    This particular model is a Fanimation SInger 2, model number 0581598. I am very happy with it (this is my second one I have installed). It has very nice hardware, well put together, remote control, and neither has required balancing. Works great

    I didn’t even open the manual after watching this! One of the best, most thorough tutorials I’ve ever watched.... and that’s a lot! Watched once start to end then again pausing as I went through already pretty much knowing what to do from the first viewing. As you said, it’s pretty much a standard install (I might even say easier than some) except for a few more blades.
    We’ve had installed all of about 3 hours now, but our initial review on the fan is, just wow! Really nice!
    Anyway.... Thank you!!!

    So we just installed this fan but it had the remote configuration. Thank you for this tutorial. Extremely helpful. I wish I would've gotten the design without the control. It made it even harder to put due to all the wires. Your video is a lifesaver.

    Great video thank you for sharing. I have a question about its functionality when you turn on the wall switch. Does the fan go back to the last setting it was on when the switch was turned off (e.g., if the light was on when you turned off the wall switch does the light turn back on when you turn on the wall switch?). This information is important to me because I am looking to replace WiFi dimmer switch I have now with a on/off WiFi switch but I would only do that if it keeps the same settings as when it was turned off.

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I just turned mine to full blast with the light on and flipped the switch. I turned it back on and it went back to the highest setting with the light on, so I’ll say that’s what it does.. unless it changes from being off for a long time. That’s what it just did now

    How is the airflow on this fan at the high speed settings? It looks like you have standard ceiling height and didn’t use the optional longer rods so I was wondering if you were still able to get good airflow? I’ve read on some reviews from Lowe’s on this exact fan that some people were complaining about poor airflow since they didn’t use a longer rod. Thanks for the great video!

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage

      Mine had done that too a few times and I press the stop button, reverse button once the blades have stopped, and sometimes give it a small push in the right direction. If it still fights it and tries to spin the wrong direction, I hit the reverse button again. I have also turned the switch off for power during the process, and then only use the wall switch to turn the fan on and off

      This fan has a remote for the light. If you have a separate switch to control the fan and one For the lights it won’t be used for this fan. This is how to wire it for two switches (so you’ll probably ignore one of the wires) th-cam.com/video/Qt3ESxL6Kkc/w-d-xo.html

      Danny Johnson I know I wouldn’t be able to use the snap in connectors that they give, but I think it may still be possible. So hard to find a ceiling fan that has 5000K color. I just need to figure out what size to buy for that ceiling fan first. Haven’t bought the fan yet so I’ll have to measure it after I buy it. Amazon sells different sizes. My best guess is the 5.5” by looking at it, but I don’t know. Maybe the 4”
