I agree, Christopher. Please, take a look to the other boots in my Channel. You will find other boots with the same ir better quality. Hope you like it
Not at all! Dio did covers of Sabbath when he was in Elf, He loved and respected Sabbath, Problem is that he was not going to imitate or try to sound like Ozzy, He never felt the need bc he was Ronnie James Dio...PERIOD!!
not true, in interviews Dio said he enjoyed singing War Pigs, Black Sabbath, Sweet Leaf, children of the grave and anything doomy or heavy, he wanted to make it more heavy and add more space. but he didn't like paranoid much. he also said he rather sing them like himself rather than copy ozzy, which is totally fair and I think a better approach because there is only one Ozzy and one Dio.
Dio was a much better singer and vocalist than ozzy. Thank God he never felt the need to imitate or sound like ozzy, that would have ended his career, Dio maintained his own identity and never wanted to be ozzy nor sound like him, He didn't need to, He Was Ronnie James Dio..PERIOD.
They were different kind of singers. Dio is in my opinion, the greatest heavy metal Singer ever. Technical, strong, Heavy, Sweet... Ozzy has his voice, and nobody can Sing like him. Great vocal lines, in a simple way, but great anyway. Love both of them. Maybe, that's why I am a Sabbath Fan. Ozzy, Dio, Gillan, Hughes, Martin, Gillen....and Iommi's riffs always there
It sounds to me like he's joking. I've heard lots of stories about fans not understanding the band they're seeing live might be different than who was on the record, so fans would go up to Ray Gillen like "Hey GLENN huge fan!" for example. Dio makes sure to say Vinny's name clearly, twice, so everybody hears it - then calls him "Bill" anyway. That's how I interpreted it.
They did the same with Iron Man. I'd say this is the sound of band trying to keep it together, that recently replaced a singer and a drummer, maybe still finding their sound while trying to offer something a bit different. It's of course gonna be different because half the band is new people. It's a bit rough maybe, but I don't know how long these dudes had to work on it. I just love the band and I'm happy to hear em play.
@@hookbolt7362 you are almost correct. The song was originally recorded a step and a half down from standard. While Dio was in the band Iommi used standard tuning for all songs. So songs like this one and children of the grave are a step and a half higher than originally recorded.
I've never understood the "No Sabbath without Ozzy" brigade. Ronnie James Dio not only filled those big boots, he made them his own!
@@raphaelmerriman4901 IMO, his best version of Ozzy songs is Children of the Grave.
Do care what anyone says, i love Sabbath more with Dio and Tony Martin than with Ozzy. It's just more my style of metal.
Dio kind of reminds me of chris cornell here
I got goosebumbs
Thanks for watching!
This show NEEDS an official release.

Listening on edibles. Love it
Wow - I never heard this before. Dio had his own style and didn't try to copy any other singers. He RULES this song!
O maior cantor do Universo. Maravilhoso!
An Instant Classic 🤘❤️
Thanks for watching
Great quality!
You can tell that Dio hated singing the Ozzy era stuff
But he was good at it🤘❤️

Well he definitely sung it better 😂
Great medley (all of 14).
Awesome!!!!
Thanks for posting!
Does anyoine knows if there's a live recording of Dio performing Symptom of universe?
There isn't, for sure.

👍✌️🤘🤘🤘
Why at the end of the song after over enunciating Vinny Appice name does Dio say "thanks Bill" I wonder who he is referring???
Maybe because It was the beginning of Vinny in Sabbath, and they were saying tks to Bill for the years with the Band. Maybe...
@@BootsBloodyBoots You probably like to kiss zigmongo A**
i believe bill recommened vinny coz he was unable to continue touring due to his drug problems etc

@@BlastMaster I think you're right, with RJD never knowing that 44 years later we'd hear this....
Would rather listen to it on Live at Last or Cal Jam 1.
Zigmonger, I think Dio is better singing his songs on Sabbath. Anyway, here It is to know these versions.
Take a look to the other boots from all eras of Sabbath, including Cal Jam 1
Thanks, Kevin!
Это вообще не тема Дио. Никто не споет песни Оззи лкчше его самого.
But It is a curious version, isnt It?
@@BootsBloodyBoots это плохая, ужасная версия.
@@darmoedvdomeThis version is much better that the version of Ozzy.
@@luamoliveira3467 прочисть уши, ребенок.
Ugly version. Very ugly. Drumming sucks. Vocals are sloppy as hell. Geezer saves it.
no bro it's a really nice version. They played this in half step down rather than the original tuning and it seems more aggressive and great overall!

@@RSBurgener yea vinny didnt have long to learn this catalogue rember him talking bout it and his first show was pretty choppy

Horrible. HORRIBLE !!!
This version is better than the original, Dio was much better vocalist.
They did this song at Live at Day on the Green Oakland Coliseum A's Baseball field 1980, ty!✟🇬🇧✞⸸⁶⁶⁶⛧🤘
