When you tried not to be desperate to fit in and act normally like a human being amongst the friends with common interests only to shunned you away when they pretended not to be friends with you anymore until it became permanent and I haven’t really done anything to destroy maybe I do maybe I’m not

It's arrogance to stop paying for everything and they're always there ready to take and not even chip in to treat. If that is being arrogant count me in. I didn't study, save and invest to spend my cash on those I've watch blow their's away. You can't be arrogant with what you've earned. Ending someone taking advantage of you is protecting yourself.
I found my close friends brought me down when I improved my career, love life, bank, and life in general while they stayed the same. I cut them off right away and it was the best decision I ever made so far in life.

Most of my frienships have faded away just because I feel like we are on different paths. For instance most of them were involved or still are involved in some sort of criminal activities. Plus some of them have stolen and taken advantage of me. Most of them I grew up with but we have grown apart. Also our conversations aren't the same. Lots of reasons but I now want new friends who are going where I'm going.
I had this experience in my early 20's. I was more career minded and wanted to be decent, whereas some of my mates were still causing trouble and just not going to settle down. You will grow to be more like the 5 people you most hang out with.
I am torn into pieces because of this😞 I hope I will get over this and become happy again. Relationships and friendships are the worst things as much as it feels good.

People in my friends circle either have kids or they move out of state. Some friends cut everybody off and focus on priorities like school, family, career or finances. Some friendships begin at work and you have things in common at the workplace until you see who they really are out of work, or one of you gets fired or quits the job and you no longer keep in contact
I faded from friends I thought I'd have forever. When I stand back and reexamine what happened, I realize, our core values were never aligned to begin with.
especially when you are hated by a lot of people and your best friend is loved by all. They’ll never get why. But hurts them. To think someone who they think is so perfect could be Best Friends with someone deemed bad.

Facts, it’s just tough to hangout when our main hobbies are completely different than when we was teenagers. If we don’t share a similar mindset then it’s just kinda like what are we doing? Things change unfortunately.
For some reason a lot of my friends have faded away since I’ve entered my 30s. I have not made any new ones. I have about 4 close friends and I am okay with it. I am an introvert anyway. Dealing with people (myself included) can be a hassle.
Im with my bestfriend from the preschool till now, and we run a business together, and we still close like day 1, he is more hard working than me and everyday im glad to be have him on my side

My friendships faded away because the pandemic made them depressed, I joined the military and cause the other reasons in this video. It all taught me you really have to be your own best friend, because people will always come and go.
A therapist once told me there can be levels of friendship. Some who you can hang out with level but nothing more. Some seen in group social settings only level. Some who are bosom buddies tried and true forever level. Not all friends have to be super close to you. And hopefully, you are choosing wisely who you let into the inner sanctum and who you don't!

When you are no longer equal with them financially they will fade away; even if all other aspects of your lives are the same.

If I learn to live on a budget to accumulate enough money for investments and they choose to buy what's in fashion who's fault is that? I had one friend that had a good job and stayed at home. He lost that job when the company's owner closed it and retired. Yet he didn't save even $ 1,000 after 12 years. When I was putting one of my coops up for sale he got upset because he wanted me to rent it to him because he didn't want to stay at home anymore. I told him I couldn't rent it to him because he couldn't afford the rent (mortgage plus maintenance). He said I was being stingy. I said matters of money are business and it was in my best interest to sell and run to the bank. He watched me level up and he choose to stagnate. I have no obligation to carry him, the obligation is his responsibility for his future. It's called personal responsibility. Yes, I miss him and our discussions and debates, but I'm more proud of the day I realized I didn't need to work to survive and with exception of investing in the stock market my time is all mine to do whatever I reasonably want to. Money is no longer a concern. To take a phrase from Alux, I enjoy sending my little soldiers out to bring back recruits.
The reason why my friendships with my childhood friends ended it was because I was the butt of.jokes for them. So slowly I realized how toxic they were and just left. Now they are trying to take the relationship back but Idc
I had some great long term friendships and we used to meet up every weekend to chill out at home. Gaming, takeaway, movies, parties. It was awesome for 20 years. Then your friend breaks up with their partner and this impacts your relationship and changes things so much that the same happens to me. I still had the guys as friends, but alas after a silly disagreement one of them moved on, another completely ghosted the whole group one day and disappeared, another one of 30 years - we just grew completely different, and another guy we had an argument (my fault) and we've not spoken since (and I cannot fix it, yet. But we may be two different people now anyway). Now a few years on from that group all splitting up, I massively felt the impact and loneliness. You have to learn to build a different life for yourself, learn and move on.
Man that sounds bad, but it seems you and all your friends just went in different directions and what you value now isn’t what they value. I have a similar situation, one of my close friends since 05 middle school days started acting different, just you know real negative, I went to visit him last year and he just complained like wow you couldn’t get a better rental car, or wow you gained a few extra pounds and muscle and wow you should go to this party. It’s just hater stuff, never once said damn glad you came through. Man gone are the days of us just playing the 360 online together. It just seems we went in a different direction like your situation because when I was out the visit we just argue about what we find of value, that’s when I knew we just won’t ever be close again.
I believe also that some people have a role in our life, and after fulfillment, they just disappear. Sometimes We want them to stay, but unfortunately that’s not their purpose…Nothing against ourselves, is just unknowingly they finished their purpose.
Thank you for this. I from a cultural background where the importance is family. My parents were always that’s a stranger when I would make a friendship so that is most likely factored to why I never had friends. Since I didn’t have a sister I thought I was going to be lucky in the friendship department but no never me. It’s tough coming from a marginalized background because I missed out on friendship social experiences. One thing I wish I could have as a life experience was serve as being a bridesmaid to a dear friend unfortunately I will never get that experience to all those out there having friends please cherish those experiences and never take them for granted.
I think you are LUCKY you didn’t have the experience of being a bridesmaid. I want to tell you that when I was younger I was asked to be a bridesmaid 7 times. I did it for all those who asked me. I bought the dress and the shoes and all that plus gave big checks to each bride as my wedding gift to them. So not one of these people even knows I’m alive now. I wish I never did it. Be glad you never were a bridesmaid.

