I had Smith winning, but by 3 points. Mr. Rodriquez I believe is a black man from the united States from the picture I saw of him. But the question I would like to know, and have not seen this yet, are the punch stat numbers.
Must have been a frustrating fight for Chris. Good on him for being patient. How Okolie made it this far in the sport behaving like that is beyond me.

Domestic level call is a bit harsh but I have no problem with using this fight as the promotional video of why boxing has been ruined thanks to all the belts per division .

I was a fan of Okolie and I gave him chance after chance hoping he’d have changed his style at this point in his career but he hasn’t. Bro if you’re afraid to get hit in the face or ko’d in front of 100s of thousands then Boxing Isn’t for you and im not being harsh.
The cruiserweight division must be in the gutter if okolie can win and keep hold of a title.

The cruiserweight division, for the most part, since its inception in 1979, has consistently been the division with the least amount of quality. I assume it is because most fighters with talent would rather fight at heavyweight and make more money.

Okolie cheated his way through every round. Should have been disqualified. His best punch is hold the head with the left and hook with the right. Or punches to the back of the head. Terrible work.

There are so many more talented boxers in the country that don’t get a look on because London clubs fast track there fighters into the pro scene and it shows, London has recently produced some of the worst pros in uk boxing history
I don’t mind a bit of rough and tumble. Instead of breaking them up constantly the ref should have told them to punch and get out. I love those short punches on the inside, that’s where a lot of damage can be done. Okolie was constantly mauling instead of punching up close, so deserved to have points taken away. The second and third knockdowns was a farce, they were never knockdowns, but the ref was so fed up of the mauling he decided to call them knock downs, which was what cost Okoli the fight. CBS was given that fight by Okolie’s lack of ring IQ.
Best and honest review on this post.... I didnt see CBS dominate any portion of the fight minus dropping Okolie in the 4th

Okolie looked like Wilder focused on a big right hand, but somehow with even less skill than Wilder... I was impressed for all the wrong reasons.

He achieved something that I didn't think was possible and i'll remember it for a long time. It stands out, it left an impression on me, it was special, but none of it in a good way = I was impressed for all the wrong reasons.

Okolie holds because he can't fight on the inside, he grabs as soon as the fight starts going to inside. The holding in this fight is horrendous they need to put a lot of work on that inside fighting for okolie

Interesting to see a world title fight where both fighters have gone all out to try to lose. Okolie's whole game is the range-finding jab followed by the straight right hand. All the leaning on, holding and grappling is to make up for the fact he has nothing else in his repertoire. Billam-Smith is a glorified doorman with zero ring IQ. Okolie defied all expectations in managing to lose to such a chump.
