Roberto Garza O. Apart from twilight, and if you really drop your prejudices against him, Pattinson is actually a very talented and smart guy. Brilliant actor. Watch his interview with Howard Stern for example. He offers a lot of great insights and is extremely well-spoken. I'm not a hardcore fan of his or anything but he does have my respect and I'm really interested in seeing what he does with Batman / Bruce Wayne. Who knows, he might outshine Christian Bale in the end. Life is full of surprises.

As a fan of the comic books I liked Christian Bale the best. To me he fit in my mind more so as batman than bruce wayne. I liked Michael Keaton a lot too. I didn't care for Ben Affleck. I don't like anything about that guy as an actor but I do think he's a good director.

I love Christian Bale. A lot of people think he's a prick, but he makes lifelong friends with everyone he works with, and he's always very respectful of his co-stars. That can't be for nothing. Great actor too, one of my personal inspirations.

He demonstrates this with ordinary people& other celebs who only talk great about him. He literally had one on-set outburst, and all he did was he yelled, and that's normal - acting is working with emotions 24/7 which is mentally exhausting. So it's normal, he just had a bad day, and we all have them. Plus he apologized right away. People who still make big deal out of it (actually never hear/see anyone who still does) are ridiculous.

Batman Begins (2005) and Superman Returns (2006) almost and should’ve led up to Batman v Superman. Bale and Routh were the perfect age to build a film franchise off for the next two decades.
@Rumi - Cavill’s Superman wouldn’t fit with Bale’s Batman. Routh’s Superman would, especially since Batman Begins and Superman Returns were one year apart. Plus, there were plans for a Batman v Superman movie with Bale and Routh.
Really great to see how Christian Bale suggested Pattinson make Batman his own rather than following a set path. Speaks a lot about his stature as an Actor.

A different /older batman who is darker and more willing to cross the line if he has to. His script for the batman might have had Deathstroke orchestrate a breakout of Arkham Asylum and have batman deal with that. I would have loved to see it. I would also love to see the Jared Leto joker continue we didn't see enough of him to really judge his portrayal. They could've even done the 3 joker story line. I'm disappointed with them leaving but I am excited for Pattison as well.

Guys, let's talk honesty. Robert Pattinson is a great actor but he looks nothing like Bruce Wayne and he is really skinny for a role like this. If he had been cast to play John Constantine I would agree that he is a great option, but as Bruce/Batman I still have doubts. The fact that he has acting skills doesn't mean he is appropriate for every role. For example Di Caprio is a great actor but it would be terrible idea to cast him as Superman. I hope to prove that I am wrong and give us a great Batman portrayal.

Roberto Garza O. Apart from twilight, and if you really drop your prejudices against him, Pattinson is actually a very talented and smart guy. Brilliant actor. Watch his interview with Howard Stern for example. He offers a lot of great insights and is extremely well-spoken. I'm not a hardcore fan of his or anything but he does have my respect and I'm really interested in seeing what he does with Batman / Bruce Wayne. Who knows, he might outshine Christian Bale in the end. Life is full of surprises.

I love Christian Bale. A lot of people think he's a prick, but he makes lifelong friends with everyone he works with, and he's always very respectful of his co-stars. That can't be for nothing. Great actor too, one of my personal inspirations.

He demonstrates this with ordinary people& other celebs who only talk great about him. He literally had one on-set outburst, and all he did was he yelled, and that's normal - acting is working with emotions 24/7 which is mentally exhausting. So it's normal, he just had a bad day, and we all have them. Plus he apologized right away. People who still make big deal out of it (actually never hear/see anyone who still does) are ridiculous.

I really liked his batman but of course outside events/tragedy prevented him from continuing the role as well as fans.
A different /older batman who is darker and more willing to cross the line if he has to. His script for the batman might have had Deathstroke orchestrate a breakout of Arkham Asylum and have batman deal with that. I would have loved to see it. I would also love to see the Jared Leto joker continue we didn't see enough of him to really judge his portrayal. They could've even done the 3 joker story line. I'm disappointed with them leaving but I am excited for Pattison as well.

Pattinson have redeemed himself for this role in Twilight countless times now. And for anyone doubting his ability to capture the true essence of Batman, I strongly suggest you watch The Lighthouse. It is a very peculiar movie and absolutely not for everyone, yet I believe everyone can appreciate it.

Even though Bale wasn't the first to play Batman on the big screen but damn it he played the character 3 times more than Keaton and Affleck who only played twice. That makes him very iconic for Batman! The rest just one time.

Christian Bale is such a high-class act. He showed Robert love from the bottom of his heart-nothing but respect for this man.

10 reasons why Robert Pattinson will be a good Batman:
1. He’s an incredibly talented actor. Remember Me, Water for Elephants, The Rover, Good Time, High Life, The Lighthouse, etc. proves that.
2. He’s already pulled off a cocky and charismatic billionaire in Cosmosis. If anyone has what it takes to play a young Bruce Wayne, it’s him.
3. He looks like he’s bulked up for the role. Nearly every superhero actor works out hard enough to get the superhero physique.
4. He has the right height and chin for the part. Love him or hate him, he’s pretty much tailor made for the dark and gritty Batsuit.
5. He’s being trained for The Batman from the same guy who trained Keanu Reeves for John Wick. Imagine how intense the fights will be.
6. He’s done plenty of research for Batman. The amount of comics he’s read shows how much this character means to him.
7. He has support from Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan. Nobody should argue with the men who gave us the most popular Batman.
8. He’s not the only controversial comic book casting. Nobody wanted Heath Ledger as The Joker but he proved them wrong.
9. He’s going to be the lead in the upcoming and highly anticipated Tenet. So far, two Dark Knight directors want to work with him.
10. He’s going to be directed by one of the best filmmakers today. Matt Reeves will direct a phenomenal Batman movie.

Guys, let's talk honesty. Robert Pattinson is a great actor but he looks nothing like Bruce Wayne and he is really skinny for a role like this. If he had been cast to play John Constantine I would agree that he is a great option, but as Bruce/Batman I still have doubts. The fact that he has acting skills doesn't mean he is appropriate for every role. For example Di Caprio is a great actor but it would be terrible idea to cast him as Superman. I hope to prove that I am wrong and give us a great Batman portrayal.
Point 3 is not entirely correct, i've heard somewhere that he is having a hard time putting on weigth.. but the rest spot on
