so I hope that you find this helpful and you do your own research and and let the Holy Spirit guide you or even show you the truth. God bless you and once again thank you for your messages.🙏
Our family uses it as a time to give to people in the nursing home. We don't give each other gifts we also use it has time to come together and discuss the Goodness of the Lord throughout the year.
I love Christmas. I am in Australia and so it is very hot and humid around Christmas time. For me, I love putting up decorations, lights, a tree etc. but I also love that Christmas is in our 6 week school holidays, Summer is my favourite season too and my birthday is 2 weeks after Christmas. I love new years as well. All of this is in summer here, we have longer days, bbqs, we go swimming and people are more relaxed. I work heaps as I'm in hospitality. I celebrate the whole summer, I celebrate Christmas because of all these things but also I want to celebrate Jesus, I want to thank God. I want to share in my abundance to those around me, and bless those around me with gifts, food, activities and time shared with them. I wont celebrate elf on the shelf or Santa though I do have santa in my decorations. My most cherished decorations are my nativity scene (Jesus, Mary and Joseph and 1 lamb) I think we just need to check our hearts as we celebrate or dont celebrate Christmas. This video is wonderful. Thank you for taking the time to study up and speak about what you have learnt. And as a side note, my husband isnt christian, he hates all celebrations (enjoys them when he gets there) thinks they are all money centered by businesses, created by hallmark etc. Over the 7 years ive known him, his heart is becoming softer to christmas and funnily enough as I think about it, his heart has equally become softer to God. To me that is a wonderful thing. I will continue to celebrate it 😊
Keep praying for him!! God is good!! 1 Corinthians 7 13-16!!! You bring Holiness to the marriage and he might be saved because of your sacrifice and patience ❤️
@graceingalls8809 Thank you, I will definitely keep praying. My mum was in a similar situation with my dad and he is christian now. I know I was put into my husband's life for a reason.
Thank you, Angela for covering ALL the topics that you covered. Our thinking is a lot alike. Even about the "Holy Days." My sister, nephews and niece have been celebrating Passover for the past 3 years (just using the traditionalHebrew calendar), and I want to see if I can help organize something at my church to celebrate Pentecost. And My sister and her precious kids will be celebrating a lot of the Holy Days this year. We DO celebrate Christmas because it's not an idol to us, and just leave the "magic" out. And WOAH, ALL of those Hebrew roots groups are born in pride! It's crazy. Thank you for this stream because it was amazing. Keep on doing what you are doing, and let your light keep shining! ❤. I appreciate you, dear!
Love your channel. The ambiance is perfect. You present yourself so beautifully. I truly appreciate all you do, it’s not easy pulling off a successful show and you’re doing it. One thing. You start off so clear your words are soft and voice is calm. Then sometimes throughout you go from 10 mph to 100 mph and I can’t follow you easily. As a public speaker I used to do this too. You lose your audience. My professors told me how to stop it. Anyways, just thought I’d share. I love you at 10 mph. I get lost at 100 mph.
There is no question here. Yes, we should all celebrate Christmas, literally everyday, we should celebrate light and the birth of Jesus everyday, and be nice to each other every day! 😇🎂🎄✨🌟
One of my biggest problems with celebrating Christmas is it is bringing Yahushuwah down to the same low level as a pagan god . By saying and believing they have and share the same birthday? We don't know the exact day of His birthday yet they have the audacity to choose a pagan gods birthday and call it Yahushuwahs birthday too? It is just sickening! Our Savior is set-apart He is King of Kings and Sovereign over all! Our Messiah in no way shares a birthday with a pagan god!
Christ’s acknowledgment shines over any pagan god. It doesnt matter that it’s on the same day. If we were to pick any other day, somebody else’s birthday is gonna land on that day or some other pagan traditions gonna land on that day. The point is that christ shines on whatever day we pick.
@@coastaldivathat’s not true, and that’s dangerous. He said not to worship Him in the ways the pagans worship their gods. It’s not just any celebration or just any birthday. He is Holy and we should never mix the Holy with the profane. Did he accept the worship of the Golden calf? “Knowing” the hearts of His people? I ask this for you to ask yourself and go deeper into the word, not to respond back to me. We must be careful not to get lost in what we think is right or acceptable to the Holy God.
This obsession with days is rather interesting. My friends son was born on September 11, 2001. Does that mean his birthday is bad because of what day it is? He was literally born as the towers were coming down. Days themselves are neutral.
