It's nice to see someone so enthusiastic and obviously enjoying the scooter for what it is without the sneering attitude that some have towards scooters. I recently rode mine from northern UK down to Switzerland for a tour around the alpine passes and can confirm they are more than capable of carrying me and all my luggage on such trips without missing a beat. I has a '21. I'm 6'4"/ 255lbs. I love it! I take it on 100 mile rides on the weekends. I have two motorcycles and my Vespa. If I could keep only one, it would be the Vespa.
On my channel I ride a Harley-Davidson FXDL, but the movie Luca put Vespas on the map for me. Then Eric from Kraken's Garage and Adventures bought one, so now I'm committed to trying to test ride one someday! The model you're on really nails the aesthetic for me. Great looking scoot.
It’s not panels it’s a monocoque steel design from the beginning. Never trust the kickstand delete that day one if you buy one it will fall over and cause damage. Also the engineer who moved the check oil/oil fill over the exhaust should have his fingers singed daily. Seats crap for passengers but there are a lot of options for that.

I have owned sports and adventure bikes and now have a Vespa 300 GTS. I rode it from the UK via Cyprus to Azerbaijan. It's crossed off road mountain passes in Albania and Georgia. They make a great lightweight tourer.
The Ducati of scooters is high praise. Hopefully, you get the opportunity of trying the CE04, which would probably receive the wife’s approval. 60 mph seems feasible, considering the limits & capabilities…doubtful 70-90 mph is the standard operating zone, but it’s good peace of mind to know that it’s capable & stable at those speeds.
Love the GTV, looks amazing. Would love to own one one day, probably go for a Bonneville Speed 400 before buying a GTV. Best to buy and keep memorable bikes. I'm going to need a garage soon 😂
When you went on the highway all the cars were still going by you were you wide open maxed out? I had a Vespa 250 and it would do 75 mile an hour I'm 240 lb a problem on the highway is going up a hill the speed would drop down to about 65. you get pushed by every vehicle behind you at that speed so it's really not able to stay at speed on the highway
I have never ridden one and am testing this model next week are they way better to ride than standard scooters? Do you think the beige or gun metal grey

Hey Ray, are you in texas? I am touring with my M1000R and stopped in lake tahoe for a few nights till the storm passes. I've got all summer to tour around. It'd be fun to meet up if it was possible and have our twin bikes riding together.

It's very simple. You turn it on. And you go. A vespa is easier to ride than a bicycle. It's all automatic. Just the gas and the brake.
How smooth is it? I have a genuine Buddy kick 125. Lobe that scooter but it can be rough
