@@nielsvandenberg9022this guy has clearly never played the first game. There was an automaton boss that was a bigass robot with a tank as it's leg, it had grenade launcher arms and was an absolute unit. Multiple hellbombs wouldn't be able to kill it

Hope more divers learn about the Striders weakspots, especially the one on it´s belly. Got called a hacker and then kicked, because I took one out with my AC XD

This is why I don’t help lower level players. Even on level 9 I still get the occasional hacking accusation because of my high scores 😂
@@crackededge9351seriously, i had 800+ kills in one game and my teammate was accusing me of hacking. He couldn't understand why I had 4x his kills when I had a HMG and mob clear stratagems, and he had anti-armor gear 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️

You don’t even need support weapons, a medium penetration primary like the jar-5 can kill it

Me who uses a HMG support weapon under it's belly, works everytime
Use a spear, take down the cannon back.
Use medium armor pen guns to destroy the two front laser cannon.
You can now ignore it as its been effectively nurtured. Yes it will still produce devastators, but either you can run away and it won't matter because the devs won't chase you, or you are camping an objective or extract, and which case you are probably already swarmed with devs
For future reference: The word you're looking for "neutered". Nurture on the other hand, means "to carefully help & oversee the growth of something, to cultivate"

Factory Striders are basically a mix between the Mammoth MK2/Mastodon And an AT-AT or AT-M6.
Also, Orbital Precision Strike one shots on a direct hit. Then again, it one shots just about everything.

This is false, you hit an already damaged Strider. Striders have more health than the precision strike or even railcannon strike deals.

A well placed Eagle air strike, and an Orbital strike takes these things down like pushing over a toddler.
Yeah if you can gauge the strike run right, you can nail it pretty well with 2 runs, maybe even just 1.
Unfortunately I've seen a lot of people who don't pay attention to what direction the eagle runs go

Before I played hell divers too I played a game called generation zero in which the biggest machines required you to target specific components to make it easier to take them down.
playing against my first factory Strider was a breeze because I used the same patterns To defeat a factory strider as I would with a tank or harvester
Target the weapons, target the armor then the internal components. It Did not stand a chance.
I know generation zero, i wanted to play it, was free on ps plus months ago, but i''m playing so many differebt games lately

My ez take down method with AC or AMR if you prefer is to:
1) take out those mgs first!!
2) if at a distance aim for the eye, AC will knock it out in 6 shots
3) alternatively if close just magdump the belly doors! Even if closed.
Pro-tip: the Jar can belly kill the strider doors closed and all in 1-2 mags just make sure to take out the mgs first as always.
You can also use eagle airstrike if you're flanking them.

Sounds like a lot of extra steps when you can just use 2 500k or 1 well placed 500k. Clock is running striders need to die fast so team can move on
LOTS of 500kg, orbital strikes and EATs.
so i played with Spear lately and it takes me like two to three spear shots to destroy the fabricator strider, one when you target the turret on top and one to two to the head/center mass (depending from which side you are looking at it with the spear)
The helldiver Strider reminds me of the bigger versions of C.L.A.W from CoD Black ops 2.
Yes u can also take out a sigle leg by hitting its shoulder joints with 2-4 EAT-17s. Not sure why its that inconsistent however.

Don’t forget, medium on belly (can be killed with primaries) and medium 2 on eye (can be killed with anything that hurts hulk visors)
I usually just shoot the cannon off, then throughout the game take potshots and throw strategems at it
When I see those things I use the orbital laser, it always works for me.
My dumbass got to a strider under prepared, had to take him down with Eagle Strafing runs and orbital gatling barrages. It took 3-4 barrages and 5 or 6 strafes, but I took that mf down while all his little soldiers tried to save him. I just fought harder, and I know that strider was pissed with his allies incompetence.

