Thanks! That's exactly what I was going for. I've been a singer in multiple cover bands over the years, so it is good to add some of the vocals to my fingerdrumming programs. :)
What I think is particularly cool about the comeback of jungle is people finally exploring all the other adjacent realms of techno that jungle can slide in and out of and vice versa. As listeners we’re getting treated to the best of all worlds and if you’re a producer you’re privy to some of the best resources and technology ever made to find your own niche in these subgenre blends. Shit rocks.
@@sweetsweetmeat I see a lot of people inspired by people who have put their own take on the genre as well. So, it’s definitely evolving. I’m all 90s Everything from jungle to techno/house/boombap, whatever. So, trying to do my best to pay homage to the vibes while also doing my own thing

Dude thanks so much, this ruled. Would love to hear you break down more the process and idea behind your pad lay outs. Do you tend to cut the amen break parts to particular pads (kick here, snare here, etc) or is it a different process per beat. Its something Im having trouble with

I’d be Interested to know how you get everything sounding the way you do? I’ve always thought maybe you mastered your performance afterwards but there it is coming straight out of the sampler sounding great.
Would love to know how you process the one hits. Even just some hints. Like do you use akalizer? An old rack mount akai? Do you have to go heavy on any delay or reverb to fill in the digital silence or just drag the ends out with warping of some kind. The way it sounds is so fluid. Ps I think one of the most underrated and probably my favorite jungle album (when though it's probably better defined as drum and bass -referring to this album) is breakbeat era -breakbeat era. Even if you don't do in depth videos about your behind the scenes processing I think this format for your videos going forward is the right move. Good luck!!
Thanks for asking! I use a lot of different process to get the one-shots to flow smoothly, with the goal of making these live freestyles & routines sounding just like fully produced Jungle tracks. I'll be sharing some of that at a high level here on the channel, and will be deep diving with lots of detail on my new Patreon in the coming weeks/months. Breakbeat Era is great! Roni SIze & DJ Die are major players! I love all their stuff on Dope Dragon and Full Cycle as well.
I want to hear you play with some samples with a lot of bass in them bro. You got the best rhythm of any DNB I've heard but for whatever reason the sub bass doesn't come threw on your tracks as much as Id like. There has to be a way to get some room rattling bass chopped in samples you can play along with your crazy beats. Seriously tho brother the way you play samples has been a huge inspiration to me. Both for my producing and my drumming.
Thanks! Most, if not all, of my programs have low end and sub bass layers that come through really well on larger speaker systems. My programs and freestyles are designed to be performed live at tour gigs, and sometimes the low end in some of my earlier videos doesn't come through as well on small computer or phone speakers. The newer ones have a lot more dynamics in the bass, which should sound solid. I spend a lot of time on the mixing and mastering of the sound at the sample level, so hope that's working. :)
