      I think you will know why you need the three years videography course only when you attended it. Really, you won't even know what you've missed, until you really start learning it.
      Don't take me wrong, I'm not saying this is a bad "how to" film, it is really a good one in fact, I gave a thumb up. But this film only covered a fraction of what you will need to know when it's your turn to do it.
      So, you still need that 3 year course + 3 more years experience if you are going run this business.

The behind the scenes really helped me with what to get/bring, what to expect on the day, what shots to think about. I shot much more low-fi than this (iPhone, lenses, gimbal, consumer drone and some small lights) so watching this also helped me know what limitations I would run into and helped me plan how to work around them. Thank you!

I feel like with high-stress wedding shoots like this, getting the actual shots isn't as much of a burden as talking to everyone and making sure everyone is on the same page and understands what the plan is. As well as being assertive, but friendly, with everyone and getting everyone together to get the shots that you want and know will make the film better. Great behind the scenes, thank you for making this.

    Thoroughly enjoyed seeing you collab with the photographer. I do both photo and video, and have a second photographer take over photo when we're offering both services. On occasion, a bride who has already booked a photographer brings me on for video. It's a blessing to get to work both sides of the spectrum, because I've been able to tailor my habits and mannerisms to both ensure great shots for me, for the photographer and also guarantee a non-intrusive experience for the couple and guests. If you are a photographer who uses only primes, sits in the front and center of an aisle during a ceremony and you don't care if you're blocking the videographer or guests in order to "get your shot", then you should re-think what you're doing in the wedding business. I coordinate every Ceremony with the photographer (camera placements, where I'd like to be to get my shot and allow them to get theirs, etc.). It baffles my mind the amount of photographers that go "yup, ok, good, sounds great", then block the cameras and shots, or just stand plainly in front of them. Jokes on them, I inform the photographer and couple that we'll be coordinating shots and if they ruin mine, I just show the couple the video and explain that unfortunately the photographer chose to ruin your video, because they simply didn't care or don't have the proper equipment to ensure getting the shot and not ruin my own (ie. the photographers that only shoot prime, because they're sharper - zombies). Primes are for getting ready, photoshoot, all non-speaking portions of the Reception, you need zooms for Ceremony, Toasts and Reception Games people. How many weddings I've booked after a wedding, because a photographer was always in the way and ruining moments and I'm always back capturing it beautifully without interfering is always nice though. People notice these things.

    I was just looking at my equipment, which I am quite proud of at the moment and worked a lot for (A7iii with 1 lens, A6000 with 3 lenses, Mavic 2 Pro, Zhiyun Crane Plus). Looking at your gear makes me feel like I own a toy camera :')

    • @rockboyjazz
      @rockboyjazz 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      LeniVidiVici Cinema lol what!? his gear is pretty standard for any professional videography business out there. And when it comes to camera, A7III is one of the best hybrid shooters in the market right now. A lot of my friends went from using GH5 to A7III.

      @sierradolch 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rockboyjazz Hey! I'd really like to know why they switched over, because I've been looking at both the GH5S and the A7RIII. I'm leaning more towards the GH5S, and am really into film, but I'd still love to hear other's take on it who have more experience than me! Thanks in advance! :)
