Every battle with a Glaive, especially when you've mastered it, is like a deadly dance. It's what makes this weapon so fun to use. From a fellow Glaive hunter, I salute you, sir.
As a hh main I can't figure this weapon out even if my life depended on it but that doesn't mean I don't love the fellow hunters who identifies as apache helicopters
Teostra: I am a giant flying manticore that commands flames and explosions. Hunter: I got a stick with a knife duct taped to it and a butterfly. Let's do this.
Man, y'all missing out. I 100% recommend Insect Glaive. Slap some Constitution +3-5 on your standard blademaster set (AB, CB, WEx, etc), slide your skills around to get perfect affinity (not difficult w Narga glaive's comfy comfy 40% affinity), and go clean house. I love aerial IG. It's my favorite weapon and playstyle, and it's not even remotely close.
Man I swear theres nothing more satisfying than getting the KO/head break/tail cut with the final dive slam. You land with such for that breaking something with it just feels right.
Finally, my main the Insect Glaive. I have been waiting for this for a very long time. Never has the ground looked so unappealing. Rathalos got nothing on the real king of the skies.
For those that don't understand. IG has a special mechanic (new to Rise) that if you jump as many times as you can in the air then does a wirebug dive, this move dish out the most damage possible. Damage is proportional to how many time you bounced. The max is three.
Im new to the series. Picked up dual blade for the first 10 hours, which are fun, but seem a bit more limiting in terms of mobility that what I would have expected. So I went to the training range and tried new things. As soon as I saw the insect glaive was entirely based on being in the air, I fell in love.
I’d consider myself pretty good at IG but I still didn’t know that you could aim where you launched yourself when using midair moves. You learn something new everyday
Charge blade looks complicated but it's actually not because everything flows into eachother Insect Glaive looks complicated but it's actually is complicated, because everything also flows into eachother but it doesn't at the same time
Gorgeous as always! I just go back into IG and this is a really inspiring video :) It’s super interesting to see how you use advancing roundslash, I’ll have to give it a shot!
I just started playing monster hunter rise for the first time ever playing a MH game and I absolutely fell in love with the Insect glaive, it reminds me of legend of Dragoon when they turn into dragoons and do their full combo. So badass. At first I was confused and thought it was a shit until I figured out how to string together the air combos and then recently unlocked the wire bug finisher.
Ya know what, ya know what. You’ve inspired me to go back to my roots in world, be one with the bug and stick. I thank you. This was a beautiful video. Keep it up
I'm a master at hammer, great sword and switch axe user. I've never tried Insect Glaive before maybe I'll give it a try, it looks beautiful and satisfying to watch 💙
What’s most upsetting about this is knowing 95% of what’s shown in this vid won’t exist in the next game without wire bugs which is a shame because no other weapon benefitted from reinventing itself as much as glaive did
I usually only pick up the bug stick when I’m playing it with a team of four the the ol’ powder boom strat. I laugh every single time I see one of those explosions hit about as hard, if not harder than what a Greatsword can. But just like with every weapon you’ve done a video on, you make me instantly want to pick it up for myself because of the example you set
YUUUUSSSS Warriors Orochi 3 is the *BEST* musou game to date, even better than its direct sequel! Ayane, Ryu, Kasumi, and the rest of the Gaiden crew are so much fun to play in that game! Great montague too, I see you are the true Legend of Dragoon!
i tend to use the powder vortex alot, especially with that new deco gem that they added, it boosts all damage from your kinsect. feels like im playing some kind of explosion mage, build up atleast 2 clouds and explode 💥
Insect Glaive was the first weapon I really started using when I began in World, and ever since then, Insect Glaive has been my main weapon of choice. Sure I've picked up other weapons later on, I play a little bit of everything now, but when I'm playing seriously, I always go back to Glaive. It's what I beat Alatreon with, it's what I beat Fatalis with, it's what I beat the HR Challenge Valstrax with, and it's what I use whenever a monster gives me trouble with another weapon.
Thanks ! I almost always play without HUD because I'm afraid I would waste some good clips ahah, The only exceptions are when I learn a weapon at the beginning or when I discover a new monster ;)
After commenting on a previous video and seeing the clip from tiktok, I am so happy to finally see how beautiful this weapon is. Thank you for this masterpiece! Also, do you color grade your videos? The colors seem so much crisper than the actual game
I also use insect glaive but im not even close to know how to do all of that flying almost non stop. Would be nice to see some sort of tutorial to learn how to do the same.
