Thank you for reminding us how hard your work is!! It’s not always just toys, treats, and fun.
He seems to calm down after he gets pets, that so cool :0
You’re daddy
Wild, but adorable at the same time. Beautiful capture. I'm always impressed with how you humanely handle all your rescues.
A reminder that sometimes, that job is more complicated than scratching the belly of Finnegan or wearing Dixie Do as a living hat.
Reminds me of my rescuing feral cats. Amazing how they are able to squirm and wriggle their way out of our grasp with lightning speed...shows how they can survive amongst other predators. Great job in handling him so well!
Crazy grey fox: Fine mom, but you are gonna WORK for it.
Freya was too stinkin adorable!
Mikayla not reacting to the biting was crucial. Dmika biting was purely out of defensiveness and had Mikayla retreated and reacted in fear, Dmika would have bitten harder and prevented her from being able to scruff him. When she calmly kept intruding in his space he was forced to accept it a bit because his main defense tactic didn't work.
Poor thing. I hate when animals are so freaking scared, I wish there were a way to get them to understand we're trying to help. 😢 I appreciate how careful and thoughtful y'all were with getting him accustomed to the live trap...
That vet seems wonderful, so calm!
Yeah, but in a way sometimes it's better to meet them where they're at, as it where. His life was rough before he came here as I understand it, and he never really adapted to people.
Let´s support great (and kind) rescue maneuvres like this one! Watch with full ads, those are microdonations every time!
You made me join your channel! That was beautiful without any bloodshed. The energy, humor and love you put into everything shows in your beautiful, intelligent little girl.
Love,
David
I'd act that way too if someone was trying to take me to Florida.
🤣😂🤣😅
Poor Damika! He just doesn't realize that you're not trying to hurt him. I love how you stay so patient with him!
Dimika is so beautiful! 🥰❤❤ Will miss seeing him but all of you did an amazing job catching him. LOVE every one of your foxes! Thank you and Ethan for everything you do for them!. 💞💕
Happy family 🦊🐈
Poor Dmika; he had a hard set of circumstances and never acclimated to people the way Nikita did. I hope he'll be happier in Florida, though I worry he'll miss Nikita; sad to separate the pair, as he's already had to deal with that, after his original owner had to part with him. Greys get very attached to their people and often don't bond with anyone else, which is what we saw here. I very much want things to better for him in his new home, as he's a lovely, and dear little fox, who's just had things rough. I almost think it's better for him, because on the few occasions I hear him mentioned on this channel, there is often a disparaging overtone, because he's not socialized like the other foxes.
is niketa still there???
i love they let him be the way he is. did not push to get him to accept them. i love that
@@kathleemcallister Yes, she was featured in a recent video: th-cam.com/video/FMJ9JDbOrC4/w-d-xo.html She's my favorite of all the foxes there.
Dimika does hold grudges. He's so hard to catch because he REALLY did not like last time he was caught. I do hope he like Callie and Florida.
@@michaelmclaughlin8876 Yeah, he never trusted her again after he was caught to be fixed, but it doesn't mean he's not a sweet creature at heart. I also hope Callie will be a good companion for him.
Aww poor little guy was so scared 🥺 But what a great job you all did!! I’m glad everyone, including Dimika, was safe throughout this process. I hope he settles in nicely at his new home!
this is one of the reasons i love you guys. this grey fox has been there a couple of years at least. even with all the love etc.. you gave hiim, he still appears to not like and or trust humans.
i love how you let him (and jade and felix) be the way they are. you dont push your love on them etc..
ty for all you do
What a great achievement!
The sad truth about rescuing, well anything, is that you'll need to do things that might betray their trust. Poor thing, going from a huge fox yard to being trapped, likely again, in a cage. But it'll all be worth it once he meets his new friend. Thanks for doing what you do for animals.
As if it wasn't enough he _looks_ like a squirrel, once he was trapped he _acted_ like one with how he bolted straight up the side!
I've really enjoyed watching your sanctuary grow on this channel. Thank you for sharing all that you do. Even if the little floofs don't agree with it. It shows how much you love these animals. Seriously, thanks for the content.
And I thought trying to catch feral kittens was tough! You guys are amazing with how you handle wild foxes, and I love seeing the process behind a safe capture.
Very very nicely done catching him!!! I'm so impressed with how intelligent foxes, especially grey foxes are. Such remarkable creatures.
I like that you're showing that you're still learning and not an expert on everything. You show so much humility to every living creature and its admirable.
You folks have amazing stamina and persistence to carry out this task. I'm glad that Dmika is going to an environment better suited for him.
Wow, I’m so impressed by the amount of time and work you all do to take care of your foxes!
This video definitely shows the meaning of patience. Great job catching him. I think Freya did say she was worried. She is definitely super smart! Poor Demyka wasn’t having any of it. Hopefully he’ll forgive everyone and love being in FL with Callie. Sadly, I’m sure he’ll miss Nikita. Cheers from FL😺
And _that's_ how you catch a wily gray fox, after 6+ weeks of trying! 😮 Bravo, Ethan and Mikayla! 🙌🙌🦊
and team!!
Are you the person that flooded your Lego city?
The way you love these foxes is beautiful❤
Wow! They handled that situation really well! Especially, Mikayla. She was amazing!
Thank you so much for all you do!! Wonderful work, amazing updates!! ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🦊🦊
You all deserve so much credit for all that you do to help these animals. We would miss so much if you did not go the extra mile to show us your love for what you do. ❤
Me that whole time: "Goodness! Keep its demons inside of it."
I want to thank all of you for the great work you all do. It must be so wonderful and gratifying to be working with these beautiful animals.