I wonder how Africanus came up with December 25, because in Luke chapter 2, we are told that an angel appeared to nearby shepherds, with good tidings of great joy. And we know that the shepherds would not have been out in the fields in the winter time. So right there we know Jesus was not born during the winter time. did Africanus not read the New Testament?
I could not accuse anyone who celebrates Christmas of not being a good Christian. We can share facts and allow the Lord to minister to people. This is how I learned. A friend shared with me years ago. We don’t do a tree, but that makes us no better. Of course we are grateful for His birth. I love Christmas hymns. Buying gifts for eachother is ok for us, just not the obsession of gifts. I remember years ago when I was first saved, a well known pastor shared that he and his wife did not have a tree. He never explained why, but all these years later, I understand why.
First and foremost, bless you for doing what you do. I'm a recent discoverer of your channel and have been enjoying it tremendously. My wife even likes your work. In this video, I specifically like that you are having an intellectual debate with yourself. (I do that to) I'm sorry you have naysayers out there that are quick to respond in hate or self-righteousness. I will not celebrate "Christmas" personally but will not attempt to steal the joy of those that do. For a newer "Christian", you certainly have many things sorted out beyond the typical faithful. At one point in this video you ask yourself: "Am I a good enough Christian?" My response would be: No. Simply because none of are. We all fall short of Our Heavenly Father's expectations and always will. It's the reason we were gifted a Savior. My heart celebrates the birth and resurrection of Yahusha or whom you call Jesus. The Old Testament holds the key to fully understanding the gift contained in the New Testament. Please read Jeremiah 31 in your spare time. Start paying attention at verse 31. Our Father's New Covenant was made with the two branches of Israel (Yehuda/Israel). We need to embrace that and graft ourselves into one of those two natural branches if we aren't a natural branch to begin with. The Seven Feasts are where we should concentrate. The Feast of Trumpets is maybe closest to the day of our actual Savior's birth. Ishtar/Easter is a pagan substitute for Passover. It centered around a drunken orgy ritual. December 25th was the day the unwanted pregnancies were sacrificed to Moloch/Baal/Saturn/Nimrod.
If we can celebrate our own birthdays (which I’ve never heard a fellow Christian say we shouldn’t do that) then why can’t we celebrate Jesus birthday? Regardless of the origins, this is something where intention matters. Unlike yoga/halloween/astrology/witchcraft. Intention when doing those things does not matter because the lord already told us how he feels about those things. I always enjoy your content Angela! 🫶🏻❤️
Hi Angela this the first video of yours that I can see good in and I would like to talk with you more on topics like this because I’m still a young Christian and would look to have someone like you in my contacts for topics that Christians should be talking about it
If it helps a woman once told me, how you hear God is when you are done praying, be quiet and listen to what He has to say. We all can hear the voice of God, the problem is there are three voices in our head. One is our flesh, the other is the enemy’s and lastly the other is God’s. We have to discern which one is His and most of the time, the answers you never want to hear is His voice. I hope this helps. Also use His word to back it up as well! I’m working on it myself.
To my knowledge, God speaks differently to each person because God speaks in the ways we personally will understand. For example, I recently heard from God via noticing that everything was getting delayed in my day....which allowed me to meet a lady who offered to buy the Bible I was on the way to purchase before rhose delays! In all of this I heard God say to TRUST in God, now that I have chosen baptism and rejected my old ways of always trying to be the one in power which only led me astray, before. So, I did not hear these words as words, I perceived the message.
if you want to celebrate Yeshuas birthday on Christmas its like the following: Your husband can't remember your birthday, but he still remembers the birthday of his ex girlfriend. So he celebrates your birthday on the birthday of his ex. Isn't it nice of him? Why would you be mad? And to be honest, I didn't see any angry comment here, but you are so mad, yelling and defending something that is not even in the Bible. But I'm sure if you're open to God's correction he will show u the truth.
I don't view Christmas as bad, in my experience, it represents love of family and friends, that's why we give gifts. God already gave us the best gift we could possibly have asked for.
Christmas for me if celebrating Jesus, I replaced my tree for a Christmas cross decorated like a tree with lights and tinsel 😁 Jesus so loves you for what you are doing. Forgive and bless those who's throwing stones at you, they don't understand yet. It only matters what God thinks of you, what the world says means nothing.
We only celebrate the coming of our Lord: His first coming, every time He comes when He answers our prayers, and His final coming. That's all that matters.
