Excellent collection! As a bonafide funkateer, and, one of them cloned fools, I also own the majority of these albums as well! It's great to see people that you would never expect to be P- FUNK fans, yet, are seriously dedicated to its art! It's not too surprising because the P-FUNK MOB are musical geniuses. As a soul Brutha that grew up in the 1970s, this music was always a part of our culture. However, I'll never forget these white dudes that were hippies back in the late 1980s that turned me on to some pretty heavy P-FUNK. It was beautiful man. It's not a coincidence that the success of the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS came from cats like George Clinton, BOOTSY, and Eddie Hazel. It's all about being ONE NATION UNDER A GROOVE!

I found their album cover art irresistible, and they had the jams to back it up. It soon became clear that Funk was more than a musical style. I still remember clear as a bell, it was late 1975, December I think. I was hanging out with my friend Tommy Rogers. When I got there, he was all excited because he has just been to the record store. He pulls this album out and puts it on the turntable. There was a freaky looking black guy with knee-high silver boots sitting on the side of a spaceship on the album cover. He drops the needle on the record, and I hear “Good evening, do not attempt to adjust your radio, there is nothing wrong. We have taken control as to bring you this special show. We will return it to as soon as you are groovin” I was instantly, permanently, and hopelessly hooked from that moment. My friend explained to me about parliament and funkadelic, and George Clinton. Soon I found Funkadelics Let’s take it to the stage album. I began a quest to devour every single plunk record I could find. It was like nothing I had ever heard. I was 15 years old then. I’ve seen them countless times, beginning with the mothership tour. Unfortunately, the touring outfit nowadays is nothing like it used to be but I love them just as much now as I did a 1975 and I’m an old guy. Lol

Juke box Cowboy you have a fantastic collection, i got ALL of Pfunk and side groups albums i got about 6000 vinyl records and i am a Pfunk Junkie. As i kid i could not wait for the next Pfunk release, i also found the vinyl on eddie hazel (dames),funkadeleic connections and dis conections both Mutiny albums and many 12" promo singles and my gem is a Test Pressing of Motor Booty Affair . The george clinton family series. etc . U got me on the fuzzy haskins i cant find the 1st album on vinyl cheers Mate.

🤠 Most of the concerts I attended throughout my life have been through the hardcore punk scene, electronic scene, and the art scene. I assure you some of them were just as revolutionary and ass kicking as the previous generations. But, yeah, absolutely, I would have loved to have seen P-FUNK during the Casablanca era! It was a 10 out of 10 seeing them in the 90s, but like you said, looking at those album cover photos and live videos, 25 out of 10 indeed!

While the concerts of today are 9/10 out of 10 the 70's concerts were a 25 out of 10. I feel sorry for what you youngsters missed.
🤠 Most of the concerts I attended throughout my life have been through the hardcore punk scene, electronic scene, and the art scene. I assure you some of them were just as revolutionary and ass kicking as the previous generations. But, yeah, absolutely, I would have loved to have seen P-FUNK during the Casablanca era! It was a 10 out of 10 seeing them in the 90s, but like you said, looking at those album cover photos and live videos, 25 out of 10 indeed!
Mothership Connection came out before the Clones of Dr. Funkenstein.
