If you want sharp landscape or portrait when you don’t care about bokeh, keep your aperture at f9-f11. That would cut down on chromatic apparition and soft focus on more 3 dimensional objects
chromatic abberation* but definitely. too many people make the mistake of keeping their aperture too wide because they're using primes not realizing that images lose sharpness the wider the aperture gets.
Great tip! A key bit you missed is to ensure the focus setting is AF-C (C for continuous). Handheld shots are also generally sharper at over 1/250s, but the higher the better if you have the light available - e.g. over 1/500s outside
Or just be good with manual focus, I can focus very fast with a manual lens, I am used to a camera that doesn't have any automatic things except a light meter
Sharp images are dependant on shutter speed, depth of field and amount of noise. in other words, shutter, f-stop and iso. go ahead and try that focus with 1s or iso16000 or F0.95 and tell me how sharp your images are....
@@michaelguy00777 If you are impressed by someone telling you that the key to sharp images is to focus, then I have another good nugget of wisdom for you. The key to getting images from your camera, is to put a memory card in it! So clutch! Game changing! Amazing! Wow! 🤩 🖕
Hmmmm. I use full manual settings in every shoot, whether streets or events. The best way is not to shoot on the largest aperture. Bokeh doesn't really matter
im still runing Sony a6000 + Sigma 50 1.4 ;] yes, all photos even street photo i perform on 50 :D Some fotographers look at me as for murder ^,^ butr my camera have not this option ;x
shit, ive been shooting manual for4 years. and AF just feels like shit after watching this video. and i dont mean to insult. it(AF) just simply felt lime this all of a sudden.
Uhhh, okay? You shoot manual, you reject progress, fine. Any camera made in the last 20 years will focus faster than you and do autoexposure spot on 9 times out of 10. There are issues with this video, and it's not the autofocus, lol.
@@kirya312 yeah, i know wider focus area means still using AF but what im trying to say is literally i shoot F2. 8 or T1. 5 on a cine lens, and i nail 7/10 of the shots, expose properly, (definitely slower than a 10/10 nailed shots if compared to AF shooters) but my point being is, if you read it carefully. i was talking baout the feeling of using AF, WOULD feel shitty because of the muscle memory you would develop thru the years. some shots, badly done, but turns out wonderful with the flaw. again, not to insult. also, shooting manual is the progress after starting out on auto everything, is it not? shooting manual is so beautiful. especially if you shoot RAW/sLOG3 on a sony, which (unfortunately) means i have to expose 2 stops higher most of the time, and nail focus at the same time. you get to experiment, have fun, get scared, and continue.
If it is tracking so good why you need move focus point on the frame? You are wasting your time. It is so much better to have at least 2 focus modes handy all the time, for example: - wide area with object / tracking with shutter button - central real time tracking with focus hold button assigned for example to af-on button
How about you actually read a manual for your camera before you go and take people's money to make subpar photos of what may be their once in a lifetime experience?
Ok… so just focus on the subject. Got it!
Exactly. Such great knowledge.

You shouldn't stop the lens down too much, though. If you do, diffraction will make you loose a little bit of sharpness.
Imagine taking portrait photos without Bokeh.
Gromatic abominations. What a weird video, just rtfm.
Facts 👍🏾
The secret is that you have an a9ii
Combined with G Master lens. You can shoot hand held for a full minute and get sharp image.

for canon Users.. on EOS DSLR lineup...(NOT MIRRORLESS)
For me
go for AI Servo focus(Non live view)
THANK YOU
bless
How do you make sure non live view?
@@BaileesPaige that live view im referring is only on Canon DSLR not mirrorless
@@jeredE99 I see, thank you for the clarification!!
Never take camera advice from someone who posts mirrored footage.
U can make it focus on the eye without doing any of this but this can come in handy with things without eyes
So clutch! 📸🤟🏾
Thank you! Just got the A7iv and was wondering how to do this. Awesome content 🔥
Failing focus on a mirrorless camera? That's just funny
Lol
Or turn on animal eye af and have an easy life. 😊
Disclaimer: Works only on supported cameras.
Or just be good with manual focus, I can focus very fast with a manual lens, I am used to a camera that doesn't have any automatic things except a light meter
can you get it on sony a7 1?

That’s good but u don’t need to use the joystick , just put your target in the center … then track … and shoot !!! 🎉
Plz show end result of puppy 😢
Never seen a YNOS camera before. Very cool!
How you di this in fuji
Wow, is that the new camera brand people have been talking about? YNOS
its the foremost knowledge any photographer should have and it have taken her a year for it
Oooh wow…. The secret to sharp photos is to focus good… oooh wow! How amazing! cRiSpY sHaRp images. OoOoOoOoh such deep knowledge.
She’s sharing knowledge, good man. Do you share any knowledge for your fellow TH-camrs? By the sound of your sentence, I think probably not.

What about a canon eos r?
love your suggestion by this is Russel from BD. Im a full fresh begginer in a sony zv e10 with 16-50camera. want to learn more from you.
I have the same camera and lens, and I am also a beginner. Se ding you so much luck!
Like 5K of reflex and no knowing that you need to take focus on something if you want focus image. Lol.
Thank you
Good call!
Where can I get one of them YNOZ's?
Me focusing manually on my Zenit 11 :O
Hmmmm. I use full manual settings in every shoot, whether streets or events. The best way is not to shoot on the largest aperture. Bokeh doesn't really matter
so nice for you that you have camara of the gods.
Shooting a year without a single sharp image? Learn when to quit is helpful…
ok thats dope
Yes
Sharp in focus is overrated. Master the blur
Let me try this on my 1958 Nikon F
Tq
You learned this after a year of photography?
Nice
shiny!
Want sharp photos? Hold your camera *with 2 hands!*

A good tip, but not for "sharp photos every time". BTW I'm on a DSLR and use the center focus point (no tracking) 99% of time
I love your videos so much😄
thank you! :)
Yeah but imagine doing this with sports
I'm a Canon user..do none of these Sony cameras have touch screens?
They do, but the joystick is much more fun and practical than tapping the screen all the time.
Yes I have the a7iii and occasionally use the touch screen to refocus but prefer using the joystick.

Some shots the right way round , some reversed, needs to do this right first
the best way to fix that is to trash that Sony - just kidding -
Naaa focusing isn’t the key to sharp images

Why so?
