    As someone who has lived in NYC and NJ all his life, would Lynchburg be ideal for me? I'm looking for a more quite, serene life.

      Well I lived in the Bronx for a year and Westchester County NY for 2 years and, in general, I'd say NY and NJ are going to be more "fun" insofar as having more commercial opportunities e.g restaurants, malls, concerts, entertainment in general. However, if you're looking for better cost of living, more nature, quaint / smaller town feel, then Lynchburg would probably be the way to go.
