In this video we set off on a short backpacking trip to deep lake in the Gifford Pinchot national forest to meet up with some friends for a chill night by the lake. We took the Indian Heaven trail about 5 miles up to a ridge. It was a pretty steep hike for the first 2 miles, and was relatively flat for the last 3. Definitely worth the trip! Thanks Courtney! Y'all absolutely should!! Backpacking is what got us into overlanding and dispersed camping, it's a very rewarding way of travel
@@ScaleofTwo I'd actually never camped before we started overlanding, so if I can do that I think I could do backpacking and I absolutely love hiking!
Y'all use AllTrails? That's usually how we find our backpacking trails, easy to filter by difficulty / miles / etc.