I hear you- but a few thoughts. Yoga can also just be seen as body movement and breathing which both come from God. So essentially we can also say it’s a corruption of things God created. As far as the trees situation I asked myself this question, “how does God feel about millions of trees being cut down worldwide only to be displayed in our homes for a month?” The plants we have in our homes we water and take care of.. Christmas trees feel very little about Christ. If we do see the evergreen tree as a comparison to Christ, why cut it down? Just a thought 🙏🏽 I also think calling people theologically lazy isn’t wise because you might be viewing it from one perspective but there can be many others you might not have seen yet. And I share this with love ♥️ also I feel that the idea of “if you get rid of this you better move out your house too,” is a bit legalistic. We shouldn’t be pursuing perfection, but sanctification. Another thing is if so many Christians are wresting with Christmas currently in the spirit do you think there’s a reason? I will also add- I think it’s apparent that the vast majority of the world has made Christmas about things that are not of Him. And I think that’s why so many Christians have the ick in our soul. Could the same fallen angels that created yoga have created sensationalized Christmas? A holiday said to be about Christ that actually exposes a lot of the sinful desires of our flesh? Also, if we look at the Roman Catholic Church today for many it’s obvious that if Christ came back today He would be very upset with the traditions and beliefs they’re promoting in their church.. would Christmas be one of these things? I don’t say this to be right- I just add some thoughts to the conversation because I’ve also been wrestling with this for months. Last thing I’ll add is that this is a terribly hard topic 🥺🥺🥺 Because most of our churches are celebrating Christmas.. so deciding to stop really makes us the outcast. So I pray that every single person feeling convicted to stop celebrating remembers that Christ was rejected. So if you’re being rejected for following this new conviction, allow yourself to find peace in the midst of it. But also don’t search to be right in the eyes of others. No one should be showing off their righteousness. Pray about all things and when God reveals certain things to you move forward with joy and humility, not pride.
If you fast something for a certain period of time. You can see more clearly if something is needed in your life. We, as the body of Christ, can celebrate the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ by remembering during the Holy communion daily.

a great book to read is called , “The truth about Waster, Christmas, and Halloween”.

You are very brave to tackle this topic. God bless you for your obedience. Thank you for this, sis!
what stands out to me is that in the book of judges, Gideon was told by God to tear down the altar of Baal and put up an altar for God in place. so pagan origins or not, it’s what the world knows about Jesus now and we should use this time to celebrate Him while leading others to know Him as well and allowing our light to shine in this time
Great point to contribute to this conversation!
wow! This is a great example. I love the discourse.
JESUS LUVS!!! LOVE THIS BE BLESSED!!!
Deuteronomy 12:29-32
When the Lord your God cuts off before you the nations whom you go in to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land, 30 take care that you be not ensnared to follow them, after they have been destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire about their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods?-that I also may do the same.’ 31 You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way, for every abominable thing that the Lord hates they have done for their gods, for they even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods.
Angela you ate and left no crumbs!! Another edifying episode. Truly blessed by this
I don’t do Christmas, as it is celebrated on the same day that pagans celebrate the re-birth of the Sun god.
This symbolizes their annual sexual union, and nine months later, the reincarnated Sun God Tammuz is born, on 12/25
Christ-mass is a creation of the Roman Bishops and Emperor Constantine in the 4th century, which combined their worship of Sol Invictus, their Sun god, with the Messiah of the Bible.
Besides that, Messiah was born in the fall, not in the winter.
I have to save this. It's a lot to remember - for me, anyway. Thank you for explaining the true (pagan) history behind Dec. 25th.
@@sunnydaze3131 Save away! I saved it last year, from a friend. Blessings.
Yes thank you! I always get flustered when trying to explain this truth summarily. Saved and sharing. May God's many blessings be upon you 🙏🏻
Well, aren't we to celebrate God, daily?

A lot of Christian’s do not study the old testament, I believe we learn and see the nature of who God is in the Old Testament. It’s so important 😥❤️
Job 33:14-17
In a dream, in a vision of the night, When deep sleep falleth upon men, In slumberings upon the bed; Then he openeth the ears of men, And sealeth their instruction, That he may withdraw man from his purpose, And hide pride from man.
I agree. People get very upset, from what I have observed when the subject is broached.
why do people have struggle with Christmas? Maybe it's the Holy Spirit telling them it's not alining with HIS word?
