In this #vanlife video we're going to take you with us on a trip along one of the most amazing roads in America, The Silver Thread Scenic Byway. We'll start in Creede and travel to #Gunnison, Colorado. And along the way, we'll show you some of the amazing vistas and places we boondocked, hike some awesome trails, explore the city of Gunnison, and meet a few highly-creative people who make the town so interesting.

When I was a student there, we called the irrigation ditches Freshman Ditches. Each fall a new student would always seem to fall into one after a few too many pops!!

yea! Colorado...had the good fortune to 'tour' through the area you visited there not too long ago. very glad to have made the effort to get out there. hopefully be back ASAP.

'Gunny' valley has sweeping vistas. Third coldest town in USA. You shiver at night in the summer. Still has that old Colorado mountain town feel. Gunnison RTA bus rides are free up to Crested Butte, 26 miles away.

Hi, my wife and I just recently came across your channel. It is excellent. You should have 100x the subscribers. The info, the back & forth between the two of you for commentary, the video quality and the music, all fantastic. We are about 2 hours north of Port Townsend in BC. Plus, organic free range water for Charlie ( I hope I remembered his name correctly) good one, I never heard of that type of water before, LOL. Safe travels!

Wow, thank you ! I have always just used drug store skin products like cleanser, witch hazel toner, vitamin c serum and a lot of moisturizer. I think my best friend is sunscreen.

I want a van like yours. My husband and I are about the same age as you all. WE have an off road teardrop trailer but the bathroom situation is a problem for me at least. There is no bathroom on board. How do you like your Cubby?
We understand. We traveled in our T@B teardrop for 13 years with no toilet. We now use the HomeDepot Bucket toilet with a seat and disposable bags and love it. Why didn’t we do that before? We love our Cubby Van! It wouldn’t work for everyone but it’s almost perfect for us. Watch our van tour video on our channel if you haven’t already
I've heard that 149 between Creede and Gunnison can be pretty treacherous. What was your experience?
I remember it being pretty steep going up to the ski lifts but not treacherous. It’s not anything like going to Silverton from either direction.
