I tried this after seeing you did it. and I succeeded Albiet if you never told me about Jaina's Goldmine I wouldn't be able to do it. I first got all the gold but keeping in no upkeep with Mass towers. I had 3 grunts that dealt with Catapults. And honestly the easier side is the Right side not the Left. You can destroy the 3 production buildings and then after they launch an army you can just continously send them Grunts until they buckle over. Maybe with some better micro management you could save a lot of Gold but I couldn't do that. Finally I attacked from the right side rather than the bottom. Attacking from the Right side on the Left side of the base gives a much better reach. I first massed towers and baited there units after they launched an attack then I launched my own attack. I had also built 6 Barracks right before Grom so i could continously funnel Grunts into there Base and it worked. I did run out of Money so you need a bit of Luck and Hope that the Infernals do Not start attacking your new base. I used Pillage to get enough Money to build a Great Hall. Finish of the rest of the enemies and started killing everything else on the map. If you retain no Upkeep I had about 75k Gold. But it requires a bit of annoying micromanagement. However yes it is possible to destroy every base on the map. and I had to use the extra 6k gold that was left by the right side of the base. I had a ton of fun. I don't really do challenge runs. I thought this was easy But God was I wrong.

I struggled hard to just clear the way to grom, so clearing off every enemy from the map is an insane achievement!
@@redwings13400 The Tower Defense Strategy I guess I should Explain a little bit as well. I essentially put towers around the Great Hall and the castle. This means they will attack the great hall and you don't need to worry about the attacking in a direction that you don't get because because all your towers are clumped up together they will help each other regardless of which direction they come from. This is the most useful to protect Jaina's castle. 2 length towers covering 3 sides of the Castle. can stop 2 infernals and 2 attacks at the same time. I will now try the Undead Frozen throne mission. I want to destroy all the bases over there as well.
At 0:40, you forgot a centaur which the trolls have most likely killed. I'm not saying you failed the challenge because it's just a minor oversight, but if I were you, my face would melt from sheer embarrassment.
Lol! You're right! I should have had the trolls attack each other! It was a bit of an awkward situation because my grunts were just running through the map and I didn't want to stop, but you aren't wrong.

I mean if you could go back and do it, it wouldn't be any of a challenge(kill the trolls/send them to the corner and then have the grunts kill the centaur) so I think it's more than fair to chalk it up to a small error. I tried a deathless run once and I'm still giving myself finger cramps by trying to micro my army to not lose a single unit to this day.

Today I was thoroughly embarrassed! :) Congrats on trying a deathless run! I've never tried one, but I imagine its super hard! Its interesting comparing my run with the dealthless run because they required completely different mindsets. Grant kinda needed to rush to win with perfect micro before the enemy built up too much, while my run was a massive grind and a ridiculous test of patience.
Grom remembers in Warraft II he was also a grunt... yeah I love how basic Warcraft II was compared to III :D In Wc2 the heroes where only basic Units, with a different Teamcolor, when it comes to look.
In pretty much all respects, Warcraft 3 is the superior game to Warcraft 2, but there's a certain charm about WC2 that makes it a ton of fun to play for me! I don't have any specific plans for it now, but I could see myself visiting that game in a future video!

