Many of us wishes our parents were still living. Appreciate your parents greatly, they are not replacable. Spend as much time as possible with them you will never regreat it.
You and Austin are so fortunate to have parents who are so knowledgeable about gardening, and have the skills to do all that is needed to help get your yard ready for planting. What a treasure they are! I love to see how you all work together so well! I am loving all you have done in your yard. It is looking great!

I loved doing my garden before I had some health issues. We always did family related things before my folks passed. I really miss those days. Enjoy these times and keep the memories alive. Love to see y'all working together. We all need more of that.

This is so awesome!!! The entire family helping. My dad place flooded out back in 06 and at that time everyone was alive and alive and we were there too help him.
You and your family have team work down to a science. Good job everyone! I'm very impressed with the way you react to worms too! I wouldn't scream like I would if it was a snake, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't "cuddle" them and tell them how cute they are. They would just have to go find a different place to live.

It's important to make the distinction between irises and day lilies. One is poisonous while the other is edible.

If you want the stumps to rot quickly……. This really works!!
Beat up the stump with hatchet or something really sharp. Then pour a pint to a quart of buttermilk on the stump ( on a dry day of course ) and let sit. It will take a few weeks but it WILL rot enough to cut over it. I hope this helps. You and Austin and little Miss Olive are wonderfully sweet!! Mom, Dad and Katie are so precious!! Just started our seedlings. Here in the North East, took a few years to know that planting at the first sign of spring was not good. Planting in the ground after mothers Day works. May you and all your family be well and blessed.

A lot was accomplished and extra help always makes it so much better when you’re wanting it done fast! Also the last clip of all the family waving…I laughed and said “The Clampetts!” because at the end of the show they always waved Bye!!! It’s so nice that when the guys are bent over they don’t have plumbers crack. Maybe it’s just the chunky fellows that have that. I don’t know, but i would be very proud of them for that😂😅!
I just set up 2 Greenstalk towers on my deck, one with the deep cups and the other, the Leaf, with the more shallow spaces. I won't be putting anything in them for a while as I have to see if my dogs will stay out of them. I've never planted in them before but hopefully they will be easier on my 73 year old body than working out in my garden. It sure would be nice to have a family work party at my place like you have there.

It looks so good! What a difference! My family use to help me like your do. I know growing up we had these old Pyracantha bushes with these huge thorns that us girls use to have to trim a lot. (Dad trimmed--we picked up lol) Their thorns were like 2 inches and it was hard gathering them as the thorns would go thru you gloves even. Well the first thing to go once my sister and I left home were those bushes--lol Dad had had enough of them!

Try terracing parts of land dropping off. Looks great and watering is easy.
