Covid and Me

  • Hello everyone,
In this video I tell you how I felt last week whilst suffering from Covid.
I tested positive on the 19th March.
I started a cough during the evening which was different to what i normally get.
Day 1 there wasn't any real symptoms, but days 2, 3 and 4 were totally different. I was totally fatigued, No energy at all with a constant cough which gave me a terrible pain in the head.
I was slowly loosing my voice and had a very hoarse throat, I was of my food although I had to eat something due to being type 2 diabetic.
I literally stayed in my chair for 3 days falling asleep quite often as I was so tired.
I got my first negative last Sunday then my second on Monday.
I am going to try and get back to some sort of normality this coming week but tiredness is still an issue, I need to build my energy levels.
I am sure if we were still wearing masks things would be different with the infection rates which are soaring sadly.
If anyone tells you this is just like a bad head cold or flu do not listen to them it is far worse than that for a lot of people.
Take care everyone and stay safe.

Very sorry to hear you have the Cov Kevin. Both my parents have had it the last couple of weeks, my father on his 80th BD which was a shame as we were all looking forward to celebrating, but we all agree after 80 years, it's no problem to delay the celebration a few weeks. They both had heavy cold/flu symtoms, extreme lack of energy on a few days. Thankfully they are both on the mend now. Hope you feel better soon and look forward to your next ramble.🙂

I am so sorry to hear about your patents but pleased to hear they are slowly getting over it.
Yes you are right at 80 a few weeks wont matter, but to protect your family is vital.
I wish them and you all the best.
      Take care.

I hope it clears up for you fairly soon and doesn’t develop further. I had Covid in November and the Docs are sending me to be tested for what they’re calling long Covid. Joint pain, chronic fatigue, no stamina. Do half day light garden work and I need to lie down like I’ve just topped Snowden! Here’s hoping it goes away before too long because I want to feel 57 again, not 97!

I hope it completely goes soon as well.
I do get a tired in the afternoons and the cough comes back a bit.
You are suffering Richard I am really sorry to hear that 😢.
I hope thing start to improve for you very soon.
Off course we have to remember that there are those out there that dismiss covid as being made up and the government have lied about the figures, well I hope they get it and suffer like a lot off us have.
That might seem harsh but they have no idea what they are talking about.
Take care Richard, wishing you a speedy recovery 🙏

Nasal drip can be caused by different things, pollen is one but yes possibly fumes over the years might be a cause?

I have an idea where I caught it, with a virus like this that you can have (so I believe) for 4 or 5 days before testing positive.
My biggest issue at the moment is tiredness that can just suddenly hit you, and it has left me with a bit of a cold.

Sorry to hear you have succumbed. I totally agree with you about mask wearing. It is such a small thing to do but very few are bothering now. I am still being very cautious and socially distancing, wearing my mask and not socialising indoors and trying to restrict use of public transport where I can. Hope you are back out with your camera soon!

Yes stayed safe for 2 years but it got me.
I have at least 2 neighbours that have it sadly.
I am the same as you with wearing a mask. I am socialising more now.
      Take care Jean.

I've got it now for the first time and haven't really had an array of serious symptoms thankfully except for having the worst sore throat of my life... incredibly painful. Hope it goes away soon I've never been in this much pain because of a sore throat.

I am sorry to hear you have got it now 😞.
Luckily I didn't get a sore throat but I have heard of a lot of people that have.
Rest is very important Liam, and keep yourself hydrated.
I have now got a cough that has come back, yesterday wasnt good especially last evening 😒.
I am hoping it isnt long covid, the way I was last evening was long covid symptoms 😢.