@@bcasa3376 I’m so glad I was able to share my experience. I’m in a kind of crisis the last couple of weeks. I’ve had 3 friendships end, and with girlfriends I’ve had for a long time. But one of them only wanted to email but I wanted to talk on the phone every now and then. She wouldn’t and I didn’t hear her voice for the last 2 years. And another one, my very closest friend, got a boyfriend two months ago and never contacted me again, and we spoke every day. When I turned on my I pad and saw this video, I swear it had my name on it! I did get a lot out of this video. Such as sometimes a friendship is for “ a season”, as the narrator said. Maybe that’s what my friendships were, maybe they were there for a season and not meant to be forever. I am so hurt, but I’m going to try to move on. I wish you the best, and hope you’re doing ok ❤️

Over 40years of friendship when my former bestie decided to become a "Cougar" after meeting her Landlord and sexing him on the very first day. Even friendships need to be formed with effort and commitment. Your friends can be your best allies or worst enemies and if a friendship has faded away it wasn't worth keeping and it's time to move forward. One should always keep track, take good care of his /her friends and organize frequent meetings (now zoom or skype calls will do). My point is friendships WIll fade away on there that's life but we have the option to make them last forever.
Two of the best people I ever met were friends for a season (literally a year). I never saw them again and I would love to hang out with them for just an hour.
I've had seasonal friends and longterm confidants. The latter are true friends;but being raised that its boosting to discuss what success one has, my true friends became uncomfortable around me. When I purchased my first coop apartment I never told them I owned it so they thought I rented. Frankly it was never talked about. When I later bought a house and then retired shortly after, we discuss how I did this. They became uncomfortable realizing I'm on a different financial level than they are. It's not that they aren't financially successful, just not financially independent. I think ones success should have been at the top of your list so that those who follow your channel can be aware and prepared for the reaction those close to them may have. It's not that these individuals aren't still my friends; but my purchasing 4 Burmese cats to run around my new house or installing a jacuzzi bathtub aren't things they can relate too.
Most friendships are conditional. A friendship with a dog is unconditional. A dog is going to love you no matter what. Humans are only friends under conditional reasons.
I met a guy friend online. We had problems from week one. And 3 months on all we have ever done was arguments and disagreements or not seeing eye to eye. I think we r 2 different ppl. I haven't made any new friends since I left high school. I still have the same two friends from high school. Of course not sure if I would still consider one of them a friend since I haven't seen them since 2013.
Your two sentences have hit home for me. I’ve been very down in the dumps as 3 friendships ended recently for me, with 3 girlfriends and I feel so abandoned and alone but maybe their lives have changed and they don’t know wheee to put me now. But I can’t help the feelings of loss.
Right, priorities change, people got work, kids, significant others, people move, or just people have completely different views on life which makes people separate. Nothing will be like the good ol days.

Mostly me. When you grow up with different life experiences then other people you can't really relate to them. I'm a very unrelatable person. It's kind of like being a different species sometimes. I can relate to people sometimes but then I'm also different sometimes. While I'm human I feel like a human from another planet. We have some things in common but we're not quite the same.
A friend always wanted "deep conversation" but preached thinking for myself / yourself. Also he expected feedback when I would have to think something over. If i had input it was cross examined so i felt like my mind was being hijacked. Sometimes I revel in meditative silence. Thank you for great vids Alux!

Talk about timing... most of my friendships faded away due to me being the only one putting in effort, my personal growth and just their jealousy.

