I get a good chunk of my books from little free libraries along with the actual library, but I have found Devil in the Dark Water, Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Daisy Jones and the Six, Agatha Christie and more in them!
As long as you never declutter Scooby Doo !!!! He looks adorable in the shelf with the mystery machine picture ….. takes me back to my childhood in the 60’s ❤

I really liked 4 out of ten 8 mysteries in Peter Swanson’s Rules for perfect murders….I liked The Red House Mystery, Deathtrap, Malice Aforethought, and The ABC Murders. I read the other four, didn’t care for them, but have them in a stack anyway because they remind me of that reading experience which was quite fun!
The Man in Lower Ten and The Circular Staircase by Mary Roberts Rinehart would be a better spot to start. You definitely want to read The Red House Mystery by A.A. Milne right away.

I love unhaul videos! There are some Little Free Libraries in my area but they are all overflowing with books so there is never room to leave any there which is a good thing.
Loved this! Little free libraries are brilliant, especially those which are obviously cared for. I live in Croatia 75% of the time and free little libraries here are a thing here, thankfully. But the vast majority of books are naturally in Croatian and as a Canadian the language is very, very challenge to read with any consistency...let alone with comprehension. Sometimes I pick up children's books as they have pictures. 😊 Not a fan of paranormal or supernatural. Just not my wheelhouse. Have you read Mary Roberts Rinehart's The Circular Staircase? One of my favourites by her. Happy birthday from one March girl to another! 🎉

I do occasionally see a book in English which is great for tourists and Croats who speak English. My physical library here is tiny compared with my 1,200 books in Canada. But traveling with a kindle is so much easier than hauling books from hither to yon.
I really want to read a great cozy mystery, because i need a break from the violence of thrillers after i recently was traumatized by a plotline. 🤦 But i want a great one and I would really like to avoid a series. Can you give me your number one recommendation?

I love my local free little libraries! I check them out every couple of days and find a gem every once in a while. There are a lot in my area

Most of the LFLs around me are filled with kids’ popfiction. I’d loved to find some like the ones you came across! 😍
I hope you do! I usually avoid any by schools or community centers because they tend to be mostly kids' books, but it can be hit or miss 😊
