Hi there, we don't have any additional insulation between the wall and the carpet. We fit diesel heaters for anyone who wants to use the campervan in colder weather.

Had our van a year from camperking (T6.1 with diesel heater) , used in Oct,Jan, Feb and Mar months and toasty warm. Carpet never felt cold or damp, like all van condensation to manage on windows. kept decent airflow with cab windows cracked open, small dehumidifier and usb fans and not much to clear off .For the cab/windscreen found an outside cover working better than the inside for cold months.I wondered about the no insulation when buying but really it’s been fine. Only issues have been with a VW dealer nr Heathrow on a recall and the fun approach VW take towards not documenting fuses. Should add, went for the thermal cover on the pop top and it does help in cold weather or very hot with keeping a comfortable temp.
