I just got the Viper weapons from Vanguard, and the model you have pics of is not the model that actually drops. Unless the off-hand weapon is bugged, which it looks like it may be.

@@ThePhookas Actually, looking at the model more closely I see what's happened - the left hand is using the Tropaios Saberfangs model but with the texture of the Vanguard weapon over it.

These sets looks really good and i do love the weps, i only wish they were universal gear (especially the fending stuff) for some good glammour
they usually make them available down the road but will be put in pvp reward no time limit, but we have to wait around either 1 or 2 years, reason for the wait is because they want to slowly feed us content
giving viera bunny ears on helmet is the most respectful thing they've done to the race
Yeah. It makes it feel a little better, considering they removed tails for the same sets. T_T
To quickly obtain these items, use the Trust System instead of a player group. This guarantees you a piece of the armor set for the job you used during the run upon completion. The system always provides a piece you don't already possess, whether in your armory chest or inventory. Be sure to check your inventory if your armory chest is full. This includes accessories and weapons.
It didn’t take long to fully kit out my PLD & RPR xD
Leveling dungeons always gives you a piece you don't already own regardless of whether you use the trust system or not.
This Dungeon does go really fast, tbh, so it's worth doing the Trust for. As long as you're careful, you can get your tank to wall-to-wall every mob pack.
Does this work the same on duty support?
Is the same system used in Destiny exotic quests

Man, I wish the Caster/Healer mask was also for the scouting/striking gear.... would love a mask like that, for them, one of these days.
Caster/healer yet again getting a kitsune mask instead of samurai or ninja(og is from a pvp set)
Casting should have swapped with scouting
@Saito86 honestly yea, they should have. Really looks like the Casting should've been the Scouting, and vice versa, in hindsight.

For future viper showcase I believe the victory or battle ready emote will put the two blades together to show off how that looks.
You can use both. Battle Stance merges two swords, and Victory flips them back into 2 separate swords. Just start up the emote and move a bit. What's sad to me is that Square didn't make a "change pose" stance when You have them merged.

These gearsets are great, but it drives me crazy when SE makes the armor dyeable but not the weapons, or vice versa.
probably because armor being dyed is far more pronounced than most weapons. unless its a massive brick of weapon like the WAR axes, you can barely tell there was a color change when dyed.
@@Shiirow nah fam that makes no sense. Same can be said about gloves in that case.
Most likely the dyeable version is gonna be a grind reward, crafted/raid version, or worse, ffxiv online shop. It's to incentivize players to play and populate a game content longer

If you dye the fending set black, the pinkish purple fits *really* well with the final stage Manderville relic weapons.
I don't mind not having the caps for my Viera, but I want those glasses/shades WITHOUT the face mask!
Sick of tanks getting the best glam in every expansion, but at least whm isn't in another robe/dress this time. Small victories!
Can confirm 6/20 of my glamour plates are for my tanks.

I was today years old when i noticed that female GNB idle stance is Lighting's battle Stance from FFXIII
That bard bow looks like something from Warframe. I guess I might need to farm vangaurd just for the style.

No caps for the bunnies and cats, that's pretty crazy at the point into the game.
still baffles me the devs design 2 races that are harder to add additional coding to. Lion race head is too big, so all hairstyles and headwear need extra resizing to fit on it. While rabbit race, the height of their ears, need to refit headwear. Meanwhile cat race ears, and au ra race side horns, zero issues for hairstyles and headwear.

The worst is that the community already solved that problem ages ago. I really dont know how this is still aceptable ftom SquareEnix. Thats why I cant stand to play the bunnies ir lions😅
I'm not surprised considering how lazy and uninspired they were with female hrothgar. All it is is male rothgar but standing tall and skinny. Doesn't look feminine at all I went back to Bunny
Even Pedofells get custom made stuff to suit their dumb shaped heads, but real races don't. That's why I say fuck what the devs say, mod the shit out of the game and be proud.

These sets especially the melee sets give me Tron: Legacy vibes. Like people doing Tron faction and CLU faction as glamours (Tanks and DRG/RPR) The other sets give off Jet Set Radio Future
God I wish they'd allowed weapon dyeing for these... I want to match the black/purple aesthetic!!