lol! Group projects are tough. When I was a student I always wanted to contribute in them, but sometimes my procrastination meant I'd really stress out the rest of my group because I'd leave it all to the last minute. I'd usually get it done in the end, but sometimes the rest of my group would just get it done before I start and then I'd feel terrible because I ended up being completely useless for the project. As a teacher now its interesting seeing it from the other side. Good luck!
You need more production value, here some suggestions, quick and easy, that will make you audio better and make the video FEEL better, and make more people stay to watch your full videos: Reduce the gain, or move a bit away from the mic, it will make the sound less distorted (some videos are very hard to understand because of that distortion) Create a "anti-peh" filter, or so called pop-shield, there are tutorials online, for example one from ElectroBoom, it will reduce the unwanted noises Go in audacity (it's free) and remove ALL the lipsmacks and lip noises and background buzzing noises. You can do it manually, but there are tutorials online for doing it automatically and remove most of them Lastly, as a suggestion, learn to scan words more and better, sometimes you rush a bit and eat your own words, making very hard to understand some sentences.
Yeah, I can see what you mean with all of that. Recording unfortunately is the part I like the least of this process, so sometimes I can rush things there and its been the part of the process I've been most reluctant to learn. These are definitely good ideas, so I'll look in to all of it for my next video. Hmmm... I downloaded Audacity per your suggestion, so hopefully that helps. My recording setup is ridiculously basic, in this video I was using my computer mic and the default voice recording app, and in recent videos, I got a new mic but still used the default voice recording app. I don't think you would hear any mouse clicks from when I start recording, because I usually wait a few seconds to start talking after I start recording (and I edit that part out), then don't have my hands on the mouse or screen while I'm recording. That said, it honestly could be anything. I don't have a great or even consistent recording setup, so... I dunno, footsteps? Air conditioning? Maybe my cat water fountain? Computer fan? Regardless, there are a bunch of sources of low level background noise I could probably do a better job filtering out, so I'll play around with Audacity for future videos and see what I can do.
I was wondering how the grunts would do given they are probably the best pure stats-wise of the basic units. And this is about what I thought would happen. Strong early game with chaos orcs being a nightmare (considering they were just using grunts but stronger, it's not too much of a surprise) This was great to watch. Night elves are next. On the one hand, they are ranged and can shadowmeld. On the other hand, Archimonde. That level should be an interesting one. Good luck! Side question, are you planning on doing The Frozen Throne as well? Just curious.
I'll try to go as far as I can in the campaign. However, frozen throne is a pretty massive difficulty jump from reign of chaos, and there are some levels in roc that border on impossible already, so... If I stop uploading this series for a while, you can probably make an educated guess as to what's happening. I am terrified of frozen throne. :p

Pretty much lol. Chaos orcs are so hard to fight with only basic units. Its just everything they have, from all their movement crippling abilities, to spiked barricades, to insane stats, to orc burrows hiding their peons, to chaos damage, to the passive infernal aoe damage... Everything they have hardcounters grunts. That level was such a painful slog.
There’s actually a cheese strat in chapter 2 with the caravan, the caravan is scripted to only move forward with thrall to certain checkpoints and there is two points in the map where if you stand thrall still, there is no attack waves spawning and the caravan stops First one is really early in the level too, once you get thrall to that spot and hold position him you can clear the whole map with grunts by using fountains of healing for recovery and slowly peeling the towers down
Ooohhh, that’s brilliant! I had no idea there was a spot that paused attack waves, that’s insane! If I ever do a corrections video I’ll definitely try that out and give you credit for this strat!
@@redwings13400 Yee it’s surprising on the wiki for the mission under strategy, the spot is shortly after the first oasis… I had to use it to complete the mission for my own basic unit only run I did a while ago, the mission took ages killing everything with just orcs besides the harpies that I had to use thrall for but it is all possible (even harpies you could potentially just have the caravan run past)
I was using patch 1.26. As for getting the original game, I don't remember specifically what I did, but basically I googled it and followed instructions until it worked. :)
I do have 1.26 patch of the game that my brother got cracked since something like 2003, it never get updated since Bnet doesn't work, though the issue is that there isn't RoC executable. I don't recall how it happened but this issue is way pre-reforged. But thanks to show that RoC executable is possible in 2023!. @@redwings13400

Hard. Always the hardest in game difficulty at fastest game speed unless I say otherwise. Definitely something I should have mentioned though! :)

Since you’re using grunts, you could’ve just researched pillage. That would’ve made this a bit easier given the situations you’ve encountered.
I did research pillage in basically every mission it was available in, but it only gives so much money, and I needed a lotttt of it.
