Darkness insta kills on mobile as of now, i actually thought this was normal and been going through this level fearing insta death from the darkness, no im not cursed and not low health, I actually thought this was an intentional game design until i started watching dead cell content again from other youtubers. I began taking this path normally after watching a Giant path guide video, turns out i needed to “fight the giant first in any BC for that to happen, so basically i was taking the wrong route and not able to to fight the giant. Ive been finishing this Biome not knowing that the game is fucking with me, 4BC is already tough and im just trying to get 5BC, but that GIANT is hard to track down without Guide, now taking the graveyard and currently on my 60+ Run now. This is also going to be my first graveyard going in blind, hopefully it goes well and hopefully i find the Door to the Giants Haven.
I died because I dont have the spider rune and the only way left to go was up. I searched everywhere and eventually died to the darkness. Is this supposed to happen??
this level is the reason i quit this dumb game. I play a certain way, very slow and attack each room carefully. This level makes it so you have to speed through to the next light source and basically have to speed through the enemies. I can never beat it. Any mechanic that instantly kills you is not fun. this level ruined the game for me.
I completely agree with you, I hate this level too. I found it doable though after some tries; when you leave the safety of a portal area into the unexplored, you have to keep running and killing every mob you run into so long as there are temporary lights to activate and you hit the next set of permanent lights (think of these as checkpoints). Then you can take a breather, regroup, look at your progress in the map, and then repeat until the whole map is done. When you've killed everything and all the temporary lights are spent, you can run between sets of permanent lights to collect any items you couldn't take the time to pick up and evaluate as you were clearing the area. The darkness timer *always* gives you enough time to run between permanent sets of lights without the use of temporary lights. 😊 Unfortunately, this video doesn't do a good job of explaining this. 😐
Guys, wtf do I do? I somehow entered this stage, and I didn't have any teleportation runes. My total runs are just 5, and because of that I don't know shit. I'm unlucky asf. Do I need to restart my save file or are there any other ways? I've kept searching on Google but the answers I get there are completely different. I'm completely stuck, I searched every corner and couldn't find anything. Hope anyone gives advice though.

This area killed my best gear setup once due to darkness..

@@bosshawg7991 I managed to clear it once so far and I have died 3 times as I had terrible equipment and was chased until I got stuck and was killed.
It killed my best gear too
and i died twice like zero x
easily the most stressful biome in the game
Can't deny, especially when light sources are far apart and there's a lot of enemies in the path

You probably need the Spider Rune to climb walls you get it form the Slumbering Sanctuary.

you can't do that anymore cuz they patched that out and to get better equipment you need to upgrade the forge after the first or second boss fight

Great! this level can be hard because of the death fog so it's really handy if you know what is coming.
