How do you learn to recognize and spell the word? Is this only for speaking or do you also learn to read and write the word?

Words are embedded in the brain as they see a picture on a card. Flip over the card to see the Spanish word, its pronunciation, and English translation. There is audio to make sure pronunciation is correct. It is mostly interactive in level 1, with the grammar starting in level 2.

😄That's a great question! On the back of every flashcard, you will see the Spanish word or phrase, the English translation. At the end of most lessons, the family is prompted to have "older students" flip the cards over and use them as copy work. In addition, we have the Spanish Fun Activity Calendar that Rainbow Resource Carries, and I offer a lot of bilingual book suggestions from the library or from my own website to supplement your learning! But YES- you CAN learn to read and write Spanish with SiSi - you just don't HAVE to be able to read to learn to speak Spanish - just like you learned your first language. 🤩

There’s actually quite a bit of grammar learned in the first level- it’s just learned naturally as you go, rather than being the focus of the lesson. (Just like we learn our first language!) ❤

Fantastic!! I have been exploring your program, Senora Gose, for awhile now. I have a student who would thrive with this type of learning. ❤
