Like the history lesson, carving virtuosso and humour. I shall do a version of Freya, on a log, gift of Thor blowing down a tree. Very excited the Vikings are returning, Thank You for sharing your wonderful energy!

I like both pieces, nothing was wrong with the big one, vikings aren't symmetrical, mainly after a raid ;) Good Job.

I’m a potter and all my clay has gone stiff during the lockdowns so I’m going to see if I can carve it like soft wood!?

Yes! My group of students & I carved rune stones from solid blocks. We were lazy so didn’t hollow them out: only one exploded in the kiln. Oops! Lol

Thanks for the video! I have to make a replica of Odin but...with round eyes and without a model besides an image...I just can't do it precisely because of his eyes which are a round circle around, 1 empty eye, the another solid but an additional ring around... An image, so I have to extrapoer it... On an additional log... 😰😰Some stuff would be welcome!

Ok, the beginning of the Viking age was not dictated by the first attack on English soil. It was just the first time they arrived on English soil. The end of the age was also not dictated by the death of Harald fine hair. The Viking age lasted well after Harald's death. Your history is waaaaaay off. Read the Icelandic Sagas first.
