My mom has the Kärcher window vac, it's pretty cool actually. She also uses it to dry her shower after use to prevent mold.

I have one too, I love using it in my car for the inside of the windows same as in the house so things don’t get wet.

The beeping had me running around the house to see what was on fire. I could've sworn it came from our kitchen. My kitty (fun fact: he looks almost exactly like Joob) was sitting on my laptop and immediately bailed.

I think my biggest tip is when furnishing a whole house, focus on the shapes and silhouettes , where you want things placed then go in and to all the colors and textures. If i had a magic tool that let me rechoose color and texture irl id be such a happy person lol

There were a few changes from HF1 that I quite like but I'm not sure about the Interface for a job being set by room rather than being able to see all the job quest points on one screen. Tbh, wasn't a fan of the phone calls either, but with the DLC from HF1 it was clear they were going to bring in more voice acting :)

i think the makers of the game are european. european houses don't commonly have windows that open out. the windows always open in, usually in 2 ways. either the full open like you did with that bathroom window, or, the one people most often use, the "tilt", where the window only opens at the top, it becomes almost diagonal, thus allowing air in without rain or other stuff being able to come in. i don't remember the last time i saw a window opening outwards

EVAN: Tip to help with back pain while sitting ( I learned this from meditation). If you find a way for your knees to be below the level of your hips. Your spine naturally stacks without strain. If your knees are above ur hips, your back will curve.
Taller people have an issue with this because furniture is not standard to your height.
I wonder if the game is trying to capitalize on the trend of videos about cleaning services for hoarders. I've been seeing a lot of videos where people do that and people find it satisfying.

I liked the first house hunter better because you could choose the houses in different orders, so each yt playthrough wasn't the exact same. Also with the 2nd one you have to play through a lot of houses to unlock the features. I wonder if you can turn off the voice acting too,its kinda distracting. The trash and unpacking is satisfying though.
Three hours of House Flipper 2? Don't mind if I do! (Hey, that rhymes. 😸) Also, I second the Kärcher window vac recommendation, it's great! (We still use a simple squeegee in the shower though.) Fun fact: In German slang "durchkärchern" is a humorous term for cleaning a place thoroughly. It basically translates to "to kärcher trough" and it comes from the brand name.

Finally! I've been waiting for your gameplay
I started House Flipper bc of your streams and I started HF2 too bc of your stream XD.
I love how the story connects HF2 with the previous instalment (parents moving to Moonrise Bay, where we did jobs for HF Luxury DLC and then to Cozy Village from Pets DLC; Meowing Stones are also from Pets DLC) and how stories influence the following ones in this part (we can see June's figurines in other houses; Emma, who's cafe we were cleaning up is the same Emma that moves in with her gf to open cafe in her bookstore).
I highly recommend to check the PS-ish games in the "dungeon" in one of first jobs (they'll probably reemerge somewhere along the game too, but you can't buy them in shop), I almost spit my tea XD.
Also, clearly chat's mostly from US, that is how the real bread looks (in Poland - Frozen District is from Poland). But omg, watching Evan splurge 300 coins on eggs, bread, butter and milk was... unsettling to my hoarding dragon sense.

To be fair to the trash they probably made it more tedious because they made painting and tiling and installing way way easier where the installing is purely quests just to get store discounts to make more profit. As for the before and after photos my wager is that it was probably because it was still a tutorial quest and not an actual flip.

Hard question. The game is newer, consequently unpolished in some ways (save me from the hypersensitive camera in assembly mode), with no DLC expansions out, and is half the file size as the original. Partway through, I really miss the before/after snapshots.
More content will presumably come. Skill progression could use work. Some of the tools should be unlocked with job progression and cost, not experience. I'm missing some of the tools in the original (the window vacuum was fun, though window washing is smoother in HF2). It feels weird using an indoor vacuum cleaner to remove leaves. The flipper eye is convenient but almost feels like hint-cheating even though you need to use it to progress a skill.
Where are the roaches and leaks? Some of the HF1 buildings were a lot more satisfyingly disgusting to pick through. I miss assembling and hooking up appliances and fixtures. Now you just plunk them down wherever. It would be fun if your office and regular jobs had a toggle to enable assembly mode, and with that a "preview" mode for where fixtures are being put before you actually install them. Plumbing and more detailed wiring would have been interesting, fixing bad jobs and making it look pretty. Can turn on the sinks, but not much else. Can't stack items that should be stackable. Bleh.
Putting stuff away on high shelves and cabinets is awful. Have to stand on something. Usually one of the chairs. Ew.
I haven't "built" yet, but I hope there's a good floorplan system and viewer.
Some of the job houses don't make much sense to me. Why are so many bathroom light switches on the outside of the bathroom? Is that just a regional thing? So many walls are missing outlets. Like, not a sparse number of outlets like you'd expect from an old house. Just none, at all.
it is regional. My house is like that (I'm East African) and I've lived in other houses in other countries where that is also a thing (Europe). I can't say if it's a regular thing in those regions but i've literally never seen a light switch inside of a bathroom irl.

They actually have! It was a few years ago, just search for it. They have uncut for sure, and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen edited ones. They are as funny as you think they would be. I often go back to rewatch them just for the laughs.

Technically the two sets of footprints are on top of each other so its more likely that two people separately went to the bathroom at some point in the evening. Based on the blue toilet handprint I would guess that the seat was up for the orange individual who went first then the blue person went in and put the seat down after use. #forensics

Even if the bathroom isn't where you store the toilet paper, you should still always keep one roll of what I dub "emergency toilet paper" in the bathroom somewhere.

I loved HF1, but after buying HF2 and playing 20 hours. I feel like it's a shell of HF1 and regret buying it :(.

Remind me not to ask you over to redecorate my house! Your tastes (even when not in chaos mode) doesn't come close to mine. Um, in the bathroom you need a toilet paper holder, someplace to hang towels and to hang clothes and a small closet to store the TP and towels. The bedroom still needs a closet - not all clothes fit in the dresser. // Regarding bad weather - Muskegon, MI, had 8-10" of snow on Halloween. Lots of power outages, limbs down and other damage. A tree limb fell on the back of a friend's van shortly after she went into the house and damaged the back two doors and hatch (took over a month to get it fixed). I almost had no power - a limb went down across the street; it had a bit of old limb on it (that caught on the line) which held the other end of the limb just on the drive which kept the line from breaking. Since then, we've had about two inches in November and a little bit tonight. The rest of the time the temps varied from 30F to 56F and rain (at least the lakes shouldn't be low in the spring).

I'm torn between whether a square toilet would be unusable, or really comfortable...I'm always a little off kilter on mine, because the cat window-side table perch (for bird watching) is top priority, so one of my legs goes numb after a few minutes. Perhaps square seat, round center? Hmmm... 🤔

At the start of every House Flipper Evan is always very hyper ADHD, doing everything at the same time and Katelyn trying to bring order and a system😂 I love their dynamic.
Okay TP confession time, I've had to text my coworkers while at work to ask them to bring me toilet paper.
Our work bathroom is supposed to be for employees only, but since it's right near the delivery door, a lot of delivery drivers will use it too, and they are NOT considerate about leaving more than two squares of TP on the roll or getting a replacement out of the supply room right next door.
I don't know if someone said this during the stream, but apparently if you want to go straight to builiding and flipping houses from scratch without the tutorials or a clearly set out list of tasks, you should go straight to sandbox mode. That seems like it would fit you guys a lot more
