Some people have more symmetrical faces. As you get older, you can usually tell from the facial features which one person's dominant eye is. Also almost all people have their eyes at a different height, which most people don't even notice.

fun fact: the "true mirror" is the mirror that actually flips things. When you look into a mirror, you're turning yourself which is why it looks flipped. A true mirror flips your already flipped image (because you turned around) which makes it look how others would see you.

These are a good way to see what your side profile looks like too. Typically we depict ourselves as just our front or 3/4ths profile because thats the easiest way to see what you look like in the mirror but unless youre having a face to face interaction with someone at that moment, most people in public see you from the side and that can be a major indicator of how you look to others. For anyone who doesnt have 2 mirrors, if you have a smaller bathroom with medicine cabinet perpendicular to the bathroom mirror you can open the medicine cabinet to see this angle and the "true reflection".
Well some cameras like iPhones actually leave the camera app like a mirror to make it feel normal while taking it ( photos are flipped back to normal after taking ) so i could see how one could just not realize it.

In my old home we had the folding mirrors in the bathroom over the sink. I used to sit in the sink and fold the mirrors in a way that made them show multiple reflections at a time and I'd just sit there looking at myself. I thought this was normal and I loved the affect.

Growing up, my bathroom mirror doubled as three doors to the inside of the cabinet, so I played with them and did this all the time. Didn't realize this idea seemed so foreign to everyone.

When me and my friends are in front of a mall mirror, what I see on their reflection is how i see them when we're standing in front of each other. The mirror DOES NOT reverse us. It's because the paper is facing that way. That the mirror makes it reverse. If we look at it from behind IT IS ALSO IN FACT reversed because we did flip the paper. Try it with a thin paper and a marker and you'll get what Tufan means.

fun fact: the "true mirror" is the mirror that actually flips things. When you look into a mirror, you're turning yourself which is why it looks flipped. A true mirror flips your already flipped image (because you turned around) which makes it look how others would see you.

And this mirror doesn't actually flip your image. Flipping an image Means to turn an image from top to bottom. Turning an image side to side is called flopping.

tecnically the "true mirror" is the one that reverses things. a real mirror puts everything in the exact place it is when the true mirror puts them how people assume things should be but it actually reverses things lol
Moreover, they both flip the image relative to their plane (e.i. front to back), which in regular mirror tricks our brain into thinking it was flipped left to right. The true mirror flips the image twice (left to right AND front to back) which has the same effect as rotating 180°

These are a good way to see what your side profile looks like too. Typically we depict ourselves as just our front or 3/4ths profile because thats the easiest way to see what you look like in the mirror but unless youre having a face to face interaction with someone at that moment, most people in public see you from the side and that can be a major indicator of how you look to others.
For anyone who doesnt have 2 mirrors, if you have a smaller bathroom with medicine cabinet perpendicular to the bathroom mirror you can open the medicine cabinet to see this angle and the "true reflection".

Well some cameras like iPhones actually leave the camera app like a mirror to make it feel normal while taking it ( photos are flipped back to normal after taking ) so i could see how one could just not realize it.
