Great lesson! That is such useful advice about the one pull so the horse doesn’t start pulling more. Tricky riding a hot green horse, but you are really good. I find these vlogs so nice because we can all identify and use the info!! Thank you so much for sharing.
The more I see of Justine the more I love her. You did very, very well, Lucy. You are brave on Ember, who is still easily reverting to race-horse brain. And, he is looking superb too, btw, that later-in-the-day light just emits warmth from his shiny coat. He is coming along very nicely. Thank you for taking us along :)
How about walk trott the whole set? And after a fence make him stand. He's just rushing at everything. Also calming cookies?? After all he is a firey redhead 😆 Justine is so good, love her ❤️
My father has had a couple of ex racehorses. He has still got one of them. He has even done the re train of the racehorse event back in 2018 late in the year at Aintree race course and a couple of local shows
Ah Thoroughbreds 🤣 watching your videos with Ember has helped me realise I haven't been alone all these years in dealing with TB quirks. One of mine (not raced) is point and shoot, and my OTTB does the can can into every jump and always switches canter leads (so annoying!) . Seems like Embers a mixture of both! Both are epic xc though and do everything best at gallop 🤣 You're riding him really well and are doing a super job.
Glad Justine has her voice back, love what she has to say, great lesson. Good job Lucy, not easy with your fiery red-head, hope the penny drops for him soon, so that he begins to find jumping more relaxing!
Lucy, love your vlogs, which have had a huge influence on my life - Thank You! My steed is a Vespa from the house of Piaggo - Noble, faithful and stalwart, he has never let me down. When I weave through traffic I imagine that his side mirrors are ears and his headlights, his mane - “Gid Boooy Vespasian!”
I found this really instructive--you can see so clearly how Ember changes when you "take a pull" and bring him back to you! Love watching lessons like these.
I love how Justine is always reassuring the horses and telling them how good they are! Love watching your progress with Ember. He might take a while to get him where you want but I think he'll be so worth it! Xx
Great lessons for you with Justine girls she’s a marvelous teacher yep Lucy always sit quietly on a tb. Ember looks beautiful and happy and that is down to you, your a super rider so enjoy yourself. Your friend on the grey was great too and your all lovely kind girls it’s nice to see.tfs😎🏇😎
I am in awe of Justine's knowledge. I love watching her teach you, and everything she says makes sense. Ember was great, and you both are just gaining your confidence together ❤️ Ember is looking stunning at the moment, shinny coat, flickey out toes. He is truly adorable ❤️
Great lesson and insights. It sounds like Justine could do with a trainer / student headset walkie talkie type of thing (I am sure it has a proper name) as she is sounding like she’s done quite a few lessons in windy arenas this week. Or maybe it’s all the good hound outings…?
What a great trainer! You did a fantastic job. I used to ride an OTTB mare who got very excited and strong between fences. It was a blast though and taught me a lot. But that was a while ago, im just getting back into the saddle after a ling break. Id probably die if if I got back on something like that at this stage lmao.
Justine is so sweet and amazing and fun and she is so supportive and cheers for you both and amazing love it! 🧡🧡🐴💙🧡🌈❤️🐴🐴💚💛💕🌈🌈🧡💙💙🌈🌈💜💛💕💕💛💚❤️🐴🐴❤️💚💛💕💕💕💕💕💛💚💚❤️❤️🐴❤️💛💜🌈🧡💙💙🧡💚💛💛💕💛❤️🐴💚💛
Evidently Ed Sheeran can put 55 Poppets in his mouth at the same time....oh wait I think he did that with Maltesers. Ok call him up see if you can do a throw down with him!!

Reminds me of my ex racehorse so much!! Tricky ride, catty/clever/athletic but tense and has nappy moments 🤦♀️

She's super isn't she! Thanks so much for watching 🥰
Agreed, Justine is a brilliant coach and Ember is looking superb! You ride him so well Lucy, absolutely love him and his flicky toes!

Love this!
It's Ember's fault that I am on a diet. Being a fan of Ember has me wanting to be light enough to ride horses like him. Have lost 27kg so far.
Oh wow well done you that's amazing! Keep up the great work 🤩🤩
Well done you
I wish Justine lived near me 🙁, you are very lucky to have her, 👍😁xxx
She's fab isn't she!
I love thoroughbreds 🤣🤣

LOVE Justine! She's always rooting for the horse!
Woop woooooo Justine 👏
Flicky toes in canter too, I didn't think that was possible :). Love how he is in speed mode as default lol. Great video x
He's just so ✨extra✨ 😅😂

I forever think of the trees now 😂
I've just bought pony almost identical to Ember and I'm looking forward to when he gets to this stage!
I love how Justine is always reassuring the horses and telling them how good they are! Love watching your progress with Ember. He might take a while to get him where you want but I think he'll be so worth it! Xx

Such fun, can't wait for you to come again 🤩
Nice to see Ember back out
It's great to have him back out 🤩
Ember has put on so much muscle and you both look fabulous together!
You’re doing a great job with him! He’s loving it xx

YEE-HA!!
Speedy Ember haha
🚀😂
your brave to be jumping like that with an ex racehorse. he seems quiet enough for a tb but is still fresh and v strong at times. nicely ridden tho
Lovely! How tall is Ember?

Thanks Liz, ex racers are definitely exciting to ride 😂 And I'm sure you'd easily manage if you got back on board!
