Even though I didn’t serve in the military many family members did and some spend 30 years plus and some died I’m so greatful for those who fight for our freedom 💯🙏🏾💝
We thank the Vets for their service and how you shaped the world we live in today.
As a veteran, I can say there's probably nothing enjoyable about this trip. I went to Washington for the abortion rally on my trip there I visited all of The monuments to our veterans which sits very near to the Capitol building. All I felt was sadness. In a sense, it is the largest graveyard in our country. It sits at very close proximity to the Capitol building. What made me so sad. I was thinking about all of us regular Americans us working class Americans that have served our country and have paid the ultimate price and yet we have people sitting in the capital that will do nothing nothing to help any of us. It's always about serving their donors, the millionaire class, the billionaire class and has nothing to do with the regular Americans that make this country work. And that saddens me.
For preserving, protecting and defending democracy, for giving of yourselves, you are all owed such a debt of gratitude. We will NOT let you down. We will continue to preserve, protect and defend what you fought for and the gift you gave us all those years ago. Thank you, thank you.💙💙🙏🙏

My father was a world war 2 veteran, but unfortunately died at 65. A close friend of mine diec d a couple years ago he was also a veteran of Korea and Vietnam.
