My fav location for PvE is in the edge of the Jungle, where there is a small lake/pond surrounded by small hills and mountains and with a big crevice that leads to a temple. The location is perfect for a Yamatai or khitan base with smaller towers in the top of the hills, and the crevice that leads to it can be a good entrance to present the front of your base to other players.
my fav SP location is betwen jungle and desert, an area that look like inverted L. surounded by water on 3 sides, if u wall it up completly, is large and the purge can only come from south area. its far from most nodes wich is a downside, butr close to horses, water, animals, jungle it self.
Personally, I'm one of those people that loves desert, alongside fertile newbie river and jungle. Being born and raised (and most of my life spent) in central Europe, and also being "solar-fueled", I prefer more exotic locations (exotic from my perspective, of course), though I sometimes settle in Highland and occasionally even in Tundra, but those cases are more of exception than a rule. I was also glad when IoS recieved Floodlands and Isle of Dawn, hoping it will awake some nostalgia from Exiled Lands. Also, I feel that exotic enviroment fits for Conan's adventures a bit more, Howard's work strikes me more like "ancient-times styled" fantasy, as oposed to, for example, Tolkien's "medieval styled" fantasy. Thank you for the video, I hope Jungle and River will follow soon. Also, I have one more cons of n3 - it's within range of Spider Purge - yep, an arachnophobe here xD
Glad you enjoyed the video! I do intend to work on the Jungle one next, and I wasn't aware of the spider purge at Number 3 😂 I'll have to check that next time haha
Glad you enjoyed it! The last location is pretty nice, especially for single player or unofficial. I've built there once or twice before but even I regularly forget it exists
Another great option that I use a lot, is the plateu next to Thugra's stand. It's big, very flat, and you can set elevators facing the Summoning place, which also grants quick access to Thugra's stand and a Desert Dogs camp, and a second elevator facing Mekemosses spire, granting straight access to the savanna. Worth of note is that this location is central to camps that spawn all T4 types of artisans. And Thugra also makes for a nice candidate for Zombification.
Agree, it was my favorite during early play-throughs when I was new to the game. We later moved to Eradication's second location to build a fortress there. The purge isn't that great, though. Rocknoses, Crocodiles, Hyenas, etc. during purges are prevalent.
My favorite spot is the plateau in front of the Yog teacher. Unfortunately, although you gave the map coordinates, the squares are very large. It would have been nice if you had taken a quick screenshot of the map so that we don't have to search the entire square.
I made my last base in this location 2. It has a lot of resources around and it's easy to level up the character, but the purges start inside the base. So you have to be careful if the base is big.
Yo that's crazy I built my first base on G4or5 near the 2nd location on F5 and it was pretty good but i need something better. Good to know I was on the right track in a way
I've been trying to build at number 3 for a while now, but haven't really figured out a layout I'm totally happy with, the very uneven ground near the base of the rock mountains around it makes it tough to build around the edges I find. Is there a video guide for the building you showed at number 2?
Yeah working with the terrain around Location 3 can be a touch troublesome. Without some really fine planning and macro-adjustments, building higher than you think you need should hopefully help out with that. There isn't a guide for number two but I can make one, I'll add it to the list along with the builds people wanted to see from the Highlands video :)

Thanks for the good ideas! I had never considered the last location and will have to try it for my next start

That is a pretty good spot. Considering how plateau-heavy the central desert is, there are a lot of nice areas there for functionality

great find for some chill spots.
opening map is of course very hard ....

Was wondering if you had a build video for that second location base?
I don't currently, but I am working on a build guide for it
Looks really good I like the round front and how the upper balcony looks. Really nice job
@@Eradicati0nn Is the base at the second location the Sandstone Starter base with no mods?

The second one is my favorite, I got 16,000 ironstone in one trip around the cliffs
I always liked the area by the white tiger in the mountain face in the Savanna as a starter as it’s close to a lot of stuff and close to the north
Teleporter stones?
Wtf is the map locations for new players?😢
