  • Typically we're showing pretty radical custom built vehicles which we love. But we also have appreciation for simple, well built vehicles that are built to drive. This car is built to drive. With the engine, transmission & rear end from a 2014 Mustang and a few other items, this car is just a blast to drive.
    Enjoy!

With the curb weight of a 1967 being almost a 1000Lbs less than a modern GT AND with the newish Coyote motor- That weight to power ratio will hurt a lot of egos.

IMO there is nothing modern out there that can stir the soul like an old muscle car, my favorites the 67-68 Mustang whether slightly modified resto mod driver or a more sorted pro touring (tough for using daily here in NYC) or 70 Cuda at the same build level...although I love your brother’s black on black 70 .....the E-body Cuda is the one that stirs my soul..... maybe throw in a Mark Stielow 69 Camaro in that equation just to round out the big 3 garage list and I would be a happy gear head! Once I get my financials in order, I will be able to get a replacement for my stolen one.

I’ve got a 68 GT FE390 fastback still in LHD in Australia. The ONE reason I bought it was because it was original. Wherever I go it gets looks from all generations just because it hasn’t been messed with. Each to their own I guess but as a kid “Down Under” I drooled over this car. I’ve owned it for some 6 years now & each & every time I look at her, I smile, crank over that monstrous 390 & for a time I am Steve McQueen.😎👍🏼

These days, with all the choices with drivetrains, suspension, handling &stopping, not to mention paint and other cosmetic enhancements... $130k isnt really that bad a price tag in my estimation. You dont go into this kind of time/dollar expense unless this is what you truly want (or you really dont mind DEBT!) and to have something that is uniquely your own in some way ... building a ride dont come cheap!! When I got home from buying it, I realized the previous owner had put two full binders of service records he and the original owner kept. And you can get a nice well kept mustang with maybe an inline 6 for like 10k. Then the rest just goes into brakes, suspension odds and ends here and there and the work you need to do to fit the coyote in the car if you dont do it by yourself.

@@TheRobertChannel Doing the work yourself if you don't have the know-how, space, time or the right tools doesn't make sense at all. Swapping in a Coyote in ANY Ford unibody is hard. Shock towers needs to be removed, or relocated at a minimum, for clearance. you need to convert to rack-and-pinion-steering. The old steering box isn't going to work. Getting a modern rear end to fit isn't a bolt-in-and-out job either. The guy would probably spend equal to the building-cost in tools alone and then you add in the knowledge to perform it.
Many a project has stalled because people run out of talent. It sure looks easy on TV. Take it from a guy in the hobby (me): It's not as easy as it looks. Not even the simplest of tasks.
