Rally cars tend to have really short and really close ratios because they spend far more time accelerating than they do flat out so you may as well tend your gearbox to slow speed rather than top speed
@@joeogle7729 Yes i hear that Joe but i was watching that day and I think that Mr Kankkunen was traveling a bit quicker than that at the time. Im sure Tony mason was a great co-driver but the commentary between him and Barry Gill left a lot to be desired. 1986 RAC case in point.
Nice video😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Toyota never gave up after years of malfunctions and hardship, they finally got a fast and reliable car. This is some great footage.
You missed out cheating, they were hammered for being found out too.
Amazing years of rallying, this route this rally is the Best in the world. Real rally car and drivers !! 🏁🏁🙌
Roger Clark had the best advise for anyone who wants to win prizes. "they're at the finish". So true
Fantastic, the start of the Impreza and Evo years.
Sad at the end though with both Roger Clark and Steve Lee who have both passed away now.
Great quality. Thanks!
30 years ago we became Toyota Celica world champions
