Thank you Marijke and Mark for sharing your adventure with the world...I got lost on TH-cam during the darkest days of Covid and found your adventure...I saw hope and happy at the horizon , the new sunrise of the day, the beauty of sunset...wishing you health , peace and happiness💌
You would almost forget that there was a life before sailing. We have been sailing a catamaran now close to fulltime since September 2015 when we collected our L39 from Les Sables and sailed her to above the arctic circle in amazing Norway. We’ve seen so many beautiful places and had loads of fun both sailing and at the destinations for about 65.000 miles now. We can only hope there’s plenty more to come ..
Great video again of your Great Circle now completed. I followed you over the years and it has always been delight to enjoy the beautifull images so well edited and with a right choice of sounds and music. Thank you so much for sharing this, it has been Great.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful journey around the world I looked forward to it each week, you both did an awesome job with the filming and capturing your great catamaran in full sail across all the great oceans and seas around the world. Looking forward to seeing where your next adventures or new boat takes you….❤🇦🇺 Thank you 🎉
It has been your way of life though also my way of life to follow you. Sincerely loved the beautiful footage and sound. Wish you a great future and maybe one day back online. ❤
Mark, we found the virtual nightshift while you get some “shut eye” was interesting with the help of Starlink and of course, Nina in Germany. Look forward to following you both as your lives take on a different direction. Thank you both for hours and hours of pure enjoyment following along. Also, we can’t believe it’s been three years…what an achievement for sure!
another faboulus video, thank you so much for. sharing your adventures with us, hope there will be starting annew adventure soon on your new outremer….it will be one of a kind for sure…..
Your determination to conquer oceans and share your adventures is truly inspiring! You bring such courage and enthusiasm to every sailing expedition, turning challenges into triumphs of exploration and discovery. And I'm Floating Village Life.
First we will continue sailing along the Portuguese, Spanish and French coast and we hope to make a final decision on what’s next mid September on the Cannes boat show
Thanks for all your videos. It had been great watching your channel for the past three years. Did you lose your phantom or mavic? So what's next for you guys?
Thanks for another great video! We arrived in Lagos about 2 weeks ago (Atlantic 42 by Chris White, family of 4, Starry Night) where you headed to this season?
@CatGreatcircle we are loving it after our first ocean crossing. SxM to Horta to Punto Delgada to Lagos. We have a 8 yr old and a 13 yr old. They are loving it here after all the sailing some marina time.
We are always looking for an optimum between comfort, performance and sorry to say also looks. I don’t think we will look for something more performant than the 55 except for the fact that bigger might always be a bit faster but again with more comfort as well.
Depending on the final choice of the new boat but we would very much like that. We hope to be able to make a decision before or at the Cannes boat show
@@CatGreatcircle honestly, for as much as you fly the drone, especially underway... many others have a much worse loss rate. That isn't too bad. There have been lots of great shots.
I have been following you guys on and off since you lunched Cat Greatcircle. I know your carbon fiber cross beam and forward beam broke. Do you have any plans to replace carbon fiber again? Is there any noticeable difference between carbon fiber vs fiber glass in terms of speed of the boat?
Yes in LGM they will apparently put a new carbon cross on. I don’t think performance wise there’s a big difference apart from the size of the sails but it REALLY looks good 😇

Sorry I wasn’t able to maintain the weekly schedule lately but it felt silly to cut them in two
@@CatGreatcircle it was almost weekly a few gaps but I enjoyed it anyways, I wasn’t really counting…😂❤️
Have not watched you two in a long time - the journey has made you fit and happy looking!
Very true

Love the pace and editing of your films.
You’ve been watching them for quite some time now, thx!

The Mavic….
Another great video, are you writing a book about your adventures?
merci

We are on our way to the Cannes Boat Show to show how the boat looks after 40.000 nm and 3 years. The hand over is end of September.
Lagos is nice isn’t it?

What direction are you going with the new boat? Performance or more comfort? Would do one more round? I like your taste in music.

@@CatGreatcircle Thank you. I wish you the best.
So what comes next? I've seen Greatcircle is up for sale.
Interested in adding a screen to my Outremer. What model LG Screen do you have onboard?
LG 34WN700 ultrawide
Thank you!
Are you going to film the journey to get the new boat? If so I'm watching 😊
Depending on the final choice of the new boat but we would very much like that. We hope to be able to make a decision before or at the Cannes boat show
What happens now… any plans?
We hope to find out in the next 3 months
Great video.
What was it you said at 27m that would be illegal to put in the water ?
Cheers
Apparently pingers (ultrasonic device supposedly keeping orcas away) in portugal and Spain
How many drones you lose or fatally damage during the circumnavigation?
2. One technically after the end of the rally and one was caught by a wave flying too low in Nuku Hiva
@@CatGreatcircle honestly, for as much as you fly the drone, especially underway... many others have a much worse loss rate. That isn't too bad. There have been lots of great shots.
Why are you selling your outremer 55?
She was sold 5 years ago, the day we bought her. Discussing the next boat as we speak.
😀😀😀👍👍👍❤❤❤

Back to the start then, not in your country but in your religion