Man I can't wait for PS Sunbreak in 4 days! I loved the new Switch Skills they added but didn't play much Insect Glaive on Switch. Definitely gonna put a lot more time into it on PS4!
Beautiful but when I try this I get slapped down the air like a fly, one day I'll be this cool and good for now I'll be an annoying mosquito flying in the air but with no grace.
That's really good. What skill sets do you have equipped? I just discovered Insect glaive a couple days ago and I love it. It's so much more fun than any other weapon when you get the hang of it. Dual blades Aerial style is my second favorite.
I'll be honest here. In mh4u I mained insect glaive and chargeblade. When mhgen was released I mained adept longsword aswell as aerial insect glaive and it took awhile to use the insect glaive with aerial in an effective way. During world I fucking didn't understand how to do any of the aerial shit and now with rise I'm even more clueless so I'm just gonna say it, you whipper snappers and your fancy spinning around in the air. Back in my day our strongest attack was a 3 button combo loop on the ground!
I think you are talking about the advancing roundslash? it works pretty much like a parry: if you time it with the monster's attack you will be launched in the air with 1 "charge" of diving wyvern
Monster: Starts flying.
Helicopter glaive user: Fool. Let me show you who owns the skies.
" The skies belong to me.
Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide "
This one made me laugh 😂
Ig: starts flying
Tigrex: *spinning on ground* Fool, let me show you who owns the sky
"The only man in the sky is me."
“Only I can fly high enough!”
“I’ll chase the skies over Kamura!!!”
Once you master insect glaive, it really does feel like a majestic dance every fight.
Once you master great sword there is no fight
Once you master longsword you become anime
Once u master gunlance you become a Risen Valstrax
Every weapon mastered Is awesome 💞
Once You master Heavy Bowgun, You become a living tank
Once you master lance, the monsters can’t hit you
Every battle with a Glaive, especially when you've mastered it, is like a deadly dance. It's what makes this weapon so fun to use. From a fellow Glaive hunter, I salute you, sir.
This is what i imagine the dragoons in final fantasy should feel/look like in an action setting. So majestic.
YES. I want a Kain outfit so badly
@@JaekizationI'm sure you could make a reasonable facsimile with the right layered armors.
Any monster: Flies
Me, an IG main: Rookie mistake
As a ig main I’ve been waiting for this one
Beautiful
Same
Same
Same !! And that video was Insane
So much style! I won't even attempt the harder monsters with Insect Glaive but it's a treat to watch someone that can.
Yep, this is it. This is the video that'll get me into the insect glaive 😂
I agree. Haven't touched it yet in Risebreak.
+1 highly recommended, I wish I didn't wait so long to try it. They did a really nice job with glaive in Sunbreak. My main now 🚁
Man I swear theres nothing more satisfying than getting the KO/head break/tail cut with the final dive slam. You land with such for that breaking something with it just feels right.
I've been an IG main since its debut in 4U. The skies are too addictive
IG is my second weapon and I love it. You make everything look so majestic, professional, and flawless. Don't stop doing what you're doing
Thanks !
Im new to the series. Picked up dual blade for the first 10 hours, which are fun, but seem a bit more limiting in terms of mobility that what I would have expected. So I went to the training range and tried new things. As soon as I saw the insect glaive was entirely based on being in the air, I fell in love.
This was my story in mhw ✊
I’d consider myself pretty good at IG but I still didn’t know that you could aim where you launched yourself when using midair moves. You learn something new everyday
It’s a very powerful move considering you can also get your extracts by launching yourself at the correct parts
You considered wrong
It takes practice, but you'll get it eventually
But that's half the fun, avoiding any attack with careful spacing! Try it against Teostra, it's especially fun to mess with him.
Always love it when Wyvern Dive connects.
flash bombs? nah, a bug and a stick is all we need.
Haven't played Sunbreak in a while but seeing you with my favorite weapon makes me want to get into it again!
"We gotta repel Bazelgeuse with a weapon. Let me knock him down with the ballista."
"No need."
