    As a collector of many years of Lincolns from modern to 50s this is like a new world I thoroughly enjoyed this I always love broadening my horizon and learning new things awesome.

    Some nice coins. 1913D Lincoln Cent 64RB. "Not really any distracting marks." Besides those fingerprints on both sides of the coin? In 1913 it may have been John D. Rockefeller himself pinching that penny. // Nice strike on the 1919D, can be tough to find. 31S was beautiful and undergraded.

    I'm starting to think there is only 1 person grading the coins in a signal submissions. I agree with you saying I cannot see it being cleaned and we have to believe 3 or more graders found it to be cleaned ? really I think something is off to say the least on the grading.

    Damn that matte proof! Gorgeous! Definitely the pick of the litter. I actually need one for my 20th century proof type set. Just having a hard time dropping the cash for it as I don’t see it as a different “type” per se. For now I’m focusing on actual different type designs. I only need the buffalo nickel, barber quarter and Morgan. Anyhow, some real beauties there brother! Thanks much for sharing!

    Pretty cool. I probably need to get some early teens too. The first coin I purchased was $35.00. It’s a 1938S RPM wheat penny. I hope it gets a good grade but I don’t think I’ll ever sell it.

      Getting them graded can be fun and can be frustrating! Thanks for watching.

    The 2nd to last, 1931S, you said "super clear fields" however I noticed a mark to the left of Lincoln's head.

    Do u soak in acetone and camel hair brush before submittal? Or prepare them in other ways before submittal?

    • @flackthat7
      @flackthat7 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Car1Sagan- I would never recommend doing either.

    • @Car1Sagan
      @Car1Sagan 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@flackthat7 I understand that this is part of the "restoration" process done and charged by the slabbers anyway.

    • @TheCoinGeek
      @TheCoinGeek  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've never had a camel hair brush (that I know of). Acetone is important for coins with PVC damage and we do use it occasionally to save the coin.

    These "unc details cleaned", wth do they see that we don't? Still looking for a video showing what they see to make such a determination.

      When you don't agree with the grade, it's hard to justify the grade.

    You need to be a member to get coins graded by NGC?

    • @TheCoinGeek

      I believe they have a membership level, and a dealer level.

    It looks like NGC needs to get their sh!t together it is obvious that most of the Unc. Details cleaned are not cleaned. Most of their assessment of this lot of pennies is wrong and I think needs a second opinion.