It looks like the precursors of the AT-AT
You forgot to mention 2 important things;
The strider can be made practically defenseless by destroying its weapons. The cannon on the back takes 2 rockets of any type, and the chin guns each take one rocket a piece.
On top of that, the HMG emplacement may seem like a poor choice but a short volley into the eye on this oversized bot also takes it out
if in defence missions you can shoot 3 expandable anti tanks at the head to destroy it
Additionally, you can kill it with 1 AMR magazine by shooting at the eye, which is surprisingly easy to do.
Also when it is dropping devastators a little "vent" opens in its back (I call it, the strider's ahole) which can be damaged with impacts, I haven't tested it with a full health strider yet but It seems that 2 EATs here will kill it.
You're also forgetting that the orbital laser can take down a factory Strider and if you have multiple teammates all with orbital lasers you could take down multiple Factory striders undamaged by the way
I think I took one out with a walking barrage, I say luck did that one not me.

I hope one day we helldivers get giant mech walkers like the factory striders. They look like if the AT-TE and AT-AT had a baby... It looks like an AT-TE from the silhouette shadows.
The current fastest way of taking down this hulking beast is to fire all four commando rockets at its weak belly. The commandos blistering fast fire rate will ensure that the strider is down in the literal blink of an eye. Helldivers might consider turning off the tracking feature of they find it challenging to hit all four rockets.
laser cannon the miniguns and then its belly works really well. Laser cannon is goated for automatons
Orbital rail cannon, orbital laser, and a 500kg bomb seem to do the trick.
all you gotta do is use your hellpod, ive pierce right through one of the AT-AT knock offs by using my hellpod when respawning
i just used the orbital high precision strike twice and it worked quite well
That thing looks like the Goliath version of the CLAW from Black ops 2
Orbital precision strike + Eagle air strike is all you need to down factory striders in 4 secs.
my strategy is called "noble 6 sacrafice" i which i run under the thing, call in a 500kg, have it direct impact its face killing it instantly, and most of the time I die in the process, but atleast the strider is gone.
Ps: the striders used to be so much worse when they first came out, there kind of just a shell of their former self
120 barrage killed one but mainly better if you got the ship upgrade to reduce the spread
I haven't encountered any yet, but this'll be good to know when I do, I'll study it well and bring 'em hell!
Question: How effective is the orbital rail strike?
Run under it with your autocannon, keep aiming at the factory door. FOR SUPER EARTH!!!

I think he missed one, unless they change it. It take two quasars shot in the eye slit to kill it.
Use auto canon on the joints to cause it to fall down and explode as well. That one is the easiest in my opinion

I use the railcannon strike to severely weaken the strider.
Ive gone up directly underneath it as its bay opened and was a 1 shot autocanon kill , though ive been away from the game for awhile now die to sony keeping our fellow helldivers away in said regions so dunno if AC dmg changed or striders got buffed.
I fought one right before watching this video, and it was quite the fight! These tactics will certainly help.
3 thermite grenades right where the neck of the strider meets its body is also a weakpoint, the armor is super thin there, but make sure the grenades stick to the underside, the top has too much armor

I saw you guys got some mechs now hopefully by the time i get the game they'll have bigger ones to really even the odds.
Honestly, the belly strat changed the game for me. Literally went from multiple stratigems and heavy fire to take one down to literally just a quick couple shots from a good support weapon.
Dont know if its a glitch but currently hitting its leg joints with a quasar has a random chance of one shotting them… 😅
For me I just like to do an old classic rail canon strike.

Goodness gracious there are far easier ways to get rid of factory striders than this. Laser cannon, autocannon, amr, spam the eye or the silver area, can EASILY kills a strider, just disable the swiss cheeseifiers first. an HMG emplacement can do the exact same, dont over complicate it.

Eliminate strider mission:
Start by dropping on it > Immediately call orbital strike > dive off the strider > enjoy the destruction 💪
It is over in seconds!
Just Spam strategems and let the Destroyer rain hell also works

This is a dumb short, not only does it not include what kills the guns to reduce its biggest threat, it ignores that killing the vents also stops spawns. Also it ignores that any pen 4+ weapon (AMR, AC, LC and up) can kill a factory strider both up through the bottom and through the face plate in a rectangle just around the front main plate, the eye is not special it's just on the weakspot area (the plate also breaks and exposes the entire front face to pen 4 not just the area around it). There are also other weakspots that attack the main healthpool that are less effective, but also an airstrike aimed well can one shot a factory strider too.
What in the wolfenstein the new colossus?
