The reason for DEF, regen problems Marten doesn't spend the $$$ to maintain these trucks. You're supposed to get the particulate filter cleaned every 200k miles by removing the filter and taking it to a shop where they have a oven made for this process. A truck can only get this filter that hot, a oven of this caliber gets even hotter to cook down the soot then be blown out. A particulate filter may not exceed 30% soot level after being professionally cleaned. I've been a driver for 7yrs for Marten, 4yrs as a owner op. Time is $$$$$ out here. I'll keep on the lookout for ya
Companies like martin, and yes, i actually drove for them, they get recapped tires because they are a cheap company! They are cheap on the pay scale, rhey dont pay for half the things they are suppose to. Ans they dont often pay the driver for detention or lay over pay.