"I AM THE TRUE KING OF THE SKIES NOT YOU WINGED REPTILE!" - Me every time I fight any kind of Rathalos and Rathian with the Insect Glaive
Charge blade looks complicated but it's actually not because everything flows into eachother
Insect Glaive looks complicated but it's actually is complicated, because everything also flows into eachother but it doesn't at the same time
mhw insect glaive: 50% air, 50% land.
mhr insect glaive: 100% AIR
Air's now optimal ;)
I have been waiting for this one for so long.
I am finally made whole.
My main weapon finally got a “beautiful” video, the way you use it is so majestic, you humbled the rathalos and showed him who dominates the skies
this video really just shows how much of the "rise is ugly" argument is contributed to by the MASSIVE ui
Insect Glaiver: *flys
Any airborne monsters: Chuckles, I'm in danger!
I feel so powerful using the IG, killing every base game and MR monsters first try but then I use any other weapon and get humbled real quick
Gound dancing can be beautiful as well. It's hard to tell its beauty when dancing in between to legs of your foe.
No words. Simply amazing.
Thanks !
Gorgeous as always! I just go back into IG and this is a really inspiring video :)
It’s super interesting to see how you use advancing roundslash, I’ll have to give it a shot!
Insect glaive in sunbreak tu5 feels a bit like MH4. Just fuck you're attack I'm on the z-axis
I just started playing monster hunter rise for the first time ever playing a MH game and I absolutely fell in love with the Insect glaive, it reminds me of legend of Dragoon when they turn into dragoons and do their full combo. So badass. At first I was confused and thought it was a shit until I figured out how to string together the air combos and then recently unlocked the wire bug finisher.
i just started playing with insect glaive yesterday night and it freaking amazed me!!! demm this thing is sick
My dream has came true thank you for fulfilling it
I could always tell that it was the coolest weapon in the game...I just lack the dexterity to do all the cool stuff with it.
Damn, whatever weapon it is, it looks cool when you use it
Ya know what, ya know what. You’ve inspired me to go back to my roots in world, be one with the bug and stick. I thank you. This was a beautiful video. Keep it up
Thanks !
I love leaping over attacks lol Super satisfying to do. Kickass showcase
I'm a master at hammer, great sword and switch axe user. I've never tried Insect Glaive before maybe I'll give it a try, it looks beautiful and satisfying to watch 💙
What’s most upsetting about this is knowing 95% of what’s shown in this vid won’t exist in the next game without wire bugs which is a shame because no other weapon benefitted from reinventing itself as much as glaive did
So sick. Love it mate.
A true master of the 3D space. I tip my hat to you as a fellow IG main.
Choosing an Assist Type Kinsect really added to the feel of grace that You showcased
I usually only pick up the bug stick when I’m playing it with a team of four the the ol’ powder boom strat. I love the funny Bug Stick 👍🏻 Good vid!
Simply waited for this.
You are the real flying wyvern here
YUUUUSSSS Warriors Orochi 3 is the *BEST* musou game to date, even better than its direct sequel! Ayane, Ryu, Kasumi, and the rest of the Gaiden crew are so much fun to play in that game!
Great montague too, I see you are the true Legend of Dragoon!
Don't forget Momiji best girl ! ;)
As a kid i always had dreams of flying. Even now at 30 and found out why when i played MHG... i am an IG main!
As an insect glaive main, I respect you used Dead or Alive ost for this video.
yes finaallyy my favorite weapon thank you mikaa , great gameplay as always
i tend to use the powder vortex alot, especially with that new deco gem that they added, it boosts all damage from your kinsect. feels like im playing some kind of explosion mage, build up atleast 2 clouds and explode 💥
Incest Glaive is the scariest flying wyvern, glad I'll never have to cart from it.
Diving wyvern go brrrrrrr
as a db main who just always flies around with demon flight i am now a ig main
It's crazy how good you are with so many weapons
Just a lot of practice !
As a fellow glaive user, I could not agree more!
Man I swear we need a video just covering your layered sets since they're all fire XD
Thanks ! ahah I think you can make most of them with Droth / Kulu Yaku / Baggi / Espinas / Lecturer boots ;)
Cool edit
I have a question, how did u draw your character?
I mean the channel avatar
I commissioned an artist to draw her, if you scroll on my twitter, you can find her name
Insect Glaive main here, that was a beautiful showcase of this bug stick
Insect Glaive was the first weapon I really started using when I began in World, and ever since then, Insect Glaive has been my main weapon of choice. Sure I've picked up other weapons later on, I play a little bit of everything now, but when I'm playing seriously, I always go back to Glaive. It's what I beat Alatreon with, it's what I beat Fatalis with, it's what I beat the HR Challenge Valstrax with, and it's what I use whenever a monster gives me trouble with another weapon.