Very similar styled weapons that are dark purple matching perfectly which I’m going to use for my viper outfit
Agreed! I ended up farming a bunch of poetics to get the last relic weapon to fit with it. Thankfully it is super quick to farm with poetics!

Just had to look before I committed to glam farming this dungeon and definitely need the scouting and aiming gear
I wish the fending and maiming helmet face screens were the second dye slot. It'd be so much fun to be able to have different colored face screens with your friends.
Props for getting all the gear it’s a heard grind. Second for everyone that wants a black/dark purple esthetic I suggest using the level 98 gear located in the next city after this dungeon

I assume its the program they are using to view the sets as the SGE weapons in game are correct.
Nice showcase, and gpod job grinding the full set and weapons! Btw, in the chapters PLD is not capitalized, and the Sage acronym is wrong (supposed to be SGE)

we can tell what it is meant to dye because it works on the scouting set.

Technically excellent and some pieces like the cyberfox mask and some of the weapons are amazing. Not super my cup of tea for all classes but will definitely have an audience.

idk i don’t really like mechanical or high tech looking weapons and armor. i would never use any of the weapons as a glam, but some of the sets are cute

Its always so disappointing that machinist usually has such cool weapons but the tool box always stays the same 😢. Like they noted how for picto theyd make sure the paint palette would change with the weapon, why cant we get that kinda love for us gunslingers 😭

AST with built in Clipping is insane how much they didnt even pay attention to that.
I love the Vanguard sets. I think my biggest disappointment is the visor toggle for the caster masks. I was half expecting them to be pushed to the side like the white/black moogle masks on the mogstore, or the PvP fox mask glam.
At the least I hoped the lower half of the mask was removed so it would keep the fox aesthetic. Instead it deletes the upper half and turns itself into a generic looking facemask.
I doubt Square will do anything to change this but one can hope :' )

@ThePhookas nah, it was the casting headgear shown here, so unless there's a different one that's just the lower and not the upper.
Last stage of the relic EW weapons should look good on this set. Ill prolly use the top piece with the EW weapon and mix other parts into it

As a person usually only love medieval designs, these sets actually won my heart! I just hope the healer/caster head piece with visor they remove the mask instead of the wolf head!

these sets make me wish there was a way to switch the hat part on and off like visors, cuz i love the masks but dont care for the baseball caps. maybe when they finally give viera and hrothgar full headgear access theyll make the edited versions toggleable for everybody? i can dream.

Managed to get several pieces from doing solo with duty support. But weapons and minion only drop in actually dungeon with real players

it seems like the viper left handed weapon has the right textures but on the wrong model, cause looking at those blades in game, both weapons are identical to the version in the right hand

I've ran this 7 times so far, sage is currently 93, and the only two jobs I can run it as is dancer and smn (not running on sch) but every single time the sage weapon dropped, there was a sage
Guarantee you, when I run it as sage, sage weapon won't ever drop
It is the wae. When I was spamming kiteosis/vanaspati for the viper weapons I had to get every single piece of guaranteed loot before the weapons finally dropped and it was brutal. Had to do it with trusts too so it was extra slow.
Basically the patented desire sensor is back in business, and to add to that clearly sages really like the weapon. Oddly enough I've only seen like 3 sages so far in all the dungeons I've done and I'm level 98 now so you must have gotten super lucky recently to incur this fallback lol
rng is a cruel mistress. every single msq dungeon i ran save for the last one gave me only the singular guaranteed role-appropriate gear piece and no more. it gave me SO MANY healing pieces, but table scraps for the role i was actually playing
PSA, not sure what the deal with the VPR weapons is but BOTH the VPR swords are the one that they put over their shoulder in the actual game.
The clipping on the AST weapon chagned from 5* to 3* :(
I’m kinda disappointed they didn’t take the opportunity to create some kind of tablet for SCH/SMN books. The old Grimoire Wing from the FFXIII collab is still the only one that exists that resembles that. C’mon Square! 😂
They put in mass amounts of clipping hairstyes, shoulderpads, and other tripe but not viera hats from the NEWEST content. What in the fk man!
