There is an additional problem with Indian competitive exams. The wrong options are not randomly added. The professors who set these questions know where the students can go wrong and reach to a different solution. These solutions are added in options. So if your concepts are little shaken you end up giving wrong answers and in some cases collect negative marks. Knowing this, you end up not attempting the questions for which your concepts are not very clear. Tough indeed.
Just like this option. You can wrongly choose an option to be correct even after solving 90% of the problem correctly, if you make a small mistake in your considerations.
As a guy who passed the JEE Advanced, i would skip that JEE question. You get 2-3 minutes per question in JEE Advanced, so time management can make your break your score.

Yeah he got admitted months earlier in MIT before advance He only gave advance just to see how much worth he is He also confessed getting into IIT Bombay is much harder than getting into MIT
@@mandardahe1999 Practically seeing getting into the MIT with a scholarship would be more hard than IIT. JEE Main and Advanced exams are tough but selection in MIT is more tough. Where there are more facilities, there would be more competition.
@@Jade-ee5gw The selection rate into MIT on average is somewhere between 4.6% and 1.2% whereas admissions into Newer IIT's like Hyderabad and Tirupati begin at a whopping 0.8%. The reason why getting into MIT is hard is that it's not based on academics but on Co-Curricular activities and other factors. I'd say writing the ACT and SAT and getting into MIT is easier than getting into IIT.
Because gaokao has broader scope while JEE has more emphasis or better to say only emphasized math and related pure sciences. So I don't think that there is a need for comparison because the direction and target clearly differ.
Both countries have gone too far in the difficulty I'd say. However, considering the large number of students in both countries, probably hard exam is the only solution to select the best of the best.
The difference between the two exams, is one is for all students in the country, but the others are for selected best students . Also my Chinese friend told me that maths is not the hardest subject, but Physic. I checked out the papers myself, and my mind was blown!
After seeing so many insensitive and ignorant comments on a video made with so much sensibility, I was compelled to point out that the context of both these exams are QUITE different. JEE is for people who wants to join a reputed and government institute of technology, implying that the JEE aspirants are smaller group of students with an almost common aim. As for Gaokao, my knowledge is limited by the TH-cam video which I have seen a month ago, so correct me if I am wrong. It is given by almost all Chinese students graduating from high school, obviously for a reputed institute, but not just for technological institute. It is an exam for admission in any standard university and for any standard stream (I guess you can choose subjects for exams accordingly) Another important difference is that JEE is held in two parts, mains and advanced, for 3 hours each with a gap of several days (even months). Gaokao is held continuously for 2 (maybe 3) days with students giving exams almost 10 hours each day. That's really amazing, being proud of the fact that JEE advanced got tougher question. But please think of the context(and hard work of those students) before commenting something derogatory about gaokao.
Yeah that is what. JEE and Gaokao are very different. Also by seeing one such tough question we can't say it's the toughest exam since usually such questions are meant to be skipped.
I'm watching this video after more than a year after it got uploaded, so, all those comments by immature children are hidden. I'm lucky because i don't have to actually read those cringy comments. Also, to all the Indians, why don't you see that our best universities aren't even in top 150 world's best universities, but, there are 2 chinese universities in the top 25 alone. So, don't be proud, we have to work very hard to catch upto them, and eventually developed countries.
@@ఉత్పాదక24 While I agree with your initial point, as far as I know, the world rankings depend on the kind of Universities, IIT's are only Engineering Institutes, so the number of disciplines they can publish papers or file patents is less. While in an University there are umpteen disciplines of diverse subjects from Arts to all Sciences including Medical degrees. So they are two different things. You can say MIT is the best because inspite of having limited disciplines like IIT's it still ranks so much higher giving a lot more output. On the other hand, your statement could be made against a lot of Universities of India, which don't stand a chance against any other University of the other Economically Powerful countries and also the limited discipline offering IIT's.

Jee Advanced Topper of 2020 chose MIT over IIT...
~ A Jee Aspirant
Yeah he got admitted months earlier in MIT before advance
He only gave advance just to see how much worth he is
He also confessed getting into IIT Bombay is much harder than getting into MIT
@@mandardahe1999 Practically seeing getting into the MIT with a scholarship would be more hard than IIT. JEE Main and Advanced exams are tough but selection in MIT is more tough. Where there are more facilities, there would be more competition.
Because be want to more in research where mit is better than iit bombay
@@Jade-ee5gw The selection rate into MIT on average is somewhere between 4.6% and 1.2% whereas admissions into Newer IIT's like Hyderabad and Tirupati begin at a whopping 0.8%. The reason why getting into MIT is hard is that it's not based on academics but on Co-Curricular activities and other factors. I'd say writing the ACT and SAT and getting into MIT is easier than getting into IIT.
@@Jade-ee5gw you have any idea about the comparative selection rate between the two institutions..mit is nowhere near to iit on that basis
*Understanding the JEE Question was Much difficult than solving the whole problem from GaoKao.*
@@feeeeeeeee2694 Stop saying these things, even India's UPSC exam will be ahead of Gaokaon in scope of subjects.
@@sayakmandal3240 irrelevant comparison...
@@sayakmandal3240 your comparison basically makes no sense.
It is an exam for admission in any standard university and for any standard stream (I guess you can choose subjects for exams accordingly)
Another important difference is that JEE is held in two parts, mains and advanced, for 3 hours each with a gap of several days (even months).
They act like it’s a competition…
In their pride they forget that maybe exams for students who are just out of high school shouldn't be this difficult.

Because ranking is made by western universities. And because of reservation system in India many people fail internal exams inside IITs which reduces their values.
Exactly what i was thinking..... Why
Ranking is also based of funds it is getting, the infrastructure, which lack in indian institutes
