Spooky old Thackrays.... Watched the damn film last night..... Loved it until they messed about with the truth at the end..... I guess the fact that she went to henry when she knew her collar was felt and Talked him out of it.... They were coming for her mate bit she was brave enough to pull it off!!! What a woman.! Instead the movie made her a victim and thrown prison!!! Never happened mate.... She was too bright for that. And when she killed him. I laughed!!!! Every tudors geek's dark fantasy..... Ooooooooooooo wouldn't you wish it was true.... Good film though Gary, "enjoyed it" enjoyed your review 😊👍

Gary makes me laugh, He just takes the mick out of your theories. A question for Gary, What are your thoughts on Claires gifts? Do you believe in it or do you just laugh it off? After all when she tells us of her reactions to places, most people would think she was nuts. I like to hear her stories, but I also know some others might question her reactions. In Margaret George's book on Henry Viii, she wrote that Henry's mood swings and headaches started after his jousting accident, when his horse fell on top of him. Allegedly, he was unconcious for a few hours and they didn't know if he"d make it.... Gruesome description of the coffin contents 🙊🙉 xx 🥰

I love you two. It was my understanding that lead lined coffins were used to prevent the leakage of body fluids. Henry VIII apparently exploded before the coffin was intered. 🤮

Forced into retirement after Covid now: 💐🐉📖🐕🐕🦀🥂🌻

The prices are insane (i.e. simple water for 1,50 pounds, a coffee nearly 4 pounds ...), given that I - like all british citizens - pay taxes for the maintien of that real estate. Definitely not worth to visit: long travel to get there, historically not interesting, gardens nice, but nothing exceptional, over-priced and generally bad weather, even in summer.

A lovely hotel in Cheshire. They took care of most of the planning apart from the registrar ..In July. Sun was out and harp playing in the grounds. Big family and friends photo...Just beautiful. 💖

Back in 1982 we got married we had 6 weeks to get everything ready.. Long story short.. We had our first home, decorated it furnished it. And we wanted to live together get married later... But my Dad said no, so we went to see the vicar got the wedding date, 4 o'clock 18th September.. We to back home told my parents you have good news and bad news.. They both went we will have the good news first so we told them we are getting married.. The bad news you have 6 weeks to do it.. So we got the dress from jorrolds big shopping store in Norwich, got the bridesmaids dresses from garlands big shopping store in. Norwich.. Got my flowers from jarrolds silk and bridesmaids headdress.. We had my familys cars got ribbon to put on the cars.. We had a buffet reception in the church hall next to the church so we walked to the hall from the church we were able to use the vector garden for photos.. We had 100 guests.. It was a hot summer day.. And it came together brillantley.. We now have been married for 42 years we didn't have a honeymoon our money went on our home.. But I wouldn't change a thing ❤🎉🍾🥂great photos of you both.. ❤

I enjoy you two and your take on things so I would say do what you fancy and if that means there are no more trips out that is absolutely fine by me. You two are such fun and great together. Totally agree about diet..... gluten makes my asthma much worse so I avoid it completely now and I have had a chronic egg allergy for ever. (hospital needed after even a small amount so constant vigilance needed) Hats off to you both for your humour and common sense xxxxx

Thanks Claire and Gary. ❤❤ Dietary requirements, yes still needs to change alot more. Has got better. I hardly eat out as you just never know what you are getting. In my 20s, 30s and some of my 40s up at silly hours ,working and travelling lots to work. In my 50s a much slower pace of life.

All through my 20s,30s and 40s I left home 7am in London and got home after 6pm, my husband would leave 6am and not get back until 7pm....children would go early to school and hour later after school, we needed the money, in my 50s I was able to leave at 9 am till 5pm...love your natters so thank you both for posting 😊

We now say in our 60s.. We do what we want when we want.. We having a small Christmas, we are now stay at home people, been there done that, now we want to enjoy our new home and garden.. We just got rid of our big car, we live in a small town but in the country, our back garden walks onto a farmers field.. So we are so enjoying... Iv had a hare In the garden pheasants, squirrel, patridges, fox, woodpecker.. Woodcock.. Its lovely... We love it so much here.. 🎄🍁🍂🐿️🦔🐇🦊🦆
