Mate I just have to say you’re an absolute legend, have found all of your videos showing how to work on a B series to be the best on the internet. Don’t even think I would have been able to do half the stuff I’ve done on my BA without one of your videos on replay😂.
@@Jeenzy79 I thought there was a lot more to pulling them out, still looks like a bit of a pain doing it on the floor, but id thought it was a hoist job. Def good to know, cheers again mate, very imformative vid.
Aha that’s awesome mate… good to hear. Glad the vid came in handy to someone. A big job, but not a hard job. Well done for getting it done mate, you’ve definitely probably saved yourself some cash… and you know about the car that little bit more 👌🏼

@@Jeenzy79 Ended up doing it, and thanks to your videos a lot of the guess work went out of it. Really appreciate it mate! Saved me like $1300 or something... And hey, wouldn't mind if you did make another video on that one! Very helpful stuff
@@BenFlipsCars Hey mate, that’s awesome to hear. Good on you for having a crack, saving yourself a ton of cash is always a good thing too! Glad the video came in handy too mate. Cheers!
Gidday Jeenzy bonza cheers for all your Falcon vids especially this one with the Diff bushes and Rear main oil seal! Can I ask you to list the 3 Differential bushes you used as I think they should fit my BA XT 2003 sedan, non-lsd, original bushes have done so far 288,000 Ks so its time to change them and do the rear seal as its leaking to bottom of bell housing. Also can you tell me specifically the correct torque in Nm for the four large IRS cradle large nuts and the two long bolts holding the cradle up on either side. I already have the Nm for the 3 Diff bushes long bolts so thats ok. And as they say your blood is worth bottling lol! Keep up the great work! V
Hey mate, as far as I’m aware (I could be wrong) the biff bushes are different between some BA/BF models. I think the two forward facing bushes in the front of the cradle are the same however the rear one is where they can be different. Some have the bolt go straight through the centre of the bush and I think some (the earlier models) have the centre bolt hole offset so it would depend on what your set up is, as to exactly what bushes you would need for your car. As for the torque settings for the 4 large nuts and the two long bolts… 125nm is what is stated in the ford manual. Cheers. Here’s a link for the rear torque settings: fordforums.com.au/wsmpub/sx/204-04.html
Great video mate. Got a BF Ghia with a knocking sound in the left rear, did u drive that without bump stops and had no knocking noises? Im trying to rule out whether its as simple as replacing them which i can see are completely stuffed.
I’ve only seen people have done it online but never in person. Though seeing as though you’d have to drop the cradle down to get the sika in there properly, it’d probably be best just changing them out. That being said, if you don’t have tools to get the new ones in, it could be an option. Cheers for the feedback too mate. 🍻
did you use just the one jack to put the auto back in. or any other bits to help the process.im about to tackle changing a auto on my bf. and want to be as prepared as possible
Hey mate, yup just the one jack, it was a bigger workshop one which makes life easy but you can definitely do it with a normal size trolley jack too. One thing I’d suggest is once you remove the tailshaft, put a jack under the gearbox crossmember, undo the 4 bolts holding it to the body and then lower the jack. It will lower the back of the box down and also tilt the engine back a bit so you can easily access the top 3 bolts on the bell housing. Then you can jack the box back up and put a couple of crossmember bolts back enough to hold it up while to do all the rest. Also, for those three top bolts… all the extension bars definitely help!
@@Jeenzy79 ah beautiful thanks mate . I have learned the big extensions are needed for the top lol . Might get a plate for the jack so it spreads the load when I lower the trans down
Hi mate, what's the torque setting on the torque converter bolts to the fly wheel? I snapped my bolt in there I'm going to try and extract it this weekend. What did you torque the bolts down too I can't find nothing online about the torque settings online for ba bf. Thanks heaps
From memory I’m pretty sure it was 60nm… not sure what that works out to in ft lb. Good luck with getting the snapped bolt out mate. Hopefully it comes out easily for ya
@Jeenzy79 thanks heaps mate and I got a right angle drill bit and left hand drill bits plus a set of screw extractors hopefully the c\/nt comes out if not box has to come out lol
@ticklemytero7448 Ive since sold this car.. I wouldn’t use rubber in my own car. I bought this car to flip so it was a matter of getting it done and saving a bit of coin in the process.

It’s certainly does, and you save a bloody small fortune doing it yourself as well 😀. Cheers 🍻 🍻.
This is the most Aussie video I've ever seen haha. Thanks mate, thinking about giving it a go on a falcon I have!

Cheers mate. Yep, the dat drove fine without the bump stops in, no issues at all. They always go brittle and fall to pieces.
Cheers for the reply. So sounds like its probably the diff bushes or maybe the shocks. Looks like ill need to take mine out as well
@brendan8322 Loose or buggered shocks can definitely make an annoying knocking noise. Definitely worth checking those out first
