Gary you are a lovely husband to Claire to make her some shortbread my husband was useless in the kitchen. One little tip always use block plant butter not spreadable as it contains vegetable oil to make it spread. you could also add rice flour to make it crunchy. It looks really nice I hope Claire likes it.