I've definitely been wrestling with this more and more each year
Hi Angela,
I want to start by saying that this year will be my first not putting up a Christmas tree.
May God bless you
@@heavenandhealingpodcast
That’s exactly what I prayed my comment would do, Angela.
You are such a precious gift to the body Angela!
@Tpane17
When I read your comment the 1st scriptures that came to mind were-
Exodus 32 .. the entire chapter but this was the one that came to mind instantly.
5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, 👉“Tomorrow there will be a festival to the Lord.” 👈
6 So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.
The Children of Israel also thought they could take unholy things & reclaim them.
This wasn't a comment meant to judge anyone. Just wanted to share what was put on my heart.

Really good point
Unfortunately, that is a lie, just like Santa Claus.
When I looked that up Nehemiah 9 says the 24th of the same month they worshipped and fasted. Where are you getting the 31st?
"If its not the 'holy spirit' its an unholy spirit"...... This 💯
I just heard you say this while listening to the video you made about the Wicked Movie 🎬
& this was actually a statement I applied to Christmas & the 'Xmas Spirit' / 'Holiday Spirit'.
So we have now been keeping
The Feast Days (Gods Feasts mentioned in his word) 🎉
Not only do God's Feast Days help us to better understand him & his Character.... Every. SINGLE. One of them point to Jesus Christ of Nazareth ' Yeshua Hamashiach 📯❤️🔥✨️🕊
If you or anyone else is interested in this topic for further study. Below are some scriptures for consideration 😊
PEACE & GRACE TO YOU ALL 🙏🏼
Deuteronomy 16:13-15
Leviticus 23
Exodus 23:14
1 Corinthians 5:8
Zechariah 14:16
When God's Kingdom is established on earth, all nations will keep his feasts.
Thank you. I have been looking for different celebrations to follow in for these days that have come to light as not true for Followers of the Way.❤💯💯
@@samanthahudson-kemp204 hallelujah and amen!
I needed this video so much right now! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on the Christmas!
I really enjoyed this episode a lot
I am so glad ❤
You're such a blessing and this video is not an exception. I bless you.
Nah. We're not wrestling. You are imposing and arguing.
Praise God :)
Btw~ How fitting YT decided to sponsor your vid with an AC/DC advert 🙄
Christ is King 👑🙏🏻
Covering you sis!! Always grateful for your vulnerability
35:51 THIS is the question I have had! Thank you for touching on this.
Thank you for touching on how it’s different to yoga. That was the thing that really stumped me
The last 5 years or so I have felt less and less drawn to the extras of Christmas…trees, lights, decor, and wanted to focus on the reason for the season only which is Jesus.
Praying that the Lord continues to reveal His righteousness, His truth and His ways that are higher than ours, according to His divine will, plans and purposes for our lives, through Yeshua (Jesus) our King ❤
I hope I can share a bit of what my family has been led to by the Holy Spirit, to help shed light on how God is moving in His children.
(1 Corinthians 10:20 AMPC)
As someone who sees in the spirit, I've seen the effects of people bringing christmas decorations and trees into a church building.
This year, we're celebrating our first Hannukah, (by choice, to honor God, but it's not a feast like the others.) Its true meaning is actually about removing pagan defilements and idols, and celebrating our true living God! (And interesting enough, this is the first year in a long time, that it lines up between Dec 25-Jan 1. What a transition.) 👑🔥🕊
We are having our first child this winter, and are glad God is teaching us about His feasts, so we can raise our family with the traditions that God asked us to celebrate.
(Romans 14)
We obey the Holy Spirit in how we're led, and feel led to share what we've learned to bless others. We pray that all God's children will continue to be led and sanctified by His Spirit, to come into the fullness of living in His kingdom on earth. To our Almighty Yehovah God be all the glory forever and ever! 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for all you do for Him, and for being obedient to the Holy Spirit. May God bless you, your family, and your ministry ❤
beautiful testimony. praise YH
Fair point!
Wow , excellent revelations ! Praise the Lord ! Thank you
The part about the weddings is actually in the Bible.
Thanks for sharing :)
That was a beautiful podcast. Totally made sense. God blessed you with a wonderful brain

@@GrandmaKnightLifeI’m sorry you went through so much too
Thank you! I’m sorry you went through so much too ❤️ it’s difficult for so many people over the holidays. And I think it’s often hard for people to understand others.
