I've never done any gold prospecting but I've followed your channel for a long time . Really enjoyed watching this series . Keep up the great entertainment
Absolutely loved this series Chris! Thank you for all your hard work mate, I have been crook for a long time and stuck in bed 24/7. My Drs are trying to get my high pressure down without another brain surgery. You have helped me more than you can imagine. Thank you.
Well done, Chris. I know I'm strange, but I find the clean up process to be my favourite. Having absolutely no life,😉 when I get home from the river, I love nothing more than to put on some great metal music and a pair of 20X magnified glasses, and use a pair of pointy nose tweezers to extract the gold from what's in the snuffer bottle. Granted, I don't get as much as you just did, usually between one and two grams, and it takes a while, but I find it so cathartic.
I don't know how you can get the super fine gold ever panned when you're a gamer too, unless you're really good at time management for such tedious things, in reference to finding time to do the really fine gold sifting. As usual, really great episode, Chris, thanks for sharing, bubba. ❤
Chris take it from an Old Prospector like me. If you've got a Garret pan like you have or most gold pans that size of bottom. When you cover the complete bottom with a thin layer of gold. That is usually one ounce of gold without even having to weighing the gold. Specially dealing with the fine gold you have. Usually half a pan half an ounce 3/4 of a pan 3/4 of an ounce when the bottom is thinly covered
Nice work man, just goes to show what you can do with the right research and effort to find the spots. Of course the gold price these days helps alot but to be able to make a living on your own terms is awesome.
Somewhere, some time soon, we, me, you and others should get a list, photos, stories etc. to get a nice closure to the 100 bucket challenge. It went international!
$30 hr is not great but if u take in to account you are working in the Australian bush and enjoying ur job its bloody great. Great series thoughly enjoyed everyone of them. thanks Chris well done.
Phew! Challenge conquered, Chris! A great result for the effort. Although it took the time it did, the value of gold hadn't risen as quickly over the last 3 months, so showing ~$30 per bucket compares favourably to the minimum hourly wage, but untaxed, free of fees and charges, and, like all organised delusions, no repayments, and no interest! It's a great overview for prospecting, you can target good concentrates at a bucket an hour, while enjoying nature and getting a good workout, at least while the two spinal surgery sores and ischaemic heart failure tell you to pack your shit and get it and yourself back to the car, while you still have the strength to steer, brake and accelerate your way home, and into a hot shower. You then leave the concentrates and gear awhile, until the pains go, and you feel like scratching a crevice, or flipping boulders again! Mind you, you look fitter and healthier, or you've now a way better shampoo, I'd like to know which it is. Cheers!
A lot of blood sweat and probably tears went into making the 100 bucket challenge, a big shout out to Bruce’s warehouse, for making this possible… too my family and friends, thank you for supporting along way.. and all the people who I’ve forgotten to mention.. you know who you are….. OLYMPIC GOLD BABY “ 🥇….. Ahhh whoops .. that was a different gold show, anyway well done Chris 😂👍😎
Mother nature's rewards ...Cracking video that...Such a great thing to be doing...wish England was worth doing it ...we aren't as lucky to have many rivers of gold...If I could I'd go prospecting every day for sure ...
As of today sat morning aug 17 at current gold prices that’s $1952.13 USD CRAZY that there is $500 or so difference between our countries been waiting a while for this really wish you’d reached an ounce for your hard work but that’s the way the cookie crumbles as they say. Was still cool to see all that gold in the same place at the same time thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼
I'm from the Netherlands. Gold prospecting is impossible here I've prospected gold for some weeks in new Zealand at the exact same time when you where there 1.5 year ago Love your content and I hope you will prospect in Europe some day maybe Scotland or Spain
Looks like a great cleanup man! One thing I do is put the pan in the oven at around 50 degrees for 20 minutes.dry asca nuns you know what 😮 anyways I have reedy Creek gold to sell you if interested
That is so awesome. I am very inspired to get back out next week now that the water is going down. Just wondering why you don't use a magnet to quickly get rid of the majority of the black sand. Once I have all my gold dried out and spread on a piece of paper, I just circle around with a magnet under the paper to make a little pile off to the side. Only takes a few seconds. Cheers. Love your work.
I'd be very interested for you to try a similar experiment, on finding rocks to crush. Not 100 buckets but maybe in a similar timeframe taken for your 100 "Bruce" buckets challenge. Just to see which one is more profitable. And yes I know it's a hobby which is more aligned to your enjoyment than profitability I'm just a curious sod!
I remember a primary school trip to Kalgoorlie, they showed us how to recover the most gold. You have to use mercury. It binds to the gold then you just boil it off, hood preferred. Oh on that trip they had these trough pans where we could try fake panning (they threw in fake nuggets, it was primary school) But Judd, he was a smart guy, he went and picked up quartz that had fallen off the old belt, the forty year old+ belt, that fed the crusher. Found a bit that had like a ton of gold in it, I saw it and it was in the stone and was clearly a lot. The guy that run the tour was questioning him pretty aggressively about where he found it. I never knew if he got to keep that chunk, like a cricket ball size and .5mm veins running through it. This trip would have been late 80's early 90's When the mine was deep not open cut. They took you down and threw a can into a massive under earth chasm. You never heard it hit.

Learning a lot. First, I wasn’t even aware of flour gold. Second, I was too precious with my panning. And so much more. Thanks
Glad it was helpful! I used to be precious about it too
Congratulations. Well done. You deserve it. ✌️♥️♥️

Cheers for the paydirt, Chris! Excellent value, great fun to work. If you haven't bought some dirt from Chris, you need to change that stat. 👍
Congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉
Awesome video. I just asked yesterday about when this was coming out. Yeah buddy.
I can imagine your schedule is packed, but it would be awesome to see some international collaborations with some of the other TH-cam prospectors.
It's the money. Costs a lot to fly overseas

Nice!
Am I the only one who feels the chalk scratching on a chalkboard when other people clean the black sands from fine gold?
Yep
Good job! But that means you can only break minimum on pemium ground?

Is it possible to smelt your finest flour gold to separate it from the non gold?
If flour gold readily floats, but black sands don't, is there a way to use that characteristic to separate them?
