    4. Public relations specialist
    Primary duties: Public relations specialists are tasked with creating and maintaining a positive public image, either for the company that they work with or for an outside client who hires their services. They do that by creating material for various media platforms, managing public relations programs and other similar activities. As a gender studies major, your acquired skills can help you train employers, clients and the general public on various societal and cultural norms that need to be respected in today's society.
    5. Social workers
    Primary duties: Social workers either work directly with people to help them manage various issues that appear in everyday life or work in a clinical setting and treat various emotional, mental and behavioral issues. The job usually requires a very varied set of skills, as most people have unique issues that they struggle with. However, a gender studies degree can help you better understand personal and societal gender-specific issues, which can help you be more efficient when offering assistance.
    6. Writer
    Primary duties: As a writer, you work either independently or for an organization and are tasked with producing well-researched written content on various subjects of interest. Some writers produce content on different topics, while others prefer to specialize on one major topic. As a gender studies degree holder, you are qualified to produce written content regarding gender interactions and the evolution of gender roles in today's society.
    7. Political campaign manager
    Primary duties: A campaign manager is tasked with coordinating various aspects of a political campaign's operations, like fundraising, spreading various political messages across, convincing the public to vote, advertising, communicating with the media and other similar duties. A gender studies graduate can be an asset to a political campaign, as they can educate politicians regarding the current trends regarding gender relations.
    8. Communications manager
    Primary duties: A communications manager typically leads a team of communication professionals that represent a company or institution to the public and its stakeholders. They handle all internal and external communication and have the overall goal of making sure the company or institution's message and vision are properly communicated. Although the role also requires experience in a communications-based role, a gender studies degree can help you handle internal and external communications on delicate issues regarding gender.
    9. Human resources manager
    Primary duties: Human resources managers are responsible for overseeing an organization's human resources department. This includes activities like recruiting new personnel, interviewing potential employees, establishing clear criteria for hiring and dismissal along with the company's upper management and other activities that are related to the company's workforce. Although the role typically requires several years of experience in other human resources-related roles, having a gender studies degree can prepare you to deal with various workplace situations that involve gender-specific issues.

      Thanks for the information. The point is not that there are no jobs for those who study these courses. There are jobs for every type of degree, however, the point is that these jobs are not many and may be quite difficult to get without help. That is why it not advisable to pursue it.

      @PatsTune well you say philosophy is a useless degree to have, so I figured you must have a degree you consider to be better.

    • @edemklu5448
      @edemklu5448 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nevertheless, I think your views on some of the courses, especially philosophy and archaeology, are short-sighted. They have their own perks. Philosophy, for instance, is pursed by students who have the desire to pursue law in the future. Also, your critical thinking skills are developed immensely. So I think it's not right for you to call a course useless, especially when you are not an authority in any academic field

      @@edemklu5448 True all courses have their own perks and people who have succeeded in their careers due to having read that course. There are always exceptional cases which are not the norm. I'm using data from the average person who reads these courses. Most end up pursuing careers that have nothing to do with their degrees. That is why these degrees are seen as useless and not because they are inherently useless.