I believe also that some people have a role in our life, and after fulfillment, they just disappear. Sometimes We want them to stay, but unfortunately that’s not their purpose…Nothing against ourselves, is just unknowingly they finished their purpose.
Thank you for this. I from a cultural background where the importance is family. My parents were always that’s a stranger when I would make a friendship so that is most likely factored to why I never had friends. Since I didn’t have a sister I thought I was going to be lucky in the friendship department but no never me. It’s tough coming from a marginalized background because I missed out on friendship social experiences. One thing I wish I could have as a life experience was serve as being a bridesmaid to a dear friend unfortunately I will never get that experience to all those out there having friends please cherish those experiences and never take them for granted.

I think you are LUCKY you didn’t have the experience of being a bridesmaid. I want to tell you that when I was younger I was asked to be a bridesmaid 7 times. I did it for all those who asked me. I bought the dress and the shoes and all that plus gave big checks to each bride as my wedding gift to them. So not one of these people even knows I’m alive now. I wish I never did it. Be glad you never were a bridesmaid.

@@bcasa3376 I’m so glad I was able to share my experience. I’m in a kind of crisis the last couple of weeks. I’ve had 3 friendships end, and with girlfriends I’ve had for a long time. But one of them only wanted to email but I wanted to talk on the phone every now and then. She wouldn’t and I didn’t hear her voice for the last 2 years. And another one, my very closest friend, got a boyfriend two months ago and never contacted me again, and we spoke every day. When I turned on my I pad and saw this video, I swear it had my name on it! I did get a lot out of this video. Such as sometimes a friendship is for “ a season”, as the narrator said. Maybe that’s what my friendships were, maybe they were there for a season and not meant to be forever. I am so hurt, but I’m going to try to move on. I wish you the best, and hope you’re doing ok ❤️

Falling in love with a friend was a big one for me. We couldn’t handle how much the dynamic changed. It’s something friends need to think about before trying.

Over 40years of friendship when my former bestie decided to become a "Cougar" after meeting her Landlord and sexing him on the very first day. She's so in love with this boy yes boy cause he's the same age as our sons. I've told her that he was messing with two other ladies within the complex but she ended our friendship to be "somewhat" with a player.
I think Alux touched on this but I would add that a significant other might not like your friends as a reason for a friendship to fade away.

Even friendships need to be formed with effort and commitment. Your friends can be your best allies or worst enemies and if a friendship has faded away it wasn't worth keeping and it's time to move forward. One should always keep track, take good care of his /her friends and organize frequent meetings (now zoom or skype calls will do). My point is friendships WIll fade away on there that's life but we have the option to make them last forever.
Two of the best people I ever met were friends for a season (literally a year). I never saw them again and I would love to hang out with them for just an hour.

I've had seasonal friends and longterm confidants. The latter are true friends;but being raised that its boosting to discuss what success one has, my true friends became uncomfortable around me. When I purchased my first coop apartment I never told them I owned it so they thought I rented. Frankly it was never talked about. When I later bought a house and then retired shortly after, we discuss how I did this. They became uncomfortable realizing I'm on a different financial level than they are. It's not that they aren't financially successful, just not financially independent. I think ones success should have been at the top of your list so that those who follow your channel can be aware and prepared for the reaction those close to them may have. It's not that these individuals aren't still my friends; but my purchasing 4 Burmese cats to run around my new house or installing a jacuzzi bathtub aren't things they can relate too.

MONEY can definitely be another reason why not only friendships fade away but a prime example of some f-word losers using you and taking advantage of you.
I would rather be a billionaire twenty times over, travel the world, pay for the company of beautiful women for one-night stands and still be a recluse than having f-word losers as so-called friends just hanging out with me because of money.
JEALOUSY indeed is a great reason why friendships fade away quickly, especially if I had a girlfriend, chances are I would hate HER friends too.

Everything has a cycle even friendships. Life changes for people. They move they get jobs with different time schedules and things just don’t match.
Your two sentences have hit home for me. I’ve been very down in the dumps as 3 friendships ended recently for me, with 3 girlfriends and I feel so abandoned and alone but maybe their lives have changed and they don’t know wheee to put me now. But I can’t help the feelings of loss.
Right, priorities change, people got work, kids, significant others, people move, or just people have completely different views on life which makes people separate. Nothing will be like the good ol days.
I had to cut off friends because they were unlucky and unhappy. They tried to put me down when I was doing fairly well with my career and life in general.

Well I can definitely relate to point 3rd
A friend always wanted "deep conversation" but preached thinking for myself / yourself. Also he expected feedback when I would have to think something over. I can say I only have few friends through my years, and it’s ok.
Something on this list that relate to one friend that I have arguments with not communication I'm always doing the connecting or afterwards reaching out never give heads up always disappears in the middle of a conversation.
Maybe ask yourself, when you become financially independent is this someone you'd want in your life.
