If we were all one race, people would still discriminate against eachother first by class, then religion, then accent, maybe weight. We as a species will always be like this. i visited Ireland in 1996. I as a half Irish and half Italian was a standout and i saw no other races. one man warned me to not go past a particular block, as "those people" were "different". I went anyway as i was curious, and all i saw was a whole bunch of other Irish ethnic people so i learned that even in such so called homogenous places human will always find some way to differentiate themselves. Tribalism is innate. In Africa one tribe practically wiped out another because their nose was different and used it as a way to decide whom to kill. There will never be a utopia. never.

Race mixing as a whole is not something all people will do. I'm from Puerto Rico and we have been mixing for over 500 years and not every person on the island is mixed. You can still find individuals who look mostly European , others look mostly Sub Saharan African and even some who look American Indian. Those who mix are many but not to the point of erasing the others. The important thing is freedom. I love the freedom to be with the person i love regardless of their phenotype.

In some parts of India, we have a good mix of different races. Fr some reason, it doesn't become a homogenous mix. There is always different gene patterns that shows up in every generations. I think that's also the case with other parts of the world where people are mixing like the Latin Americas

If any other ethnic group had benefited from the geographic, cultural, and biological (plagues did more to wipe out indigenous populations than any military maneuvers) happenstance that poised the European explorers to set sail and colonize, then the same tactics would have likely been used, albeit with a little variable swapping, because Mercantalism was the name of the game during the Age of Exploration.
I think the notion of an "all one mixed race" is silly, not because any of it removes what makes us unique, but rather because we are all already mixed race to a degree. It's genetically impossible to achieve a one mix race due to the geographical differences and social attitudes. There are wide swaths of people who would rather stick to the closest they look like themselves, which isn't wrong in itself and even if everyone were to deliberately have interracial mates, it would usually rebound to looking more or less like the other.

The genetic information which creates blue eyes, for example, is passed down to offspring by people who have that characteristic regardless of who their mate is. If two totally mixed people have that genetic info passed down to them by either parent, their offspring can have blue eyes. The information isn't lost.
Regardless, eye, hair, and skin color doesn't make anyone "belong" anywhere any more than the color of their poop. Culture is not reliant on those things. Cognitive and physical ability is not reliant on those things. My family likes to point out that one of my white friends is more Chinese than I am because he speaks better mandarin and knows more Chinese history and etiquette. The essence of Chinese culture is not measured by the amount of chest hair, degree of eye slant, or other shallow/superficial metric like that.

Thanks for mentioning what happened to Belize. The same happened to Guyana where the Black population was completely over taken by other races (now in the majority) due to more recent migration. I should also mention both countries had less than half a million people until recently. Europeans tend to closely monitor changes in their population more closely than Caribbean cultures.

It won't go away...the whole world being mixed doesn't mean everyone will look half black/half white. That is a huge misconception. There are already two billion or so heavily "mixed" people in places like Middle East, Caucasus, Central Asia, South America, etc. Since they were located at crossroads areas that experienced much migration, conquest, settlement, etc in the past centuries, they are very ancestrally mixed. Some of the most beautiful people I have ever seen have been "mixed"...especially the Eurasian look, where people are mixed with Slavic, Central Asian, Mongolian, Middle Eastern. I've seen some very unique and exotic looking people, with really beautiful ethnic features. Also, being heavily mixed means people are actually more likely to have unique appearances, because in populations where people have been mixing for many centuries/millennia, people carry all sorts of genes, and you never know which ones will express themselves in the phenotype. That's why for example, in certain countries/places, it's common for siblings to look different from each other and children to look different from their parents.

I agree that humanity is a beautiful mosaic of different cultures and colors and should be embraced for its diversity. Unfortunately, we've never lived in a world that's agreed with us on this. The very things you mention are the reasons we have had slavery and war and genocide and famine and political unrest. The 20th Century was the bloodiest century in the history of humankind, and this century isn't all that far behind. And because of this, because I too see the beauty of worldwide multiculturalism, I sort of look forward to it ending in about 500 years, when we're all interbred the differences out of us and we no long have skin color as a reason for killing one another. Hopefully by that time, if we haven't driven ourselves to extinction, we will have dropped the idea of the nation-state and opened our borders so wide that they become obsolete, and we'd truly be one people.

