    A punch ev user 4 months old at 17k kms, loving every bit of it, mostly run highways a curve ev LR would have been perfect for me, except highway range the punch ev is perfect 👌. Planing to replace my ice creta too with another ev mostly within a year . Ev is the present and the future ..

    • @prashantgangurde
      @prashantgangurde 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@abhijeetgyal Being a tata Tiago owner I found that owning EV wastes a lot of time in charging and maintaining speed. On highway runs and the running cost also becomes same as CNG when compared with charging on charging stations.
      What would you say ?

    • @abhijeetgyal
      @abhijeetgyal 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @prashantgangurde depends on usage, mine works good would have preferred an ev with 350-400 kms real world range line nexon ev 45 or the curve ev 55. But loving my ev wouldn't trade it for ice car ever.

      Bro but you are already paid extra money which you are going to save in future.... Plus after 160000 km battery concern will be there....How would you justify these 2 points... I would appreciate your response.

    • @abhijeetgyal
      @abhijeetgyal 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @humblepawn873 I run 40k kms every year. If it consider a base Creta diesel for 15.5 lakhs at end of 5 years it would cost me 28.5 lakhs for 200k kms considering cost of 6.5rs. a km for fuel plus maintenance. Same for my punch would be 19 lakhs at 2.5 rs a km . Assuming both have a resale value of 5 lakhs after this much running I would still save about 10 lakhs. And I'm not planning to sell at 2 lakhs I'm ready to invest 5-6 lakhs for a new battery and use it for city. An evs smoothness, torque and convenience is unmatched to an ICE. Infact now after 20k kms I feel even if there's no saving in EV still it's a much better tech to use than ice.

    I’ve been using the MG ZS EV for the past three months and have driven 5000 kms, and I must say, the experience has been on another level! The reliability of MG is top-notch - the range they show is spot on, and the charging times are exactly as promised. When I bought this car, everyone was telling me not to go with an EV. I even took test drives of the Seltos and Creta, but after driving the EV, I just didn’t like them. Now, I’ve stopped justifying my choice to friends and family because without experiencing it, they just can’t understand the power and ease of an EV. I drove my father-in-law’s Baleno after driving the ZS EV, and it felt like a bullock cart compared to this EV 🤣.

      See in my case generally I drive 1200 kms in a month but I want XUV with feature pack so I decide to with selto s or Creta but I found if I go with patrol then 10k will be the fuel cost on top of EMI so I choose ZS EV over that because my running cost is almost zero as solar is there at my place.

    Government should think about better public transport options and better connectivity in remote areas also, so that people need not buy their own vehicles. This will reduce traffic issue and helps reducing pollution. But government need taxes every where from people so they don't work towards improving public transport facilities.

    • @Saurabh.P
      @Saurabh.P 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@shridarhs5012 A little bit of Gernal Knowledge will go a along way.
      1. When I say "saving environment" that doesn't mean EVs emit oxygen. It simply means it's much better than ICE in carbon footprints. Even you, me, & all us humans produce CO2. Should we siege to exists? Anything that consumes energy will create pollution.
      1. "As of October 2024, India's renewable energy capacity is 201.45 gigawatts (GW), which is 46.3%"
      2. Coal power plants are way more energy efficient (30%-40%) than individual ICE (16%-25%).
      3. Since they are centrally located, the maintenance, air filtering etc. is extremely easily so energy efficiency is well maintained throughout it's lifespan. About ICE we know very well how badly people maintain Cars. Drive it even when PUC is gone. Will not wonder if for most people the efficiency is below 10%.
      4. Power plants are normally away from the cities but cars produces pollution directly at your door step.
      5. If Lithium is mined, how does petrol come to existence? It is also mined, refined, processed, and transported. And let's not talk about oil spills in oceans.
      6. Once petrol is burned can you recycle it? Lithium cells can be recycled upto 10 times.
      7. EV motors are extremely-extremely energy efficiency as high as 90%. If not, you would have been installing ICE motors in your home's ceiling fan instead of electric motor.

      the top model on road price for nexon petrol manual is 15 lakh, automatic petrol 16.32 lakh and ev with 40kwh battery is 17.14 lakh . if you charge at home you are saving 5 rs per km considering petrol nexon mileage of 16km/l . so your breakeven for manual to ev is 214000/5= 42800km and for automatic to ev 82000/5=16400km . if you want to buy new 46 kwh battery pack at 1810000 on road then add another 20000 km to breakeven.

    I believe you have mentioned the real world problems with driving EVs long distance. 1. Driving above 80kms per hour reduces mileage significantly. 2. Fast chargers not operational. 3. Power outages. 4. No local support for breakdown

      my nexon ev travel 8km on single unit so considering 18-25 rs price it comes to 2.25 - 3 rs per km . but 80% of my drive is with home charging at less then 10 rs per unit so average cost is less then 1.5 rs per km . hybrids do 25km/l so average cost is 4 rs per km and cng lines are painfull .

    • @omkar21345
      @omkar21345 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In total amount GST and other charges are also added + time(it is not just 18-25 rupees). It is the best option when you charge it at home appreciate that. But for fast chargers it approx. same as Hybrid (+much more time is saved). If you don't agree watch videos on fast charges. Watch Gagan choudhary's podcast where he also told same problem.
      They are great I know but you told that CNG has big lines after 1-2 years what about EV's ? That's why I wrote only for highway trips baki ghar ke aas pass evs are best

    • @ramprasad-ue5rz
      @ramprasad-ue5rz 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @omkar21345 GST is there on other cars as well. You also get life tax-free.
      And 1 rs per km is good deal. Future is EV. The charging station provides are increasing day by day with 12000 plus charging stations. One can take decision based on their intellect or else there is always a debate.

    If you’re charging your EV outside, the cost is 3X almost equal to Diesel. Now if you’re talking about cost coverage, you’re paying high upfront cost, and then pay as much as Diesel would cost. Now imagine when would you recover the money if long trips is your thing. You’re not covering the same.

    • @vantintiviseshaalu0924
      @vantintiviseshaalu0924 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You might be paying 400 to 700 based on vehicle capacity but with amount if you use diesel can max run your car for 100 to 140 kms max but with ev you can go above 200 kms onl

      dc charging cost 18-25 rs . ev car does 8 km per unit so price is 2.25-3 rs per km . home charging rate is 1.5 rs km or less. diesel price is 90 rs /km . even if your car have mileage of 20km/l it cost 4.5rs per km how is it same. in cities it will cost 6 rs per km.
