I really liked how they portrayed them of having a plan all along , pretending to be crazy to be put in the mental hospital instead of jail , I think that's how it really got down in the real slender man case . I'm so happy with how this episode came out .
Actually the victim spoke in favour of one of the attackers getting parole some years later because she felt that now their obvious mental health problems were being monitored and medicated they no longer posed a threat to her or general society. Which in my opinion is pretty damn gracious on her part.
This is based off of the Slender Man Stabbing in Wisconsin. The horrible thing is, this happened in my city and I knew one of the girls involved. It is crazy to think that someone can be influenced so quickly by something fictional.

Kaleigh Walters and also remember a lot of the stories are based off of actual serial killers and serial kidnappers...one episode where Darryl Kern and his accomplice Martin Keavy, built a bunker in the woods of NY and wanted to use it to prepare for what they thought was upcoming race war, Tutola and Munch went on a nationwide manhunt, they found Martin in a barn gutted like a catfish, Kern kidnapped a mother and her young daughter and were spotted in Canada at a shopping center and were arrested, The story is based off of Charles Ng and Leonard Lake, who built a bomb shelter style bunker it's where they kept men, women and infants, they murder the infants and men and keep the women by assaulting them or letting them die of their injuries..Ng was arrested after being caught for shoplifting, Lake swallowed a cyanide pill he has sewn into his shirt, Ng is serving his death sentence at San Quentin's Death Row. He has had 25 other charges acquitted but is still serving his sentence for the kidnappings, sexual assaults and murder.
In the real life case I don't think they were actually brainwashed by slender man , I think they just wanted to kill their friend just to do something crazy . I think it was supposed to mean that the girl who got off with the lighter sentence was more involved than she said, so they were "celebrating" that only one of them got a hard sentence? The girls in the real case got similar sentences, tho, so it seems like that details was probably an embellishment added to the script
@@joewhitehead3 Because they both had sever psychological problems, I would assume. I don't know specifics, since I'm not a doctor or psychiatrist, but I would think that's why. IRL, the girls who did this stabbed their best friend (not one of their sisters) and they both got sentences in a psychiatric unit for 20-40 years, leading me to believe the judge felt they needed mental help more than anything...

I am not American but every time I watch videos, movies, TV shows, news & etc. regarding heroes, the military were and always being thank for their services risking their lives for America but cops, F.B.I., firemen, paramedics and etc. are often unrecognized or if so it is seldom. I think they also risk their lives for other even within America closer than the military fighting for other country's liberty or peace most of the time.
This little girl also plays a girl murdered by her ex bestfriend because she wanted to be popular and couldnt be with a nerd friend like her in the show cold case