So, I played through all of Rise and Sunbreak using Insect Glaive. This video made me think to myself, "Damn, I really suck at Insect Glaive."
My first main weapon right here
LEEEET'S GOOOOOOOOO FINALLY ITS HEREE
oh hello beautiful.. i've only ever played world and i main ig on there, but holy hell this is just incredible
I am obsessed with your videos! When you record, do you just turn the entire HUD and damage tracking off?? 💜
Thanks !
I almost always play without HUD because I'm afraid I would waste some good clips ahah,
The only exceptions are when I learn a weapon at the beginning or when I discover a new monster ;)
After commenting on a previous video and seeing the clip from tiktok, I am so happy to finally see how beautiful this weapon is. Thank you for this masterpiece! Also, do you color grade your videos? The colors seem so much crisper than the actual game
I think so too, it must be color graded.
Thanks !
There's not color editing, these are all raw footages
Can't deny the Coolness of the Insect Glaive
Yo that warriors orochi ost coming through. I recognized it as soon as you put it on.
As a IG main,yes it's very good
Like you mix LS with DB and then also HH and boom! There's IG
In other action games, you juggle the enemies in the air. In Monster Hunter, you juggle yourself.
as an IG main, man this is beautiful
subscribed youuu
Thanks !
Damage? SpeedRun? Nope! Beautiful and Stylish!
Insect Glaive is that kind of weapon that is easy to use, but if used right, it can be hella satisfying to just hit something out of the sky.
Insect glaive main here, I approve of this video
What Build did u use? :D
Looks amazing!
A bit complicated, I used a lot of different builds and some clips were even recorded at TU0 so it changed a lot :/
I main IG on mhw but I am trying to use GS in MHR its so tricky for me but I do love using the IG. Maybe I should stick to what I know x
LOVE insect glaive but i wish we could have layered armor for the kinsects :(
yeah same ahah
Good montage, good editing as usual.
Also it's about time for another bowgun vid
I would love kind of spear or just glaive only weapon, idk how I feel about literral bug hmm, but maybe its fun
I feel the same ahah
I also use insect glaive but im not even close to know how to do all of that flying almost non stop. Would be nice to see some sort of tutorial to learn how to do the same.
Sorry but I am actually very bad at making tutorial ahah.
Man I can't wait for PS Sunbreak in 4 days! I loved the new Switch Skills they added but didn't play much Insect Glaive on Switch. Definitely gonna put a lot more time into it on PS4!
Enjoy !
@@Mikarai I definitely will! I put about 350 hours into Rise/Sunbreak on Switch, and already another roughly 200 on PS4!
I havent played IG since 4U, this is making me want to try it out again lol.
How is IG in sunbreak? Haven't touched it yet but Im starting to want to play more weapons
I would say that It's pretty good but it doesn't fit everyone
Absolutely stunning😮😮😮
What switch skills do u have
Beautiful but when I try this I get slapped down the air like a fly, one day I'll be this cool and good for now I'll be an annoying mosquito flying in the air but with no grace.

I hope they incorporate these mechanics in wilds when it releases next year! *Fingers crossed*
Dancing in the sky~
Your brain is so big when it comes to making these fights beautiful. I wonder how Hunting Horn might work if you do it.

Man i have prob 3k+ hours in glaive and im still learning stuff
Amazing work ! What Armor and weapon are you using ?
A lot of different armors and weapons ! I tend to adapt for every matchup
@@Mikarai ok, thx for answering me !
Receiving a insect glaive: take this and be a helicopter
Years ago I declared this as my favorite weapon… and yet I haven’t put down the fucking longsword…
Are you getting s with a certain silkbind skill?? I love IG but am such a novice with it atm lol
Yeah Recall Kinsect do gives s
I think you are talking about the advancing roundslash? it works pretty much like a parry: if you time it with the monster's attack you will be launched in the air with 1 "charge" of diving wyvern
I'd love to see how beautiful you'll make sword and shield next.
I've already done it ! Check my videos page ;)
Oh. I'm sorry. 😂 I found it too.
