You should have a example of the lures you're talking about. I'm not sure what a flat faced crankbait is. I think you're talking about a lipless but,,,,idk
Flat sided crankbaits. If you look at a normal crankbait, it is fat and wide. Those have a very wide "wiggle" or "wobble" when you reel them back in. You feel lots of thump in your rod. They push a lot of water around and make a lot of commotion in the water. GREAT for active fish. Flat sided crankbaits are much thinner. They have a very tight wiggle and less thump. They are more subtle in their vibration. A fantastic example is the berkley frittside and the strike king chick magnet. There are different models that can go from shallow to 10 feet or so. Old school crankbaits like a rapala shad rap and the bomber flat A also fit the bill. I really like the frittside.
The Berkeley Frittside 5 or 7 is the one you are looking for. Tighter wiggle than a crankbait and very effective in colder water temps. Hope this helps. 👍🇺🇸

Just got my order, appreciate the American made efforts
Thanks Tyler, love these cold water videos. I"m still bass fishing in Indiana.
Hoping to get back to lipless crankbaits. Haven’t fished them in a long time.

Tackle warehouse actually does a pretty decent job with their search engine for products. Perhaps type it in and see what comes up? Best of luck mate!
Thanks Tyler, question for you, that crankbait rod comes up as discontinued.?
Could you have examples for the lures your talking about? That would help me
