Thu, Oct 6, 2016
The Crop Duster is Roadkill's back-to-basics street and strip machine with big-block power. In this episode, you'll see it run in the 11s for the first time and make its quickest quarter-mile run ever--and that's in no-prep track conditions--after David Freiburger and Steve Dulcich rework the suspension and hack 100 pounds out of the car. The engine currently in the Crop Duster is a 508hp, 395ci big-block that runs on 91-octane pump gas. The transmission is a TCI Torqueflite 727, and the rearend carries 4.10 gears.

I love that Dulcich is just okay with this show being at his home.
Thank you, Dulcich.
he looks and sounds similar to my close mate Sean .
steve is the car guy's car guy. he has such a passion for this stuff!
I like Dulcich, he has a good flare and he takes all the ribbing from everyone else.
An eccentric for sure. But an endearing one. 😁
In the 80’s if you saw a car roll by with centerlines….. you knew that dude had a good job. They were serious “racing” wheels! 👍🏼
For Mopar guys Dulcich is the car pal we all want as a neighbor....
Steve would NEVER run out of beer if I was his neighbor. And I'm not even a MOPAR guy.
Love this show almost as good as the original roadkill
Dulcich is like "Fuck yeah, I'll take this car." 11 second Duster he poured a lot of sweat equity into and it's just offered up? You bet. I'd take that car in a cold minute.
I sure do miss my 71 4 speed Duster. It was only a 318 but it was so much fun banging gears.
I had a 318 with 3 speed manual on the floor. I put 3" tail pipes and a huge cam.(Stock 2bl carb, no headers) Sounded bitchin. Looked bitchin. I installed a big monster tach on dash with redline set at 6800. All a bluff. It worked. Lol
The Bodacious Buds do IT' Again.
Getting rid of "all kinds of bad" so nice.😍
Im a Crager guy. Those gray ET's looked really good on certain color of cars.
I had a good friend, he had a 69 Cornet that was built up and used to out-run alot of policr. Hos last warning was to move to another county. Anyway he had ETmags on it and one morning after getting chased he felt a looseness in the back end. He'd busted the centers out of his mags. From then on Centerline wheels. This all took place 35 plus years ago and he ran Centerlines till the day he died. 3 years ago, Covid 2 days before Christmas.
About one tenth saved per 100 lbs. Holds true.
Thank you.
bring it back on youtube)
3:08 thank GOD, they re-branded those great aluminum jacks as DAYTONA🏎
I remember back in the late 70s and through the 80s we were able to get ratio specific front shocks. For drag racing I always went with 90/10 fronts. Are those types of shocks with ratios still used. (90/10 equaled 90 down and 10-up so the front end would raise easy and settle back slowly.
Steve center lines👍
what's with the outro
center lines oh yeah
I'm with Steve on the Cragers - at least on the duster.
Freiburger owns long pants and tennis shoes?...
He's getting old and soft. LOL.
Yess❤❤❤
Centerlines 👍
OK, we need a new show..."Dulcich's Drive"
I think it is to throw utube algorithms off cause it doesn't have the usual ending, this is pirated content.
Do A Maverick! 👍
Only in California do you wear flip flops and loafers in a shop…
Does QA1sponser, Roadkill????? I wish you guys would use affordable parts.
The centerlines look way better
Steve is the coolest!! ( frydburger ) needs some humble pie. The celebrity status has him thinking prople are groveling🙄. Just be a car guy and stop disrespecting everyone. “Summers Eve😂
What's with that bullshit at around the 25 minute mark?
the channel is a bootleg i believe.
You guy's destroy car's in way's I've never seen before! i e the rear leaf springs 😅. And I've been around the block a few times and seen some Stupid sh!t!😅
Love,love the Crop Duster!
Respect 🫡
I loved this era 11 seconds. You kids have no idea how hard it was to make things go back in the day of no Internet. Information.
Been building and racing old iron since the 1980s myself. Drag radials being invented were a GODSEND for a dual-purpose car. Aftermarket aluminum heads that flow a TON more than stock castings (and are somewhat affordable to the do-it-yourselfer) was another big improvement. Everything else just kinda slowly evolved better in little tiny steps. Cams, intakes, torque converters, etc. Honorable mention to the Performer RPM intake which just flat-out WORKS on almost any muscle car engine, regardless of brand, on a "daily driver" street car.