Mikayla's many years of experience has given her mad skills to go with her calm patience.
You guys are the best
Wow, Mikayla, this was amazing. I can only imagine how strong and wiggly the grey fox was. I am only familiar with caring for "crazy" strong cats, and a fox is next level :-)
For those who are worried the catch pole is very save an covered in thick silicone so ir does not harm or choke then
He has no idea how lucky he is to have met the fox lady that totally devoted herself to their people. No idea. There's no better hooman.
Mikayla, you never cease to amaze me - going out to catch a scared, spooked, grey fox in a little sleeveless dress!
You are one awesome lady!
Spider-Fox, Spider-Fox does whatever a Spider-Fox does
I can't imagine Finnegan ever behaving like that.🦊
He wouldn't, but they are two very different foxes. Grey foxes are always a little more feral than other species of fox, no matter how much you work with them. Finnegan and Mikayla have a special bond built over years of dedicated work. Dmika was accidently let out into the larger fox yard before he was fully trained to return when they needed. They hadn't had time to do that training and lost the chance since they couldn't catch him until now. His relocation in FL will be a new chance for him to become more socialized in a more controlled environment.
You are a superstar! You have built an all start fox saving team. You are the best part of humanity. Bless you for all you do for the precious little beings.
He never forgave you for taking his jewels.
Ethan is the MacGyver of SaveAFox!
Dimika: I am not a good boy, and I do not consent. 🤣
I remember when I was told from this channel Grey foxes can "climb trees vertically". I never knew they were such good climbers
That fox was having none of it, lol. So bitey.
He sounds so cute even though he is being so threatening
Amazing video i am sure he be happy with Callie.🦊🦊🥰🥰💋💋💞💞
He's a cutie though!
You're all so amazing, keep up the great work!
geez... Dimika, really can't forgive Mikayla for having him fixed
Poor Dimika he got trapped, I hope he has a great trip to Florida.
Hard to watch amid Dimika's *_'protest'_* _But_ hope relocation is a total *_'success'_* 🤞🙏🏼
He's doing the "Am vicious!" growls.
Safe Travels Wild Boy💙That was just pure terror on his end. I hope he likes his new digs @ SAF South.
Wow, that sound crescendo at 8:00, along with that tool really added to the suspense. 😬
Nice work! I was stressed out just watching. Wow! Had no idea grey foxes were such superb climbers. Can domestic cats even climb that well? Amazingly patient planning! Very well done, indeed.💕
In a previous episode she explained that Grey foxes are the only ones that scale trees vertically. Felix is an odd case 😂
"It's okay, I'm not here to hurt you..." "Yeah, last time you said that, they cut my balls off." Poor little guy, he was scared....
You are SO impressive in your abilities! Amazing animal handling! ❤
Impressive. Your experience and compassion really shine.
and freya is soooo cuuuute! "weee!"
Oh the size of that grudge will be enormous
That was amazing. I have worse times giving my cats flea treatments. Great job! And you didn't lose any fingers.
First time I have ever seen an angry floof.
i wasn't expecting Damika to be this bity, scared and growly, sure, but not bity!
I hope he will feel better once he join Cally and get some good one on one time with his new caretaker.
Holy Mary you got guts!
Well that was tense. That's something you don't learn from text books.
Aw man I never knew how not tame he was. Poor Dmika. You'd think he would be used to you guys by just seeing you in the yard so often by now.
Wow! You are such an awesome, amazing woman. Any fox would be lucky to have you on their team.
I'm going to miss seeing Dmika, but I think he will get along well with Callie.
Interesting that his first instinct on capture was to parkour up the cage.
Grey Foxes are extremely good climbers and it's one of their main defensive abilities, just run straight up a tree away from the threat.
Reminds me of the time I had to catch a feral kitten. They are really fast and I got bit haha
Looks like the 2 that come by my place nightly for snacks 😂❤
Oooo he’s a spicy little cutie! 🌶️
Oh it was this vet! I like him. He really loves animals and does his very best.
😮Holy heck that was intense. Poor little guy is scareded. You guys are such a blessing. 💙🙏
That kid is growing up in the coolest house ever.
So cute ❤❤❤ florida
"bite these oven gloves".
Good job on handling him! You sure have a way with wild animals.
Mikayla is so capable. Ethan you are too but Mikayla is the OG!!
It’s interesting seeing him since I’ve seen Nikita in videos a lot :)
Love your patient work
He is a super smart 🦊
Whew...demonstrates the truely wild fox diifference from your rescued, more handled ones.
How stressful for everyone. I hope it works out for Dmika, hate to think if he doesn't settle down in Florida. ❤😊
so cute!
Your grey boi has one heck of an alien abduction story to tell his new friends!!! And there's video proof!
Very hard work, but in the end everything goes well :-)
Holy guacamole, he attacked ya. (Though its probably due to him being scared in a cage) poor guy. At least he's gonna have friends in FL now :)
Hopefully he is happier in Florida.
Mikayla is a boss. So impressed.
wow, i didn’t even know they could climb like that.
Oh yes, the Grey Fox species are extremely capable climbers. Even at a young age they can easily climb straight up a vertical tree just like a cat.
persistence pays off. he's a wiley one though - made ya work for it :)
wow! had no idea they could be so vicious and snap like that.. I guess it makes sense but never saw that before. such a contrast to the other ones. interesting animal. good work!
Yep, some of them simply *never* tame to any extent, and it can make it a challenge to worth with them.
You can see how friendly Nikita and Callie are compared to this
Foxies fluff offs at it's best! 😂😂😂😂
keep up the great work thank you 😊
Beautiful 👍