@@KristenHalfpenny Thank you 🩷 Yes, you are right
I forgot to mention the 2 videos that really helped us go deeper on this subject:
"Truth or Tradition" by Passion For Truth Ministries, &
"The Christmas Question" by 119 Ministries.
…
The solstice isn't even on the 25th plus Christmas lasts for 12 days
Wow, so interesting. Thank you for sharing.
No Christians do ot are worshipping trees plastic, pine or decorated
Jesus is not against joy how very puritan. As if celebrating Christmas is the worst sin. I have been thrown out of pious. Christian groups for celebrating the birth of Jesus!😮
ONE day btw.

Did she get the star because it made her think of God who made the stars? Or she just thought it was pretty? Or a friend had one?
I was hoping you'd drop a video like this!!!
Christmas is just an opportunity for loved ones to get together in this busy, crazy world and make some fond memories. People need to calm down.
thank you for that.
Amen, i totally agree with you sister! ✨️❤ I have the same belife in this❤️🔥
Thank you for covering this! I actually messaged you on Instagram last year about this exact topic.
Thanks!

I was saved out of RCC.
agreed
The catholic origin enough is reason to avoid it. God bess.
Aren’t Catholics also part of the body of Christ?
"Are we counting on Christmas to give us joy. Is it a placeholder for the dark months?" WOW!!! I finally have language on why Christmas has changed for me...I no longer made it an idol, so I was stuck with whether to celebrate or not.
Gods holy days are the only days we should celebrate.
Amen
The mental gymnastics on this one😂

Thank you. Praise the lord.
The Lord will tell you the areas you need to change if you are open to listening and obedience when he asks you to change.
My most cherished decorations are my nativity scene (Jesus, Mary and Joseph and 1 lamb)
I think we just need to check our hearts as we celebrate or dont celebrate Christmas.
You talk so much sense god bless you
There is no question here.
@@coastaldivawe are not to worship the Lord our God in those pagan ways.
@malindapeck1733 AMEN 🙏
"wasn't gonna touch with a 10' pole." Nice unintentional reference.
Please pray about Jonathan Cahn and his teaching. I do believe he is off.
Ive always felt Mr. Cahn was off.
The biggest thing I was convicted of is the celebration of Jesus (Christmas/easter) in a worldly way.
Hi Angela this the first video of yours that I can see good in and I would like to talk with you more on topics like this because I’m still a young Christian and would look to have someone like you in my contacts for topics that Christians should be talking about it
I agree with everything you are saying!
How did God tell you to speak on this? I genuinely want to know how others hear from God ❤
In all of this I heard God say to TRUST in God, now that I have chosen baptism and rejected my old ways of always trying to be the one in power
which only led me astray, before. So, I did not hear these words as words, I perceived the message.
In prayer :)
@ ❤️🙏
You begin to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit when you fall in love with His Word. ❤
if you want to celebrate Yeshuas birthday on Christmas its like the following: Your husband can't remember your birthday, but he still remembers the birthday of his ex girlfriend.
I think the world is perverting our celebration of Jesus using reverse psychology.
Christmas for me if celebrating Jesus, I replaced my tree for a Christmas cross decorated like a tree with lights and tinsel 😁
Jesus so loves you for what you are doing.
Forgive and bless those who's throwing stones at you, they don't understand yet.
It only matters what God thinks of you, what the world says means nothing.
We only celebrate the coming of our Lord: His first coming, every time He comes when He answers our prayers, and His final coming. That's all that matters.
That’s why holloween has “hollow” in it cause it’s devoid of life
Here's how I look at it. Jesus is all knowing and he knows your heart either way. If you're heart is centered on him, non issue for me.
But one has to ask, how does God look at it?
I hear you- but a few thoughts.
Yoga can also just be seen as body movement and breathing which both come from God. So essentially we can also say it’s a corruption of things God created.
As far as the trees situation I asked myself this question, “how does God feel about millions of trees being cut down worldwide only to be displayed in our homes for a month?”
The plants we have in our homes we water and take care of.. Christmas trees feel very little about Christ.
If we do see the evergreen tree as a comparison to Christ, why cut it down?
Just a thought 🙏🏽
I also think calling people theologically lazy isn’t wise because you might be viewing it from one perspective but there can be many others you might not have seen yet.
Last thing I’ll add is that this is a terribly hard topic 🥺🥺🥺
Because most of our churches are celebrating Christmas.. so deciding to stop really makes us the outcast.
