a couple of tips i use to save caps and farm them. 1) i save caps by having stragegically placed camps around the maps where there are no free fast travel points, or by places that i fast travel most often. if you are farming XP at west tec and you have a camp there it will save you hundreds of caps over time to be able to fast travel there for free every time. 2) the arms keeper perk is great to throw on while gathering rifles to sell. rifles are super common drops from blood eagles, super mutants, cultists and scorched, and they sell for reasonable high price if they weigh 1/4 of that they should. 3) selling stuff is the same as inventory management. when i go to the whitespring mall the first thing i sell is food i dont care about or is super easily replaced, and chems i dont use. add to that any rad x, radaway and stim packs i have beyond 50 this can make absolute bank. especially if you do the moonshine jamboree and then cook up all the gulper slurrys you can. the gulper slurries alone from one jamboree can make 600 caps in one go. 4) the homebody and salesman build. if you have a spare slot for a dedicated build with the punch card machine it is well wort making a dedicated build for camp chores and going to the shops. max out your strength for all the carry weight perks, max your charisma for max prices (and the shopaholic perk card maxed) and prioritise the perks that let you repair weapons and armour, craft extra stuff at work benches, and the happy camper perk so you get less hungry at home. by having a dedicated build for these things you will save money on weapons and armour breaking, make more ammo, chems, food and weapons at work benches both saving resources and making more to sell, and get the most money possible when you sell your goods.
The reason why is because players who already make the economic situation in this game suck, would make it suck even more, but I do agree, I’d rather not have a limit, I just want to be able to buy things in the game😩
I put up a sign advertising my deals and saying valid only if im at my camp, like 3 for 2 chems, spend 5k get a free 3star, complete bobblehead set for display purposes etc. You'd be surprised at what moves when you inject a little more value to the exchange.
My caps are always near max, even though I always spend 6000 caps to buy the 300 gol every week. Its easy to earn back the caps, even though there is not much use for the caps. 😂
Having too many caps is a burden when you're a vendor. I sold a forest asylum outfit and maxed out, then I saw that player's friend at my vendor and I had a pink Asylum outfit in there. I quit the server and then ran around another trying to spend 20k.
I would’ve just turned off the vendor, you don’t know how much it ruins the experience and makes others not want to buy your stuff again if you leave, they will remember you, it’s happened multiple times to me and my friends so we steer clear
Whenever I get to 40,000 caps I purchase a mutation formula recipe, learn it, & sell the mutation in my vending machine at bargain prices along with chems, various nuka products, & unique items. I collect, charge, & sell cheap fusion cores & highly needed & popular ammo. Killing scorch beasts is hardly a challenge any longer, farming nuked flora, & other ingredients make it possible to sell shielded under armors of every type every day. The game is turning stale at this point, too easy at my level, it needs a refresher of the highest magnitude to hold my attention much longer.
Being rich in Fallout 76 has nothing to do with cap, all you are showing people is how to get the max dam from the Aristocrat effect. Being "rich" in fallout76 is all about assets Rare outfits, rare plans, god roll weapons and armour and so on. By far the best way to accumulate caps and ongoing wealth is to visit as many noob camps around special event and just buy of the event plans they are selling for under 50caps (because they dont know what they are worth, sit on them till the end of event and sell them for more. also farm locations you can get rare outfits so fort defiance and the random encounter vendors. also invest in serum plans from the enclave, serums, bobble heads and magazines sell well.
I’m happy to sell event plans for cheap because I always get to max caps so quickly even if I spend big on something like a serum recipe. I don’t see a point in being greedy when caps are so abundant. I’d rather help lower level players get exciting plans.
@@samanthasteffanelli Its not greedy its just retail, basic capitalism. its not like im selling the plans for a lot more im just making a drink out of it. say I see a bunch of Fasnacht plans selling for 11caps each like i did today il sell them for 50 - 100 caps, still cheap but good profit. I see a back pack skin for 50 I sell for 300. its not like im charging a ridicules prices like 7k for a red dinosaur witch I have seen a lot. I do help new players but if you basically give them it for nothing, they will feel no reward, liked they worked for something. its already a easy game, how much more easy do you want to make it?
@@sirdigbychickencaesar71, well that’s a difference, 50-100 is honestly a fair price compared to most people who sell the same stuff for up to 15thousand, not worth the price of half the stuff in camps, but it’s usually the easiest place to get most plans

Incredibly helpful. Thanks mate.
40k cap limit is too Low. let's raise the bar man... 100k
That's how inflation starts
@@josephkinsey9247 / lol. yup

exactly. every other mmo has zero money limit why this game does is ridiculous

I need help I have just finished all main quests and feeling bored :( any suggestions on what to do now?
Farm build and explore

Moonshine Jamboree is my favorite to collect easy caps.

Just turn off vendor until ready to gain caps

I sell ammo near flat woods. Newish players always need ammo and always seem to pass by there.
Quick tip sell tactical marine helmet they are cheap to make and they sell to 31 caps each
cap stashes are boring to farm but you can get a decent amount of caps