Personally, I do not think that the homology in race would ever happen, despite migration. I was couple of times in Turkey, there live people which are tainet and also blond and pail. I think people like more to marry someone of the same features, despite living in racially diverse country. This also does not implicate that people are racists. There was a study which showed that commonly people find attractive a person which mostly assembles them, not only race but also facial feature, height etc..

I think that it is still hard to foresee what the future human will look like. But from what we can already see now, people can travel much easier than ever before. Most immigrants in the world are going to western countries to have a better life. These immigrants come from all over the world and usually find a mate in the country and have children. Let's not forget that westerners have less and less children because of their life style and socio/economic environment. Those immigrants come mostly from third-world countries with a high density of population (China, India and African countries for example, but not only), and also have cultures that promote having a lot of children.
In some 100-200 years from now, the population in western countries will have completely change, most people will be brown, and western culture will have also change drastically. Some human features will be gone for sure, and a new kind of European will be born. Thanks for making this video. I have always wondered the same thing you mentioned in this clip. The world in the future will gradually look like a same race that’s the mixture of all races we can see nowadays. The European countries will be less and less “white” but the process for the African and Asian countries to be diverse will be much longer compared with the European countries. USA will become very much like Latin America now especially Brazil where people have more Eurasian or other mixed looks. This is unstoppable but we don’t know whether it’s a good thing for the future. I have a very diverse background, and my family members have different phenotypes, but it's just fine with me. I still feel connected to family members by our shared history and environment. Eventually, there will be new cultures. This isn’t something that stops. Even genetically, people will come to congregate in single areas and have their own distinguished look.
Even if everyone did become mixed, civilisation would not last forever (due to natural disasters, wars, resources we rely on running out) and when people couldnt rely on modern technology to survive anymore, the people best suited to the area that they were in would survive much better (as there would still be variation in phenotype even with all being mixed to the same degree) and that would cause adaptation of each population to the environment, causing different races to emerge again (that is why we have different races in the first place).
Personally I don't know how accurate this is, humans are pretty tribal and although ethnic Miss mixing has been occurring more its relatively speaking.
There's been studies done in overwhelmingly people still marry and date within their own and if they date outside they tend to find somewhere that's more similar to themselves, it's kind of human nature.
I think that it is still hard to foresee what the future human will look like. But from what we can already see now, people can travel much easier than ever before. Most immigrants in the world are going to western countries to have a better life. These immigrants come from all over the world and usually find a mate in the country and have children. Let's not forget that westerners have less and less children because of their life style and socio/economic environment. Those immigrants come mostly from third-world countries with a high density of population (China, India and African countries for example, but not only), and also have cultures that promote having a lot of children.
In some 100-200 years from now, the population in western countries will have completely change, most people will be brown, and western culture will have also change drastically. Some human features will be gone for sure, and a new kind of European will be born. Now you can apply this logic to the other countries in the future that will become stable and will attract immigrants from poor countries and regions. If you follow this paradigm, humans will all look the same on the planet. Just a matter of time before it happens.
Mix races would not abolish racism. We can get rid of racism when we teach our children the values of the character of a person rather than their origin or class…

In my opinion ethnicity is definitely a part of culture, for example the Romanians hold being Roman close. And how can a country feel connected to its history when it does not share the blood of those who’ve created it? That’s just my opinion though.
Not sure why you categorize East and Southeast Asian together... Completely different groups, although over the last 500 or so years, SE Asia has seen waves of migrations from East Asia (predominately southern China). Prior to that, there was huge influences from South Asia.
U are correct. Full blooded SE Asians with no East Asian mix look nothing like East Asians. One could confuse them with being Mexican, Hispanic, Pacific Islander, mixed race with African, completely ambiguous, etc. beautiful people se Asians are.
