Great video!! I went out Thursday and the one bait I should've thrown was the lipless. It was a perfect day for it with it being so windy. Need to make a trip to Arkansas happen after the new year. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I have so much to be thankful for and I owe it all to the Almighty! Keep up the hard work.
😂 i genuinely laughed at that star wars comment! I just bought my niece and nephew lightsabers from saberforge for Christmas! Tomorrow is my last day to fish for bass 🇨🇦❤wish me luck 🍀 🎣
I would also add a blade bait to the mix, very similar to a lipless but without the rattles, lots of vibration though. Hey Jimi, what weight are you primarily using for jigs, that one you showed looked pretty heavy, 5/8 or 3/4oz?
I have a few people that tell me they love the blade baits. I have not had the success with them and maybe because we do not get as cold as water or it is just me. I do prefer 1/2 to 5/8 oz jigs for this time of year. I am primarily going to fish them deep.
@ well let me give you some confidence buddy it was my first time using a lipless crankbait 😂😂 but basically it was a small crankbait around 1 1/2 inch and I would cast it let it sink and just retrieve at a medium slow speed make sure you feel the bottom. But not too slow so you don't snag the bottom.
@@AcevesFishing oh word, yeah I got a hit or two like that once. But when I was first using it, I was giving some time before setting the hook like you would a finesse bait. I came to learn later than when you feel the bump to just try to side sweep them because the treble might sink even on a less committed bite. I'll get em next time
If I am fishing shallow rocky areas / transition spots. I throw it up near the edge of bank. Reel it pretty fast. Now when water temps go below 50. I slow it down. Back off the bank. Depends on cover. I am going to have a lipless video come out next week
Do you ever use the suspending rat-l-trap I love em 95% of the people don’t even know they have em I fish stump felids with em. You kill it right over a big hollow cypress stump they come out and kill it

Went fishing this morning before even the video came out used a lipless crankbait cuz why not and absolutely killed it in the water 🎣🐠
Sweet! Glad to hear
What's your retrieve for cold water? Lipless crank is the opposite of a confidence bait for me lol.

So I tried them one winter a few years back. I was not a fan/ did not have luck. What brand would you recommend?
